" Man, why didn't you tell that you already arrived in the city?" Darren exclaid as soon as he t up with Samuel.
" I didn't want to disturb the lovely couple. Was it so hard to believe?"
" Yes, it's strange. When we were leaving you explicitly told us that you will be there for few more days? What changed?" Emma added.
" Nothing, I thought it was good ti to leave early. With Christmas right around the corner It was a good chance to spend so ti with family." Samuel didn't tell them the whole truth. He didn't even know why he called Darren in the first place; he only needed to get away from ho for the ti being.
" Forget about the reason, you ca at the perfect ti! We were heading to the club, let's go and grab few drinks."
" Are you already out of pocket money?"
" Don't mind the details. Let's go! It's a sha that Rupert is not here since he had to head back ho."
" Alright." Samuel agreed as they drove toward the best club in the city. It was already winter, but the whole club scene was still raving with a sea of people.
But that was not a problem for Darren; he held the exclusive pass for almost all clubs to whatever city he visited. The club was called Pint Worth, the most exclusive in the city, where all the young people seed to gather.
Since Samuel was with them, he beca the initiator of today's party. With Darren and Emma, he entered the club; although he was not well known in the club scene, his face was famous in London due to recent news.
" Let's head to the VIP section, I can already feel girls gazing at !" Darren chuckled, to which Emma pinched him.
" Don't be too full of yourself; they are looking at the 'single' Sami, not you! Sami, shouldn't you call soone to accompany you tonight?" She asked. For so reason, there was sothing different about him today, especially his back that looked lonely.
" It's fine, I only want to drink tonight. Beside, Mayra was tired I didn't want to disturb her rest." He said as they climbed onto the special elevator.
" Eh? What about the other? Adele should be in town, right? Or Iblis?" She knew about most of his personal life; it was not strange for her to ask him seriously as she teased him a lot over the years.
" I don't know, I haven't talked to them much as of late. Stop talking about and tell about you guys, I was away for the most part but did you have fun in Paris?"
" Yes, dude we went-"
" We did but don't you think it's rude to ask us directly?"
" I don't."
" Welco, sir. Here is your reserved deck." The waiter interrupted them and showed them to their seats. Three of them sat down and opened a vintage red wine bottle; Darren poured for all of them as they started drinking like usual while bantering.
It was good that Samuel had sothing to put his mind off things as he even began laughing at Darren's silly jokes. They were talking about light topics when Darren asked the ultimate question.
" I heard that Elise was kidnapped?"
" What? When?" Emma was hearing it for the first ti. They knew about the incident with the Grace generation, but no details were shared by Samuel or his team.
" How did you know?"
" So it is true, I heard my butler recalling about it but he was not sure if there was any truth to it." Darren chuckled, feeling that he caught Samuel off guard.
" Well, sothing happened but she is safe as you already know."
They were sipping wine, and after Darren and Emma pressed him several tis, he spilled the beans. But not before telling him to keep everything a secret. They constantly inquired about the details, but Samuel didn't give them any nas or places, just hinting that city chaos was a by-product of his actions.
" I didn't know all that happened. It must be exciting fighting urban battles! You have to tell more!"
" Idiot! How is that exciting? Sami, why are you putting yourself in harms way for few thugs!? Don't you have the best teams for it? You shouldn't have went there and left everything to them."
" It's hard to think when one of you own is in trouble."
" that's true."
They talked for a few more minutes when Emma excused herself to go to the bathroom while Darren pestered Samuel to reveal more about the enemy. She left with a smile as she saw Samuel returning to his usual self.
However, ten minutes later, a waiter hurriedly approached Samuel and Darren for help. He was frantic in his speech, but after a few seconds, he could tell them what was happening.
" Sir, Miss Emma is quarreled with soone outside the restroom. Please follow !"
Hearing the report from the waiter, both were surprised. Although her temper Emma was good, they would not quarrel with others in public. She was too professional for sothing like this to happen!
Even then, they were not worried; with the club's popularity and it being in London, it could be said to be Samuel's ho ground. The person who made trouble for her must not have known about who she was with or was trying to stir up shit to gain popularity; either way, they had to shut them down!
Following the waiter, Samuel and Darren quickly arrived at the incident scene. At this ti, there were already so people around enjoying the scene.
A pretty lady yelled while Emma stood before her with a sullen face. It was clear from her expression that she didn't put Emma in her eyes and was insulting her repeatedly without a trace of worry.
Since there were so many bystanders, Emma failed to say anything back for fear of receiving backlash from the dia. She was stuck on the receiving end and was actively trying to calm the other lady down!
