" I wanted to save this person for last." After going through about a dozen nas, he was at the end of his list.
" His na is Br-" Before Theo could say it, a person from the back made a run toward the unmanned door. He didn't expect Samuel to be already on to him; the office door was in the middle of the room, and they both were on the opposite side of the room.
.cοm The man thought he could easily outrun Samuel, but he was wrong; he wasn't even able to get a few steps before soone tripped his leg. The man was barely able to see the perpetrator before Samuel lunged at him.
He threw the man across the room, smashing expensive decorations in the process. The man groaned in pain, but it was only staring; Samuel pulled him up by grabbing his neck; seeing their boss fighting soone with their very own eyes made everyone aware of how far he could go to catch a few rats!
" Who are you?" The man stayed silent with a defiant look on his face.
" His na is Brian, but I don't think it's his actual na. He was recently transferred from LA to headquarters, which was strange because his transfer orders ca from soone who was involved in that incident." Theo answered on the man's behalf.
" How did we miss him?"
" He was an executive employee with a clean record. Other than that signature, I don't have anything on him currently. I only wanted to spook him, but he ended up exposing himself." Theo shrugged.
" Don't worry, I have plenty of ways*" A loud sound was heard, and the man was actually able to pull out so sort of weapon and fire it directly at Samuel's chest. It was clearly a gunshot.
" Hahahaha." The man started laughing maniacally, and even though his orders were not to do any harm to Samuel, the situation called for it. He didn't want to be captured, not by Samuel, who was famous for his ruthlessness.
" BOSS!" Alastair rushed toward Samuel.
"Sami!" Abigail followed him.
Everyone was shocked by the sudden twist; it was too much for their normal hearts to handle. Their boss was shot at point-blank range; there was no way he would survive, right.
" Stay back, I got this. His weapon jamd." Samuel yelled to keep everyone away.
" That's not possible. Are you from the main family-" Before the man could say anything, Samuel put him to sleep by tightening his hold. He didn't want him to blabber in front of everyone; he had unique things planned for him.
He put the man down and checked for injuries. He could feel slight pain in his chest, but it was already healing due to his regenerative powers. It was fortunate that he surrounded himself with a barrier out of habit, or else- he didn't even want to think about it.
" Boss, are you okay?" Alastair ca to check on Samuel. There was a big hole in his shirt and a light bruise on his chest. Other than that, everything looked normal.
" I am fine; how was he able to sneak a gun inside here?" Samuel was more worried about other's safety. He picked up the gun to inspect. It looked like a modified version of Glock, but it was made using unknown material. It didn't even feel like tal.
He was again reminded about the technological advantage his enemies had over him.
" We should go to a hospital-"
" It's fine; we should finish this eting first. I don't want a rat to ss up my evening. Everyone sit down." His nonchalant behaviours surprisingly worked and cald everyone down. They were in shock, but Samuel started speaking without giving them ti to think.
" Theo called the guards and detained him first. Check his body; see that he couldn't kill himself in any way."
" Alright, boss."
" Sorry for the inconvenience, but this goes to show what type of people we are dealing with. I don't want any of you to be afraid of this incident, but you should fear my wrath because I don't take heinous cris as a joke. Even now, my people are scouring the earth to look for their bases and rescue people, and they need our support."
" Not to make anyone paranoid, but I want everyone on high alert for a few months. They could run, but they can't hide from us. I just want you to do your job properly without caring about these things; Theo and my people will be responsible for their eradication." He paused and looked at their mixed reactions.
Also, for your own safety, don't discuss this incident with anyone. No one needs to know about this. That's all you can go now." He decided to end the eting early.
He decided to uplift their spirit before ending the eting so that they could understand that he was fully behind them. All the major issues had already been discussed, but there was still a problem left.
" Mr Park, Benjiro, you two stay behind. I need to know what you are doing here."
" That's alright, boss; it's not as important as your health." Benjiro wanted to leave.
" It's fine, sit down. Why are you guys still here?" He saw Abigail, Marilyn and Alastair still sitting.
" We also wanted to hear too."
" That's right, we are not leaving."
" You shouldn't do this right now." They voiced their opinions, but Samuel knew why they were being like this. He could understand how they felt; getting shot was not a good thing. Even though he dismissed it as faulty, those who knew about the weapon knew that an exploding barrel would have made more of a ss, not just a tiny hole in his shirt.
" Fine, but I told you already that I am fine."
" Boss-" Park Myung-Dae wanted to say sothing, but Samuel lashed out at them.
" Sit down already! If you are that worried, tell , what the hell is going on here? Why did you co here without notifying anyone?"
They imdiately obliged and sat down obediently. Benjiro looked at Myung-Dae, seemingly telling him to start first.
" It's because I didn't want to disturb you. I tried calling you for two days straight but wasn't able to reach you. That's when I heard that you ca here for a short vacation. I thought I would inform Miss Abigail first, but the situation deteriorated overnight."
Samuel did turn off his phone before he went out partying with Emma and Darren. But still, he couldn't understand why Myung-Dae was in such a hurry.
" I imdiately booked a flight to rush here; I wanted to co here and ask soone to pass the ssage, but I heard about this eting and decided to intervene. I thought you wanted to hear about it in person."
" Alright, let's hear it then."
" The Grace Generation and SK boys are about to break up."
