Chapter 41 The Ancestral Dragon Appears, Array Set for Battle!

That voice was calm, yet it seed to carry the will of all the water veins in the world, imbued with an irresistible majesty that instantly suppressed all the clamor and killing intent on the battlefield.

In the void, ripples of water undulated as a figure slowly took shape. It was a colossal dragon, so grand and majestic that words could barely describe it!

Its massive body far surpassed that of the Candle Dragon, like an ancient mountain range stretching across the ocean floor. Its scales were not of any mundane color, but shimred with a radiant luster like nine-colored glazed glass. Each scale seed to be inscribed with innate water-elent Dao patterns, glowing with profound brilliance.

The dragon’s horns were towering and magnificent, like two jade pillars propping up the heavens, glowing with a gentle yet commanding light. Its eyes, vast as the starry sea, opened and closed—Seemingly reflecting the birth and destruction of the four seas, the endless flow of all waters.

Simply by hovering there, it emanated a terrifying pressure that stemd from the depths of its bloodline, a dominance that reigned above all dragons.

All dragonkind, without exception, instinctively bowed their heads, prostrating themselves on the ground, trembling in fear.

A Quasi-Saint!

One of the overlords of the primordial era!

The progenitor of the dragon race—the Ancestral Dragon!

“Greetings, Patriarch!”

Thousands of dragons, including Candle Dragon, Baxi, and Fuxi, all cried out in excitent.

In the hearts of the dragon race, the Ancestral Dragon was the embodint of invincibility. As long as he took action, any enemy would be annihilated!

“Elder Brother! You must avenge !”

Upon seeing the Ancestral Dragon appear, Candle Dragon clung to him like a drowning man grasping a lifeline. Tears of humiliation flowed down his massive dragon face as he cried out bitterly.

“It’s that fiend! That ruthless intruder who appeared out of nowhere!”

“Not only did he slay the warriors of my clan and seize our dragon tribe’s sacred land, but he also pursued here, and now he dares to covet our ancestral domain!”

“I beseech you, elder brother, strike him down and tear him to pieces, to serve as a warning to others!”

The Ancestral Dragon swept his vast gaze over the battlefield strewn with carnage. His brow furrowed ever so slightly before settling on Chu Yuan. He did not imdiately erupt in fury, his voice remained calm, yet carried an undeniable authority.

“Fellow Daoist, I am aware of your grievances with the Candle Dragon and the Qilin clan. However, this place is the ancestral land of my dragon tribe. Your forceful intrusion and excessive slaughter have crossed a line.”

He paused briefly before continuing.

“Considering the difficulty of your cultivation and the virtue you bear, I am disinclined to make things hard for you.”

“Leave behind the immortal island and treasures you acquired, and withdraw. For today’s transgressions, my dragon tribe shall let the matter rest.”

Though the Ancestral Dragon’s words appeared to offer Chu Yuan a choice, they were steeped in condescension—bestowing rcy from a place of lofty superiority. As if allowing Chu Yuan to retreat unhard was an imnse favor.

“Hahaha…”

Upon hearing this, Chu Yuan showed no trace of fear. Instead, he let out a soft laugh. His gaze swept across the dragon clan mbers prostrated on the ground, finally fixing on the Ancestral Dragon with cold eyes.

“Ancestral Dragon? What arrogance! That island was unclaid, and I claid it first—it is now my Dao domain!”

“The Candle Dragon was greedy, tried to take it by force, and got hunted down in return. He brought that upon himself! As for the Fire Qilin—does the dragon tribe now speak on behalf of the Qilin clan!”

At this point, Chu Yuan’s tone suddenly sharpened, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.

“And as for you…”

He cast a contemptuous glance at the Candle Dragon, who was hiding behind the Ancestral Dragon, his face twisted with hatred and desperation.

“You think that just because the Ancestral Dragon is here, he can save your miserable eel-like life!”

Before the words even faded, Chu Yuan’s hands suddenly ford an incredibly profound set of incantation gestures. The 108,000 acupoints within his body trembled in unison, radiating brilliant light!

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Three hundred and sixty Golden Immortal-level Gu corpses flew out from his body. Each wielded a Profound Yin Fiend Banner shrouded in endless fiendish aura and resentnt, taking position midair!

Imdiately after, 108 Taiyi Golden Immortal-level Gu corpses erged. And then—four Da Luo Golden Immortal-level Gu corpses!

One of them had been refined from a Fire Qilin, while the other three were made from ferocious Da Luo-level beasts. The mont the Gu corpses appeared, the grand formation was complete!

“Ninefold Profound Yin Grand Array—Rise!”

The auras of the Fiend Banners and Gu corpses instantly rged into one!

Boundless black-and-red fiendish energy spread like ink, and the malevolent aura from a radius of ten million miles surged inward, flooding into the formation.

Gale winds howled, ghosts wailed and gods cried—countless vengeful spirits and wrathful souls roared and scread within the array. Even the quasi-saintly pressure of the Ancestral Dragon was suppressed by thirty percent!

“I am Gu Xuan. I’ve refined this array—please, fellow Daoist, offer your critique!”

The formation was set. Chu Yuan extended his hand with a beckoning gesture, actively inviting battle.

“This is…?!”

For the first ti, a trace of genuine astonishnt appeared in the eyes of the Ancestral Dragon, which were usually as calm as an ancient well.

Such a powerful and bizarre formation, along with those four Da Luo corpse puppets…

This Taiyi Golden Immortal was anything but ordinary!

No wonder he was able to relentlessly pursue and attack the Candle Dragon!

The Candle Dragon was even more shocked—his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that this Taiyi Golden Immortal, whom he had regarded rely as soone with strange tricks, was hiding such a terrifying trump card!

Back when he attacked outside Penglai Immortal Island, he hadn’t even used his full strength. And now, he had actively set up a formation and was challenging the Ancestral Dragon to battle!
