" So? How co you never ntioned about your friend?" Samuel felt awkward driving the car in silence so he decided to start a conversation.
" Why would she? It's only been few days since you t right?" Bella added.
" It's not like that, I would have told you if we weren't so busy that weekend. She takes a minute to warm up to new people so don't mind her snide remarks." Kate took the high road.
" It's not like that! I just don't like handso young n trying to play with my friends heart."
" So you find handso. That's good." Samuel didn't let it get to him. He knew she didn't know who he was, if she did even if she didn't like him she wouldn't openly show such hostility.
There was also the incident where she ntioned sothing about Kate's past. It seed like his presence was sowhat related to it. He wanted to ask but was waiting for right mont since it was a touchy subject for Kate.
" Whatever, can you just drive in peace? I don't feel like talking to anyone right now." Bella refrain from indulging in his jokes. She faced the window watching the moving buildings. Samuel nodded and decided not to push it but Kate ca closer to her friend and started whispering.
" Why are you acting like a little bitch! Can't you just be your normal self?"
" That's rich coming from you. I can't believe you are letting him walk all over you! That's completely different from your 'normal self'."
" When did I do that?"
" Don't deny it. First having...sex in your office then having him dictate your life like taking a break. Just the way you act around him makes you completely different!"
Kate knew Bella had a good point. For the first ti in her life she could be completely normal around anyone not worrying about having her guard up. It was hard for her to explain it to her friend but Samuel just made her feel that assured.
She didn't know if it will change in the future because they didn't know each other for long but for so reason she had unwavering faith in this person. She also knew he was soone that she couldn't stay apart for long. Others may say that it's because he was rich and handso but Kate never bothered about that.
At first she too thought that she fucked up after their drunken night together but despite his constant pranking she knew deep down how much he cared about her. She didn't know much about his personality at first but Dhia was a avid fan and told her many things about him.
He was only a mysterious handso man before but the more she uncovered about him the deeper her feelings grew. There was a lot she wanted to ask him but she felt like they needed to know each other more before that could happen. She was especially curious about his playboy status because interacting with him, she only thought him as a gentleman despite his young age!
Bella saw Kate lost in her own thought and thought she pushed her too far too soon! She was about to apologize when Kate said," You may be right but I feel like it's best for . I just need you to trust this ti."
Bella looked at her sincere eyes and didn't know what to say. On one hand she was happy to see her smile genuinely but on the other hand, she didn't want history to repeat itself. She knew how much Kate had went through during that year, Bella had to literally drag her out of her room on several occasion whenever she found her crying of scared over simple things.
Kate had grown so much after it, she just didn't want her to fall back into that abyss again. It was hard to imagine her climbing out of it again.
" Ladies we can all agree that this car is small. I can hear everything so you don't need to whisper extensively." Samuel comnted. He had heard everything and ca to the conclusion that the problem was much worse that he imagined.
" You heard that?"
" Every word." They stayed silent.
" We don't need to talk about it but at so point you have to co clean with . It's not like I couldn't find out myself but I appreciate it hearing from you." Samuel was firm on his decision. If sothing was bothering her, he needed to at least elevate so of her burdens.
" I need so ti." Kate put her head down thinking whether it was the right call.
" You don't need to pressure her beside I hardly think you would stick around more than couple of weeks." Bella comnted.
" Hahaha, I am a greedy person. Once I see sothing I like, I will take it. I don't think you have any chance of stopping ."
" Oh yeah? We will see."
" I will show you. Also you are much cuter smiling, I hate for it to go away once you lose."
" See!? This bastard is already trying to flirt with ! That's what I was warning you about!" Bella took it as a excuse to pile on him.
" He is obviously joking. Why do you always get so worked about everything he says?" Kate added.
" I don't joke around with these things. I am quite selfish when it cos to girls beside I know I can handle it."
Bella didn't know what to say to counter him making a pass on her in front of Kate. She was feeling happy and angry at the sa ti, a situation that had never happened to her before!
" Sami!"
" Alright, alright. I will not do it again." Samuel chuckled. He obviously didn't an it but it was too funny watching the little devil jump up and down in anger. He was becoming like a expert at teasing girls and pressing all the right buttons!
Their banter continued and they didn't even notice before arriving at Kate's house. Kate did ntion that Bella lived close to her but he was waiting for her to give him directions when Bella said," Of course I am crashing at your place."
" Why?"
" I have my reasons beside I have most of my stuff here after all this is my second ho. Are you already starting to forget your friends?"
" Don't you need to go to work? I an, I might be taking a break but who will man the kitchen?" Kate asked trying to change her mind.
" If you can take a break why can't I? We can go on shopping sprees like we used to back in the days!"
" What about the bar then?"
" Christie could handle it. They can make everything except few intricate dishes beside, people don't co to our bar for food. They all want one thing that is to get drunk!"
Kate couldn't argue against her, Bella had stood beside her for many years. She did take occasional breaks but it was too far inbetween holidays.
She was also a little disappointed having her as a third wheel all of a sudden. She just wanted having so ti alone with Samuel but it seed the little minx was adamant on sleeping at her place. Especially after the little teaser, her body was still hot!
Getting confirmation, Samuel parked the car at the usual spot. She didn't have a garage because it was impossible to have one in these parts of london unless you are filthy rich.
He also felt it was ti for him to leave. Both of them were tired from their shift and would probably sleep after having their breakfast. If Bella wasn't there, they was a chance sothing could happen but it is what it is. He was blue balls but he was fine with it. It wasn't the first ti soone walked in on him when he was with his girls.
" I should leave now." He was ready to call up his ride when Kate stopped him. She even grabbed his arm for good asure!
" Why? Have you eaten already? If not co have breakfast with us." It sounded tempting but he didn't feel it was right when Bella was here.
" It's fine. I will co pick you up so other day."
" No, I insist. If you are worried about her don't take her seriously. I will make sure she remain silent throughout your stay."
" Is that a threat!?" Bella exclaid. Kate went behind her firmly placed her hand over her mouth. She tried to resist but it was impossible for her to do anything with her petite body. Kate also had upper hand when it ca to weight class, there was no way for Bella to compete with her voluptuous curves!

" Hold up, I almost got her."
" Kate!"
" What!"
" I think you proved your point." Samuel turned away because he could feel Bella stinging death stares. While Kate was struggling to keep her mouth shut, she accidently exposed one of Bella's breast. It's not like Bella was wearing skimpy clothes, it was a long dress but it was sleeveless making it easier for shoulder strands to fall off.
" Oh." She realised what she had done while Bella imdiately covered herself and hastily went inside.
There was a awkward pause before both went inside trying not to talk about it!
