As soon as Talia lay down on the bed in her dical gown, many machines humd to life.

Samara told her to relax. The robotic arms thodically attached the monitoring devices to her body. It took even drew blood and run tests while Talia waited.

"Don't worry. They will take good care of you. I must warn you, it's going to be painful."

Talia nodded resolutely and glace toward her sister who was still watching her without any expression but there was sothing in her eye which betrayed her tough exterior.

It took few minutes before all the tests were done. Samara smiled gracefully looking at rhe numbers.

Her intuition wasn't wrong. Despite her age, she was in peak condition in every aspect. Ariel also glanced at the result but didn't say anything. She was worried about Talia but didn't want to show it in front of her master.

"Everything looks fine. Try to relax, the main phase of the operation will begin soon." As she said it, several robotic arms started restraining her on the bed.

Talia didn't panic as Samara was constantly reassuring her that everything was a part of the plan.

Ariel clutched her hands in anticipation. She didn't want her sister to die knowing well, she wasn't t fault for their father's mistake.

But she knew she couldn't do anything against her master. If she werento fight her, she would lose easily as everything she knew was taught by her. Beside, despite the old age, Samara was vicious and brutal especially toward anyone who betrayed her.

Her hastiness could easily lead to her and Talia's death so the only thing she could do was to pray and hope Talia would survive the first ordeal.

Soon, different kind of equipnts began to hum to life. There were eight syringes at their end as they positioned it toward her arms and legs.

Looking at the murky liquid in them, Talia panicked a little. These must be poisonous and just by looking at the pitch black color of the liquid she felt a eerie sense that they were more dangerous than her Raani's special formula.

Suddenly, a different robot proceeded to gag her so that she wouldn't bite off her own tongue due to pain. Talia composed herself, reassuring herself that everything would be fine.

Despite Ariel's repeated warnings, she wanted to trust Samara. Unlike her sister who was aloof and cold, the old woman never shown any hostility towards her.

"The process will begin. Try to endure it and don't ever lose consciousness no matter how painful it gets." Samara warned her before pressing the button to begin the experint.

All eight needles dug into specific parts of her limbs simultaneously. The first few seconds she felt nothing but then a surging pain erged spreading from her limbs toward her core organs.

Samara was saying sothing but her ears had started to ring making it impossible for her to make out their aning. She held strong feeling the fiery embrace of the poison when it reached her heart she felt like she was on the brink of death.

"This...I don't think she will survive it." Ariel saw Talia's body convulse violently, the blackness, a special side effect of the venom spread from her limbs toward her heart and not it was making it't way toward her brain.

This is the reason why Samara's poison was so effective, once it the target's body turns fully black they will lose their life, there was no reversing it if the poison spreads to one's heart.

It was truly vicious and cruel way to die and Ariel had quite a lot of experience with it during the ti when she too was being trained in the arts of Vishkanyas.

"Give her ti. She hasn't flatlined like the others. Her body is trying to fight it and since it's her first ti maybe she will take longer to recover." Samara strangely believed she would be successful even when witnessing Talia's limp body on the bed.

They watched intently for hours, Talia's vitals were so weak that she would have been pronounced dead if not for their sensitive equipnts.

Samara went to do so more work, she wasn't as free while shouldering the whole organization on her back, while Ariel diligently waited for the results. She never expected she would pray for anyone but seeing her sister like she felt pain for the first ti which confused her quite a bit.

"What's the update?" Samara returned which made Ariel startled but she soon composed herself.

"Are you worried about her?"

"No, I was bored and dozed off. This is the record for the longest soone was able to fend of against your poison."

"It's to be expected. The concentration was quite low and if she survives we will increase it further for the next phase." Samara said nonchalantly not caring at all about Talia's struggles.

"Wouldn't it be to dangerous? There should be gaps-"

"Girl, how many tis I warned you not to question my thods?"

"I am sorry master." Ariel bowed her head knowing she crossed the line.

That's when Talia's vital suddenly start recovering. It climbed faster and faster which made Samara smile with satisfaction. Such a drastic recovery was beyond her expectations.

The blackness covering her skin also retreated and this ti instead of her natural golden skin, her skin looked light and paler which was a clear sign that their test had worked.

Ariel experienced the sa thing, she was much more darker as a child but after repeated taking the poison, her skin turned paler. Now anyone could tell that she was a mixed child but it was quite hard when she was a child.

After twenty more minutes, Talia regained consciousness but she felt her sweat covered body as well as aches that perated to her bones making her weak.

"Just keep laying down. They will help you clean up since there could be residual materials on your body."

Talia could only nod weakly but she was happy that she passed. Samara knew the success of this operation was her carrot approach, the subject wasn't afraid and went along with the procedure enduring it till the end.

She made so notes and began to think about the next dosage. She felt like she could increase the concentration to see how Talia would react to the next phase.

On the other hand, Ariel took a sigh of relief seeing Talia was fine. She was doing much better than other candidates. Many people would have unexpected side affects like blindness or lack of speech but Talia was just weak, the results confird that her body was quite suited for the procedure.

Maybe she was worrying too much and Talia could really pass the ritual setting opening new frontier for the Vishkanya clan!
