1093 Chapter 1093: Should I drag him down?
Karyk didn't know how to react to the revelation. He had been trapped in an endless cycle of ti, living the sa day again and again without even realizing it. Or rather, he forgot everything the mont his day reset.
Everything finally started to make sense. This was the reason the young ti lord wasn't scared of him. Even if he brought all the Aetherian Beasts, he couldn't kill him faster than he could reverse ti.
Even if he used poison, the man could escape through ti reversal. The ability to control ti was worse than he had imagined.
"Why didn't you leave this world instead of going through this endless cycle again and again?" Karyk asked the young ti lord.
The young man had tried everything, from hiding to asking for help from the other outsiders. None of that had changed his fate of encountering Karyk.
There was only one thing that he hadn't tried, which was escaping from this world. If the young man had left this world at the start of the day, there was no way he would have encountered him.
So why? Why would he rather stay here, going through this endless cycle instead of escaping?
"I can't leave this world without getting Aether. If I did, all my efforts would be for nothing," the young man answered, not even trying to hide the existence of Aether from Karyk.
He already knew that Karyk was looking for the sa thing. They had already gone through this conversation before.
"Do you know where Aether is?" Karyk asked, but the man simply shook his head.
"I don't know where it is, and even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you." He felt slightly relieved. It didn't look like Karyk was going to try to kill him in this life. He was a lot more cautious.
"Why don't you ask your friends? They never answer anyway." He left only a single hint behind and dragged the giant angel corpse away while gesturing for his followers to co with him.
Karyk was left behind at the border of the inner realm, watching the young man leave. His expression was unreadable, but he was clearly quite troubled.
One thing beca clear: He couldn't touch that young man unless he was absolutely certain that he could prevent the ti reversal.
He was concerned about that ability, but he was also greedy for it. In his eyes, the ability and Bloodline had suddenly gained even more allure. He had to take the man's abilities, at any cost.
Having an ability like that was no different than having multiple extra lives. Moreover, if he had to go against the Overlords, he was going to need as many extra lives as he could possibly gain.
"I need sothing that can stop his ti reversal. But what could I use? In the last forty nine tries, I used almost every bloodline I had stolen, but I couldn't stop him."
Lost in thoughts, Karyk followed the group from a distance. He had bloodlines that ca with many useful abilities, but none of them were useful enough in this matter.
He needed sothing more. He needed sothing that he hadn't used before, that could overwhelm the control of the young ti lord.
"I need a place where his ti reversal can't affect ."
Karyk had seen his past failures through the mirror of mories. It made him understand his enemies more, especially his own weaknesses.
He was sure that the answer was sowhere in those mories, sothing that had escaped his attention. He needed sothing that he hadn't used before.
"A treasure that can imdiately kill him?" he thought, rembering that there was indeed a weapon like that. But it was sothing that even he couldn't use.
Just touching that weapon alone was enough to kill him, let alone using it to attack.
"Can I lure him into touching that sword?" he thought, his eyes regaining so shine. But even he knew that it was easier said than done.
The young ti lord had to be a fool if he couldn't sense the danger from the sword. He shouldn't be tricked into touching that sword.
"Should I drag him into the abyss while he is still alive? Inside the abyss, the ti reversal would lose all aning. But it takes ti to drag living things inside. That's enough for him to use ti reversal."
Karyk maintained his distance, while trying to co up with a feasible plan. Unfortunately, all of the plans had one flaw or the other.
"Young Lord, do you know him?" In the distance, the young ti lord was being accompanied by the group that he had brought back to life.
They had heard so of the conversation between Karyk and their young lord. Sothing was different about their conversation. They didn't feel like friends, but also not like enemies.
"Is it alright for him to follow us? Should I send him away?" the girl asked the young ti lord.
"Don't ever try. You will die before you know it. I don't want to waste any more strength to bring you back to life." The ti lord rejected right away.
Even if he could bring them back to life, it took a lot of effort. Even if he didn't show it on the surface, he was completely exhausted.
Just escaping from the core region with the corpse of the Angel took a lot of effort, let alone coming across Karyk.
Every ti he used ti reversal, a little of his lifespan was used. He had already wasted a lot, to save his own life. He didn't want to waste any more to save these people.
In fact, the only reason he even saved them right now was to convince Karyk that he could reverse ti, and the things in his mories were true.
"Bring back to life?" Not only the girl, but the others were also shocked.
They didn't rember dying at the hands of Karyk, let alone coming back to life. They couldn't help but look back at the young man, wondering just what exactly happened that they didn't rember.
