Caenis and Anaxa led their people into the ruins of Castrum Kremnos.

On the ground, many 'remains' of Heaven's Wrath Warriors and Heaven's Wrath Hunters were scattered.

Anaxa walked over to these 'remains', crouched down, and examined the situation. After a thorough look, he said to Caenis, "These were cut down by sharp blades ford from an unknown energy. This should match the attack thods of the monster you've encountered."

"It seems it shouldn't be too far from here," Anaxa stated to Caenis.

"Hmph, a re monster, how would it know to flee?" Caenis sneered. "Let's go, watch find this beast."

She led her people to start searching for traces of the monster.

Soon, on an uncollapsed open space in the forr arena, they found Derick's avatar.

This was also Derick's deliberate intention.

He was genuinely afraid he had hidden too well and wouldn't be discovered by Caenis.

...

Seeing the four-ter-tall monster, the guide who had excitedly led Caenis and Anaxa over, hoping for a reward, was suddenly reminded of the terror from the slaughter a few days prior.

His legs went weak, and he couldn't help but stumble back a few steps.

"Ah!"

He was about to let out a terrified scream, but soone next to him quickly covered his mouth.

"Don't make a sound. We're going to ambush it."

Seeing that the monster had its back to them, everyone recognized it as a perfect opportunity for a surprise attack. Thus, they all held their breath, preparing to strike.

However, their actions had long been seen by Derick.

His avatar's perspective was quite peculiar, possessing both first-person and third-person views simultaneously. He had a clear view of their stealthy movents from behind.

Once these people had gathered, forming a rough semicircle, Derick began to move his avatar.

Before they could react, he gripped the scythe in his hand and, with a swift motion, slashed behind him.

A dark blade of light pierced through most of Caenis's subordinates, instantly creating a mist of blood.

"Ah!"

"It hurts!"

"This pain is killing !"

Caenis's underlings suffered heavy casualties, many dead or wounded.

"Damn it, this thing knew all along!" Seeing this, Caenis imdiately understood that the monster had discovered them long ago. Its lack of reaction was rely a ploy to lure them in.

The surprise attack had already inflicted sufficient damage, and Derick no longer held back. He brandished his scythe and charged into the crowd.

Swinging the massive scythe, he reaped the lives of his enemies with abandon.

"Before I transmigrated, whenever I watched movies about giant monsters, they were always from the human perspective, focusing on their desperate escapes. Now, experiencing it from the monster's viewpoint, this feeling is truly exhilarating. Especially since these people are all enemies who want to harm ," Derick thought to himself while controlling his avatar's attacks.

Witnessing this situation, Anaxa's eyes glead with an investigative light. He dodged to a concealed spot, carefully observing every move of Derick's avatar. Simultaneously, he prepared to make his own entrance.

Derick's avatar swung its scythe, heavily striking a wall. Huge stones ca crashing down, crushing several of Caenis's subordinates on the spot. Seeing her forces suffer such devastating losses, nearly wiped out, Caenis's eyes burned with fury.

To capture the monster, Caenis had brought all her elite subordinates. Now, in the fight against it, almost all of them had perished.

Even if she achieved victory, she had no idea how long it would take to recover from these losses.

Enduring the heartache, Caenis stared intently at Derick's avatar.

"Today, at the very least, I will kill you," she vowed internally.

Not rushing to act, Caenis had been an assassin before becoming an Elder of the Council. She had to find the perfect opportunity to strike.

Suppressing her anguish, Caenis watched the slaughter before her.

Waiting, continuing to wait.

Although her age showed, her physical functions had not declined in the slightest. At the sa ti, her skills had been continuously honed, her precision and timing even more refined.

Finally, she saw a perfect opportunity.

Now!

Caenis's eyes narrowed, and a sharp blade appeared in her hand.

Her entire being transford into a streak of light, piercing towards Derick's avatar.

The streak of light passed through the body of Derick's avatar.

Feeling the blade cut through heavy resistance, joy blossod in Caenis's heart.

Finally, I've killed this monster.

After suffering such heavy casualties, I've finally been rewarded.

A series of triumphant thoughts flashed through Caenis's mind.

Kill the monster, gain enough honor, and then join forces with Anaxa to master this monster's secrets.

Then, find a way to eliminate Anaxa and monopolize this knowledge.

Further on, I will absorb the Titan's energy, then eliminate those Chrysos Heirs, especially that woman Aglaea, and lead the people of Okhema in the fight against the Black Tide myself.

Finally, the Chrysos Age will return to the people of Okhema, and the entire land of Amphoreus will be reclaid. And I... I will beco the ruler of Okhema, and even of all Amphoreus.

Caenis was a person of imnse ambition, and she believed only this path would satisfy her desires.

As her mind reveled in these fantasies, she suddenly felt a tightening around her waist.

What!?

Caenis turned her head in shock.

She saw that the terrifying monster's eyes, far from diminishing in their blood-red color, had beco even more piercing.

Derick sneered internally as he watched Caenis, now firmly grasped in his avatar's hand.

His avatar had only revealed itself once before to the people of Okhema, and its abilities had not been fully demonstrated at that ti. Especially its immortality – apart from the Fla-Chasers, no one else knew about it.

Derick had also noticed Caenis preparing her ambush from the shadows much earlier. Just like before, he had set a trap, waiting for her attack to counter-attack.

Otherwise, with Caenis's skills, there was a real risk she could have escaped.

If she had chosen to flee and then remained in Okhema without venturing out, Derick would have had no opportunity to kill her.

Now, her ti had co.

His right hand tightened its grip on Caenis, the pressure gradually increasing.

"No!"

Feeling the agony of breaking bones, Caenis snapped back to reality.

At this mont, her thirst for power, her ambitions – none of it was more important than the desire to survive.

However, Derick was not going to give her that chance.

He raised his scythe high and swung it down at Caenis.

A flash of the blade, and this Elder of the Council, Caenis, who had repeatedly sought to contend with Aglaea for power and profit, lost her life.
