Lofu Xianzhou, Alchemy Commission.
Firefly, accompanied by Derick and Castorice, ca to see Hyacine.
Hyacine had only superficial injuries and, having received Bailu's treatnt, was now almost fully recovered. Her head was bandaged but her movents were unaffected.
Firefly ca over with Derick. Firefly looked at Hyacine, a remorseful expression on her face. Hyacine, however, graciously walked over to Firefly and took her hand.
"Libby," she said, "you look like you've recovered!
With Derick by her side, Hyacine naturally didn't have to worry about Firefly being hard again.
"Hmm, yes, I was controlled by a Heliobi earlier, which is why I did those things to hurt you. I'm sorry."
Firefly apologized to Hyacine.
"It's nothing, it's nothing. I know that wasn't you; it was all the Heliobi's fault." Hyacine quickly waved her hand, indicating it was fine.
But Firefly, still apologetic, said to Hyacine: "Also, there's one more thing I need to apologize for. Regarding my identity, I've kept it hidden until now…"
Firefly revealed her identity as the Stellaron Hunter, SAM, to Hyacine.
"So, Libby, you're SAM!" Hyacine was a little surprised, but her expression didn't change much.
She continued to pull Firefly towards the treatnt room.
"Anyway, you're still my patient. You've been away from the clinic for so long. Co on, let properly examine about your body, lest Entropy Loss Syndro cause you further problems."
"I-I understand."
Firefly was a little uncomfortable with Hyacine's actions, but she obediently allowed herself to be pulled towards the treatnt room. As they walked, Firefly's gaze couldn't help but drift to Derick several tis.
During the earlier events, Derick had devoured the Heliobi-created illusion of Firefly, and his body now carried an aura sowhat similar to hers. Of all the Glamoth Knights in the entire universe, only Firefly remained. Derick's aura gave the isolated Firefly a sense of kinship, and her gaze was unconsciously drawn to him.
Her rationality wouldn't be lost, but a natural feeling of closeness would exist.
Derick didn't notice this; he was quite tired after doing so much today. Seeing that most of the day's tasks were done, he decided to go back, eat sothing, and then rest.
"Let's go get sothing to eat," Derick said to Castorice.
"Wait a mont, can I make you dinner? During this ti, I've learned many thods for preparing Xianzhou food. Would you like to try what I've made?" Castorice asked Derick.
She loved to cook, and Derick was always happy to eat her food. Recently, she had learned many Xianzhou dishes on the Lofu Xianzhou, and Castorice wanted to try making them for Derick to eat.
"Alright, then I'll wait for you to prepare it."
Derick nodded repeatedly.
Seeing Derick's reaction, Castorice naturally smiled happily and pulled him towards their residence in the Alchemy Commission.
Lofu Xianzhou, Cloudford Docking Point.
Late at night, the sky was dim. Most Xianzhou residents had returned ho to rest, and the streets were already sparsely populated, not to ntion the dark alleys which were completely empty.
Several "Foxians" huddled together, their expressions wary and scrutinizing.
One male "Foxian" looked at the others and questioned: "What exactly is going on today? Did our intelligence leak? Why are there Cloud Knights coming to check if we Borisin are disguised as Foxians?"
These individuals were all Borisin, rely using secret arts to disguise themselves as Foxians and infiltrate the Lofu Xianzhou. However, one unlucky fellow got involved with Firefly, who was controlled by a Heliobi. Precisely to delay Hyacine, Guinaifen even ca up with the excuse of Borisin disguises. This excuse happened to catch that unlucky devil, an unintentional boon, so to speak.
"Hoolay," we don't know anything! Only we were part of this operation. There's no way we would leak our whereabouts to those Foxians!"
"Besides, we were all together before setting out. There was simply no ti to transmit anything!"
The others felt deeply wronged. We had no chance to leak anything! And even if we did leak it, would those from the Xianzhou Alliance believe us Borisin?
"Silence! If your voices get any louder, do you want the Xianzhou people to know?" Hoolay reprimanded them.
"Complete our mission this ti and leave quickly. Don't make any other reckless moves."
All the Borisin nodded in unison.
Their purpose in coming this ti was simple. The Crimson Moon was their Borisin sacred relic; under no circumstances could it fall into outsider hands. Now that it was inside an outsider's body, they had to tear open his chest and retrieve the Crimson Moon.
Hoolay wanted to tear open Derick's chest, retrieve the Crimson Moon, and beco the new War Chief.
One Borisin said worriedly: "Hoolay, I've heard that Derick is a terrifying figure who even managed to defeat a Lord Ravager. Wouldn't the few of us just be throwing our lives away?"
"Don't believe what the Xianzhou Alliance people boast about! How did he deal with the Lord Ravager! He had three Xianzhou Generals by his side. He let three Xianzhou Generals beat the Lord Ravager black and blue first, and only then did he make his move. If it were , I'd have handled it even more cleanly and efficiently!" Hoolay said disdainfully.
If Derick had defeated Phantylia single-handedly, Hoolay wouldn't dare approach him, even with ten tis his courage. But the problem was he didn't, so Hoolay wasn't as scared.
"Besides, if he truly is powerful enough, we could even invite him to be our War Chief! Anyone with ambition, I believe, wouldn't refuse this offer. The Crimson Moon within him would also help him make this decision."
As a branch of the Followers of Abundance, the Borisin, in terms of numbers and actual combat strength, could surpass any Xianzhou that didn't include its Generals. Their formidable reputation in the universe was well-known.
If a War Chief were willing to take control and unify the Borisin, that would be a formidable force. As for a Borisin War Chief not having Borisin blood, what does that matter?! Rupert II, who initiated the Second Emperor's War, was still an organic lifeform.
"Hoolay is wise!"
These Borisin continuously praised Hoolay.
The Borisin were now without a leader, and what they needed most was a new War Chief to lead them. Whether this War Chief was Hoolay or Derick, it didn't really matter. They now felt that they, the Borisin, were just wild dogs being exploited by other races, and if things continued this way, they would soon vanish from the entire Milky Way.
They quietly began advancing towards the Alchemy Commission.
The fact that Derick and others were residing in the Alchemy Commission was not news; it could be known by simply asking around on the Xianzhou. Hoolay and his quick-moving group had already been on the Xianzhou for several days and knew Derick's residence long ago.
They began to advance.
Just as they were about to reach the Alchemy Commission, a few of them spotted a lone youth.
"Hoolay," look at that child. He's alone here; there's no one else around. Although he's carrying a sword, there are so many of us... should we...?" one Borisin suggested.
The Borisin had a great craving for blood prey. They had been lurking on the Lofu Xianzhou for a long ti, and now seeing a young, naive boy here, they could barely restrain themselves.
"Alright, but rember to act quickly. Don't let anyone discover you," Hoolay thought for a mont, then nodded in agreent.
Just a small fry; it won't hurt anything important.
Hearing Hoolay's words, several Borisin's faces flushed with excitent. They then quickly approached the youth, intending to kill him before he even had a chance to react.
To conceal themselves, they didn't even drop their Foxian disguises.
They thought they were well hidden, but as they ca up behind Yanqing, he still turned his head to look at the Borisin.
"Gentlen Foxians," he asked, "have you co here to spar with ? Perfect! I'm currently comprehending swordsmanship, and was planning to seek guidance from Brother Derick again. It would be good to warm up with you gentlen first," Yanqing said with a smile.
Is this youth confused? What on earth is he babbling about?
The Borisin present were bewildered but still charged towards Yanqing. However, before they could even reach Yanqing, over a dozen flying swords suddenly shot from above, heading straight for them.
It was only then that they noticed countless flying swords hovering above the youth's head. They hadn't been noticed earlier due to the darkness.
What kind of person is this?!
Regret filled their hearts, but it was already too late. Yanqing's flying swords pierced through their bodies, carrying them and the swords far away before dropping them.
After doing this, Yanqing murmured to himself: "The swordsmanship Master Jing Yuan taught is quite effective. These Foxians attacked , and I defeated them in an instant. Now I can go find Brother Derick and see if there's still a gap between us."
After speaking, Yanqing strode towards the Alchemy Commission. The flying swords returned to hover above his head, circling Yanqing as he walked deeper into the Alchemy Commission.
And after he left, only a terrified Hoolay appeared there.
What on earth just happened? Wasn't that just a naive-looking youth? How could he possess such imnse power? Are all Xianzhou people monsters?
How could he possess such imnse power? Are all Xianzhou people monsters?
Also, what did he say? He wanted to duel Derick to see if there was a gap between them? Even at his level of strength, he wasn't completely confident he could defeat Derick?
Just how strong is Derick?
At that mont, Hoolay's idea of defeating Derick, tearing open his chest, and taking the Crimson Moon completely vanished.
It's better to honestly find an opportunity to locate him and then ask him to beco the Borisin's War Chief. Hoolay thought to himself. His earlier thoughts weren't wrong; the Borisin now couldn't be called wolves, only holess wild dogs.
