Samuel could only sigh and enter the car, where the little girl stared at him. She made the decision even before consulting her first! So irresponsible!
" Elise, I am Samuel. It's nice to et you." He tried talking to her, but she only gave him a smile in return.
" Your mother. I an, Mayra just left. Will you be alright with ?" He asked gently, to which she ekly nodded her head. Seeing how cute she looked, it instantly lted his heart.
But the next mont, her loose dress fell over one of her shoulders, revealing a heinous scar on her collarbone. It took Samuel by surprise, but after that, he felt rage. When he reviewed Elise's details, he felt Mayra didn't even scratch the surface.
The temperature started dropping as his mind began to overload thinking about who dared to do such a thing to a young child, but suddenly he felt small trembling hands on his cheek. Elise was shivering, but she forced herself and, for so reason, tried to console him.
He could see her clear blue eyes as he stood between his legs, looking directly into his eyes. It's as if to say everything was going to be okay. How could soone show ntal fortitude at such a young age? Samuel didn't know the answer, but he dedicated this day to this little girl. , Besides, he didn't have better to do.
" I am fine; thanks for cheering up." Samuel gave her a smile and fixed her clothes. He noticed her appearance was a little unkempt and thought he could start there.
" Today, Elise will be a princess! I will do everything that my Highness commands!" He declared loudly. She giggled, seeing him return to normal but refusing to leave his side. He put her on his lap and started the car; he already knew their first destination!
