" They do have different looks about them?" Samuel said looking at six wolves running around the small enclosure. Three of which who first exited their cages were daring and started inspecting each other first before focusing more on the surroundings.
The other three were ek especially one of them that looked kind of sick," Is sothing wrong with that one?"
" I don't think so. They were checked for everything just few hours ago at the holding facility near the harbour. I wouldn't risk bringing diseases here, that could ss up my whole plan."
" So you are basically saying that there will be more of them in the future?"
" Maybe but for now, these six would suffice. There look at that one." Peter pointed toward a specific grey wolf that seed to be staring at them.
" That's probably the leader. I asked about the one that captured them, they said it's a misconception in wolf lore to have alpha, beta or oga type. There may be so instances of the strongest male being the alpha but that didn't happen much in the wild. The test the theory was based on was done on dosticated wolves and over the years beca the norm for many movies and entertainnt.
Usually the oldest would take care of the pack but here most of them are sa age." Peter elaborated.
" So why do you say that ones the leader?"
" Can't you tell the way she is looking at us? Others are also keeping their distance from her seemingly to give her so space to assess their environnt."
Samuel nodded, it looked like his Uncle did his due diligence before going on this endeavour. It made him think that the whole idea wasn't that pointless after all.
" With you living quite close to their territory, I am sure you will be able to hear them howling. Do you know their howls could be heard for about six or seven miles distance? Isn't that cool!?"
" What the hell? They often howl to communicate, that ans I will have wolf howl as my background music?" Samuel felt a bit wronged for ever giving praise to him!
" Don't worry you will get used to it. For now, lets began the naming ceremony!" Peter said enthusiastically because he had ca up with a sea of nas just for this mont.
" That's easy, the female that you called the leader could be nad Luna, the most timid one could be nad after Darius the third."
" Who is that? That's a odd naming choice." Even people standing behind them were confused. Darius was a rare na but 'third' what seed strange to them.
" Don't you know about he biggest coward in history? He fought Alexander when he was in his twenties. Despite having bigger army he decided to run away from the battlefield on two seperate event.
That wouldn't have been uncommon if he just feared his enemies but then again, if you run away from a battle so quickly that you forget to take your mother, your daughters and your pregnant wife, you probably deserve the title biggest coward in history."
" Now you are just showing off but sohow it fits him when I look at him." Peter agreed. Darius, the wolf was timid, tucking his tail behind his legs, he just hunched back in farthest corner while looking around at his new environnt. Even the other two wolves that were scared at first were walking around inspecting everything!
" For the next one-"
" Hold it there boy! You getting two nas is enough, I didn't even want to give you that but since you are my nephew I gave you these leeway. Leave the others for !" Peter stopped him in his tracks. Samuel shrugged and let him co up with nas for others.
Peter went on a long ramble listing off nas, seventy percent of them were instantly rejected by Samuel and other people because they sounded like warrior nas which definitely didn't fit the wolves image.
In the end, the other two females were nad, Sage because of her darkest fur and Nova, just because other nas were bad. What appeared to be strongest male was nad, Titan and the other one was nad, Night the darkest among the males.
" Great, let's release them." Peter commanded and soone pushed the button to open the compartnt which connected the enclosure to the forest.
Samuel felt the wolves were much calm after they saw the sky except for Darius. He thought it was over when Luna who had the whitest fur daringly walked toward him. Other wolves that were about to exit also ca running behind her.
She ca few feet apart from the fence and stared at Samuel for a mont. He could simultaneously feel her curious intent and literally see it in her eyes. It seed understandable because his powers attracted animals.
" She seems to like you." Peter comnted. With this many people around, normally they would have ran away.
" I don't know but I should try to send her away." Samuel stepped forward and continued," Go on Luna. This is your new ho, you can run around to your heart's content." He decided to go with few encouraging words.
Luna continued staring for another mont before lifting her head up to howl violently. Everyone beca alard for a second but then they saw her turn tail and run through the exit. They honestly thought, she was ready to go on a rampage but fortunately that didn't happen.
" That was scary." Soone exclaid.
" What's scary about a bunch of wolves? If it were lions than I can understand it. I alone will be enough to handle a pack of wolves like this." Peter seed awfully proud of it.
" Stop boasting. A pack of dogs would be enough to take you down! I bet they would happily gulp you down seeing you look like a stuffed turkey with your clothes off." Samuel made a snide remark.
" Hahahaha, that's so true." Everyone began laughing because there was so truth to that! Unlike Samuel's lean physique, Peter was on the side of large body builders!
" Stop laughing you bastard! et in the ring at night! I will teach you why a stuffed turkey is still better than so chickens!"
They started bantering while watching wolves dance around the forest. Luna watched Samuel from the distance before leading her pack inside the dense forest. Everyone hung around for an hour before getting busy with their work.
The cages needed to be cleaned up and transported back to the harbour. There was also a need for guards to patrol the area one more ti because the real predators entered the sanctuary for the first ti, they needed to be alert for first few days.
Samuel also drove back ho, it was already getting late as sun was going down leaving the golden hue in it's path. Right at that mont, he got an alert on his phone about the delivery of dresses.
" They really work quick huh? I hope Kate has woken up by now." He thought while dialing her number. He didn't expect her to pick up the phone after few rings," Hello, this is-"
" I know. Do you expect to forget about your voice so soon?" Kate replied.
" I don't know if you saved my number or not."
" Don't worry it's the first thing I did when I woke up."
" About that, you were pretty tired when I left. I didn't expect you to wake up this soon."
" I don't know for so reason, I feel full of life but I can't say the sa thing about Bella. She has been cursing you after....you know...your failed attempt." Samuel felt a little bad hearing her say it.
He went a little rough in the heat of the mont. She just looked so enamored and sexy at that ti which was why he couldn't help himself. Thankfully, he stopped or else he would have made her cry with agony!
" I will apologize to her tomorrow night. You know our promise right?"
" About the movie premier? I did say yes but do you think it's right for you to take ? I am just saying I don't like to make things uncomfortable between us."
" What do you an?" Samuel didn't catch what she was trying to imply.
" I an, I heard that you have a lot of other girls. I read online that they are in hundreds, I can't possibly take everyone on by myself. If they are about sa size as Bella, I could give it a chance."
" hahahaha." Samuel couldn't help but burst out laughing. His life had beca a big conspiracy, with each passing day the rumours had exaggerated to the point of no return!
" I am not joking! I still value my life!" Kate was a little embarrassed but she told him what was in her heart.
" Don't worry about anything."
*Ring* Suddenly her doorbell rang and they both heard it.
" Just answer the door and tell if you like it or not. I took it upon myself to deliver few goodies for the evening."
" What?"
" I will pick you up at six alright?"
" Wait-" Samuel hung up the phone. In this way she wouldn't be able to deny his gift. He had full trust in the delivery man because he specifically told the manager to send soone convincing enough that Kate wouldn't be able to turn him away!
