....

The Herriet family's battleship was under Karyk's control. No one there could resist him, or even try to fight him. They had already seen the kind of strength he possessed.

Even if the crew requested reinforcents from the family, they believed it would be like sending prey straight to the predator's mouth.

Holding Jalen Herriet by the neck, Karyk entered the battleship. He had taken complete control following the death of the ship's captain.

"What are your instructions?" The Vice Captain of the Ship asked in a respectful manner as if he was talking to his Master.

Occasionally, his gaze shifted to Jallen, who was in Karyk's grasp. With little force, Karyk could easily kill the man who had managed to return alive from the battlefield.

Just the thought alone made him gulp heavily. He didn't know what Karyk wanted from them. If it was about wealth or treasures, then it was for the best.

"Take the ship to the Domain of Ti Lord," Karyk told the vice captain.

His words made Jallen flinch, his eyes opening wide. This man was truly crazy. Was he still trying to chase after the young ti lord?

He wasn't sure if Karyk had a death wish, or if he was really crazy. Did he not know that the one he was going to face was not the son but the father if he went there? Just what gave him this confidence?

If he wanted to die, then he should have died alone. Why was he trying to drag Herriet Family down with him? If they really did as he asked, the entire family was going to get dragged into this ss.

He gestured for the vice captain to stop Karyk, or co up with a good excuse.

He had barely made the gesture when he felt Karyk's grip around his throat tightening. Even the smallest of his movents didn't escape Karyk's observation.

"You can either listen to , or I can kill you and find the next person in the line of command who is willing to listen. The choice is yours."

The vice captain of the ship didn't doubt Karyk's words. This man was actually crazy enough to do sothing like this.

"I will do as you ask. However, it will take us at least two days to reach there," he told Karyk, who simply nodded. He had already received the mories of the captain of the ship. He knew that the man was telling the truth.

This ship was only half as fast as the Destroyer Class ship. While that ship was going to take at least one day, this ship was going to take two. However, the gap wasn't too big. He didn't think one day was enough for even the ti lord to arrange anything and leave his world.

"I expect to see myself there in two days. If it doesn't happen, then..." He didn't finish his sentence, but the man already understood what he ant.

He quickly rushed to the command center, and changed the direction of the ship, leading it towards the domain of the ti lord.

Even though Karyk didn't tell him anything about contacting the Herriet Family, he still didn't inform the family. If the family was inford, he was sure that they were going to send ships to intercept them.

If that happened, then things could only go downhill for him. He had to do everything to survive for as long as he could, even if it ant hiding so things from the family for a few days.

While the vice captain took control of the ship, Karyk tossed Jallen inside his shadow realm and went to the Captain's room that belonged to him now.

Inside the room, the first thing he did was to destroy all caras. Then, he took administrative control with the codes in the Captain's mories. He locked the door with the Captain's authority, ensuring that it shouldn't be opened from outside.

He opened his spatial realm, making a Sword float out. He was careful to not physically touch the Sword while it landed on the bed.

The mont that sword ca out, he was able to hear voices in his head, as if the Sword was telling him to approach it, and to free it.

He had already fallen for that trick once, and died. He wasn't hasty this ti. Even if he wanted to gain control of the sword, he wanted to do things properly and be more cautious.

He sat on the bed next to the sword while the voices in his head grew stronger.

"Free ... I will grant you unimaginable power!" He heard the whispers in his ears, like the sweet whispers of the devil.

"How can I free you?" he asked, waiting for a reply. Unfortunately, that reply never ca. He simply heard the repetition of the sa sentence again and again, as if sothing had lost his mind, and could only subconsciously speak out their desires, without any understanding.

Karyk didn't touch the sword barehanded. He covered his hands with the devouring essence of the abyss. The essence appeared in a black shade, taking the shape of a thick gauntlet that devoured the air around it as well.

He finally reached out his hand towards the hilt of the sword, and grabbed it firmly. The mont he grabbed the sword, he again felt as if his heart had simply stopped.

Once again, he fell on the bed, his breathing coming to a sudden halt. Even his gauntlets didn't protect him, as the sword took his life again.

If it wasn't for the abyss granting him near immortality that brought him back to life, he would've already been dead.

Karyk suddenly opened his eyes, his pale face gaining so composure. He looked at the sword that was lying next to him on the bed.

Even if he was cautious while trying to connect with the sword, it didn't work. He wasn't sure just what it was that this sword wanted from him!

"If you don't let control you, then I will have to forcefully take over you." He released his shadows, that rushed for the sword, trying to Devour it forcefully.

The shadows kept dying and disintegrating the mont they touched the sword, but Karyk didn't stop. He was the incarnation of Abyss. If there was sothing he didn't lack, it was the endless darkness.
