Chapter 554 Deer?-2
Everyone waited as Elise extended her tiny hands to touch the baby deer. At first the small animal hesitated while looking at her hand but with Samuel's urging it ca forward to touch her tiny head to Elise's hand.
She started patting it's head with small strokes and when she saw that it was harmless, she ca closer to use both her hands to feel the soft fur of the baby deer. It didn't seem much but from the eyes of Samuel and others, it was the cutest thing in the world!
The girls cried out in delight approaching the two cute little things hoping to get a closer look. They almost scared the baby deer away with how loud pitch their voices were.
Samuel on the other hand left them to their devices and headed outside to et the guards that he just called. Two guys ca to et him, he would often see them around and also trained with them few tis in the past.
Samuel told them the everything about the baby deer, they were shocked to learn sothing got past the periter wall. The estate boundary was checked at least two tis during the day to ensure there was no breach in the fence, it was highly secured but recently it was modified hurriedly due to expansion.
Over the past few months they were trying to engulf a large area of the estate and rging it with the recently bought remote land because of the sanctuary, if sothing did pass thought it will be a point of concern for the security departnt.
They imdiately called the HQ and inford Daniel, the head of security, about it. As they waited for few minutes, they heard a helicopter flying over in the distance. It was not a wide known fact but with Rothschild's pull over the governnt, they were able to classify the whole estate as a no fly zone.
It wasn't as high where the comrcial planes fly but any lower class aircraft were unable to enter the area surrounding the estate. Which only ant that who ever was coming over had gained access from the headquarters.
He knew only few people had that kind of power inside the Rothschild family and just as he guessed he saw his uncle Peter and Daniel coming out of the helicopter as they landed to the left of the compound.
" Look who finally decided to show up. I still think it's a bad idea to turn our backyard into the sanctuary."
" How can you even say that as a nature lover? I still rember when I took you to zoo all those years ago. Your eyes were shining with curiosity." Peter said with a smile.
" That's what I an, curious but at a distance."
" Don't worry It will be fine. I made ample preparations and just to let you know they are coming in two days, I would love to bring everyone to see it."
" Still we need to find how that baby deer got here. I will bring so of the guys and see for the hole." Daniel was all business for so reason. Usually, he liked to joke around with everyone but he had a serious face. Samuel had a inkling as for why he was behaving like this.
" You don't need to bla yourself for it. It's all because of him, if sothing happens in the future just dump everything on him!"
" I can but ultimately it's my job to protect everyone. With little kids running around the estate, it put a grave danger once big animals arrive here. You go and rest, let us take care of it."
" That's right, big brother know what to do. Now why don't you show that little thing that you told about. Is it inside?"
" Before that, how did that baby even arrive here? I rember it's only been a few days since you transported them here. Did you bring young fawns too?"
" Why not? There were a bunch of them running around in countryside, due to lack of large predators their numbers are multiplying like crazy. They were happy and even thanked us when out guys arrived there. I will tell you about it later, shall we get going now?" Peter was eager to see the deer up close.
He was there during the transport but the animals were fearful of their presence. Even in cages they jumped back whenever he tried to get closer to them. From what he heard, the baby deer ca to Samuel's house on her own which ant they cald down a lot and had started adapting to the new surroundings.
" Enough talking, you are not going anywhere. Co with and sort out this ss first!" Daniel grabbed him.
" I can't even help you with anything! Beside it's so dark outside, you are never going to find it tonight."
" More reasons for you to co. The more n we have the better beside the deer is not going anywhere. Sami, I will inform you as soon as we are done. It might take a while so don't wait up for my call."
Peter tried to resist, he was a fighter to the core but he forgot where he learned everything from. Daniel imdiately subdued him and dragged him inside the jungle. Soon more people started arriving, carrying large lighting equipnt to better traverse the terrain.
It might take them whole night with how vast the periter was which was why everyone that was not busy ca over to help with the issue. Samuel saw them leave and went inside to see what others were doing, he ca to hear them discussing what to na the deer.
" Isn't Ella a better choice? It matches well with Elise."
" You aren't even trying. We have to think of sothing more cuter how about Bella. It has a nice ring to it no?"
" Isn't both sa? There is only one letter difference! Think of sothing better!" Iblis added.
" Alright, everyone stop whatever you are going. No one is naming anyone because we are not keeping her here!"
" Why not!"
" Her must have abandoned her, it happens I read about it sowhere."
" Are you able to say no to her when she is looking so horrified about it?" Mayra pointed at the little girl that was looking at him with puppy eyes. She was even holding the baby deer's head who too was looking at him with pleading eyes.
" Where did she even learn to do that?" He thought but as soon as looked toward the girls he knew they planned everything. The question was how could he skirt about the kid's feelings without hurting them.
" It's not good to keep her here. You know deers like to play around what if it stays in the house all the ti, wouldn't her family miss her?" He said softly.
" But what if they abandoned her like ." Samuel was shocked to hear her say that.
" Hey, nobody abandoned you just like her, I am sure they are waiting for you. Beside you have us, didn't I tell you that we are your family too?" He squatted down and patted her head. He felt imnse pain in his heart hearing her ntion about her parents.
"Umm." She nodded her head.
" Fine, she can stay the night but we have to find her mother tomorrow. You will help right?" Elise's eyes sparkled hearing him say it. She nodded her head which looked like it would fall of with how strong she was shaking it.
Everyone laughed looked at the little girl who hugged the deer more tightly. Samuel didn't know how to explain to her that the deer might soon beco food for the ongoing predators. Their sole purpose was a constant food source for the wolves, it wouldn't be a proper sanctuary without a balanced food chain.
" Go play with her, I have to talk with them." he send them away and faced the three mischievous girls that looked like the sky had fallen suddenly.
" You know we don't know how much she rembered about her past. Forcing her for silly jokes is a bit excessive. I don't really have much trust in Iblis and Adele but Mayra?"
" Hey! that's an!" Adele and Iblis exclaid at the sa ti.
" I am only saying that because you don't know about her past." He paused and again began speaking directly to Mayra.
"Don't you know anything could trigger her to stop speaking? It's the first ti I heard her ever ntion anything about her parents and her believing they abandoned her is the most painful thing I have to hear."
" I am sorry, I didn't know she would react this way. I guess seeing her happy made forget about so things." Mayra apologized with her head down.
" It's fine. As long as you understand, we have to be careful around her." He rubbed her cheek lovingly and lifted her head up.
" Hmm." She humd. Samuel gave her a peck on the lips showing that he was not mad at her for anything. Even he sotis forget about Elise's scars but he would definitely uphold his promise to her and find about what happened to her parents. There was no doubt about it.
Adele and Iblis were jealousy looking at them, he gave them so kisses. They blushed because it was the first ti they had showed love for one another in public. With everything resolved, Mayra soon brought out the dinner as they gathered around the table with their little visitor enjoying a feast.
