Chapter 27 Deep Within the Eastern Sea, Battlefield of Ferocious Beasts!

“Reporting to the Celestial Immortal, this pearl was discovered by our ancestor millions of years ago, by chance, on the outskirts of a terrifying forbidden land deep within the Eastern Sea.”

“That place was once a battlefield left behind from a great calamity involving ancient ferocious beasts. Resentful energy soars to the heavens, and it is shrouded in murderous aura.”

“There are countless terrifying beasts within. Our ancestor was weak and dared not venture deeper.”

“Battlefield of ferocious beasts…”

Chu Yuan inquired further about the general location and committed it to mory. Below, the rfolk moved swiftly. They gathered all their clan’s treasures and valuables, and soon, entire families were assembled and ready to leave.

When so clansn ca forward to ask where they would go, confusion surfaced on Shui Yun’s face as well. Every adult mber of the rfolk tribe possessed celestial-level cultivation. In the era following the Investiture of the Gods, they would undoubtedly be considered a terrifying force.

However, with the spiritual energy of the world now abundant, all living beings could beco immortals simply by absorbing this energy instinctively over ti. In contrast, the rfolk’s strength no longer seed exceptional.

Having offended the dragon clan, they now had no place to take refuge within the Four Seas.

“Celestial Immortal, our rfolk tribe has unfortunately incurred the wrath of the dragon clan. Many of our people have died or been wounded. We truly have nowhere else to go…”

“We humbly beg for your rcy, Celestial Immortal. Please take us in! Our rfolk tribe pledges to serve you loyally for generations, without a trace of betrayal!”

Having pondered for a long ti but unable to think of a way out for her people, Clan Leader Shui Yun simply knelt before Chu Yuan again and pleaded earnestly. Chu Yuan looked at the displaced rfolk before him, their eyes filled with hope, and his heart stirred slightly.

He was planning to establish a dwelling in the Eastern Sea, and it would be necessary to have attendants under his command. The rfolk, being gentle in nature and adept at underwater survival, would make a fine support force.

In this way, it would also settle the karmic debt from the gift the rfolk tribe had just given him.

“So be it,” he said.

At this thought, Chu Yuan nodded.

“I intend to find a place in the Eastern Sea to establish a sanctuary.”

“If you are willing, you may temporarily take refuge within my portable cave-dwelling treasure. Once I locate a suitable immortal island, I will find a place for your people to settle.”

“From now on, the rfolk shall be under my protection.”

“Thank you, Immortal! Thank you, Immortal!”

The rfolk chieftain Shui Yun and the high-ranking mbers of the tribe were overjoyed upon hearing this and expressed their deep gratitude with bows.

Chu Yuan said no more and summoned the Creation Pagoda. The gate of the pagoda opened, releasing a soft glow that enveloped all the surviving rfolk and their collected supplies, drawing them into the pagoda.

Once the rfolk were settled, Chu Yuan put away the Creation Pagoda and turned his gaze toward the depths of the Eastern Sea.

The Battlefield of the Slain… perhaps it’s worth a look, a thought rose in his mind.

No sooner thought than acted!

Guided by the general location provided by Chief Shui Yun, Chu Yuan, accompanied by Nuwa and Feng Ling, rode a beam of light deeper into the Eastern Sea. They flew for ten years straight before finally arriving at a strange and eerie sea region.

The deeper they went, the more the seawater took on a bizarre, dark red hue. The innate spiritual energy in the air grew thin, replaced by a chilling aura of murderous intent and an unrelenting sense of grievance.

Several days later, a vast stretch of land appeared before Chu Yuan—so massive it seed to have once been part of a primordial continent that had sunk into the sea. This “land” was an unsettling, sickly dark red, as if it had been soaked in endless blood for billions of years.

There was no vegetation on the ground, only jagged, grotesque rocks and dried bloodstains. The sky was shrouded in thick, churning clouds of black and red fiendish aura, blotting out the sun.

A desolate, deathly, and violently destructive aura surged forth as if it were tangible, assaulting the senses. Even Chu Yuan, a Taiyi Golden Immortal, couldn’t help but feel a heavy sense of oppression.

“Brother, this place gives the feeling…”

As a top-tier innate demon god with acute perception, Nüwa frowned.

“It’s as if the very heavens reject this land!”

“In ancient tis, when the great god Pangu cleaved open the heavens, he slew three thousand chaotic demon gods. After the heavens were ford, the corpses of many of these chaotic beings fell into the wilderness.”

“Their resentnt lingered and gradually gave rise to the race of ferocious beasts—creatures born of destruction, driven solely by the instinct to kill, and long since abhorred by heaven and earth.”

As Chu Yuan explained, he released his divine sense. Wherever his divine sense reached, the scenes were twisted and warped. Countless grotesque and terrifying monsters of various forms road the blood-colored land, howling and devouring one another!

These monsters radiated pure auras of slaughter and destruction, entirely devoid of intelligence. They were vicious beasts ford from endless resentnt and fiendish aura!

Their strength varied—so were only at the Earth or Heavenly Immortal level, while the stronger ones exuded the power of Golden Immortals or even Taiyi Golden Immortals!

And their numbers were so vast, they seed to blot out the sky!

What was even more terrifying was that this ominous land seed to possess so kind of mysterious power, constantly luring the creatures of the surrounding seas towards it. Once they entered the area, their minds would be eroded by the baleful aura.

Gradually, they would transform into new ferocious beasts, becoming part of this endless cycle of slaughter!

“What a deadly place! No wonder Ancestor Shui Yun dared not venture deeper.”

Chu Yuan’s brows were tightly furrowed. The intensity of the baleful aura and the depth of the lingering resentnt here far exceeded his imagination.

If this place were allowed to persist, it could beco a major blight on the Eastern Sea, claiming countless lives. Moreover, judging from the way these beasts fought and devoured each other, the strong only grew stronger—if this were to continue unchecked, it was entirely possible that one day, a truly terrifying entity would be born.
