" Did you fun with your grandmas?" He said patting the little girl's head. She purred like a cat in his embrace before pushing him further with both of her hands.
" Yes, I wish Sami could be there with us today! We went to so many cool places!" She said with both her arms in the air. Since she was so animated, he put her down as she began to rant about everything she had seen today.
" Alright, alright, you can tell all about it but right now I am cooking your favorite food. I don't want it to burn so why don't you go upstairs and change into sothing more comfortable?" He stopped her which made her pout. It felt like he was ignoring her.
" Bad Sami! I don't want to talk to you! Humph!" She called him out before running upstairs not before grabbing the toy bag. Toys were light so even sothing that was her body height was easily dragged by her.
He watched her leave and told her to be careful on stairs. She was as fiesty as ever so he couldn't do anything about it. He knew he had to listen to her a lot tonight or else she would probably be unhappy with him.
He didn't tell her about his departure so tonight he wanted spend as much ti with her as possible and break the news to her slowly. If he wasn't in such a hurry, he could have stayed for few more days accompanying her after all she was about to start schooling soon but unfortunately he wouldn't be here for her first day which was regretful.
Eleanor and Mathilda just sat on the sofa trying to rest their tired legs. Both were exhausted after full day of accompanying Elise around the city. They went to many famous attraction and basically shopped along the way amassing lot of bags, few were bought for Elise while others were picked by her for everyone else. From her beloved Samie to Kayla and Mayra and even the people that weren't here, she rembered everyone and bought things for them.
" Thank you for your hard work." He ca out with two glasses of water. He ut one slice of lemon and sprinkle of salt and sugar, a special blend of lemonade which was light ideal for elderly.
" Well, I never thought she had this much energy. She has been running around without stopping." Mathilda said with a smile recieving the glass.
" If not for her being hungry, I think she would never stop! I always thought young boys were naughty but she eclipsed all of them." Eleanor said with a sigh slumping into the sofa with glass in hand.
She did raise two sons and knee how naughty kids could be but Elise was on a whole different level compared to them!
" By the way, where is Kayla and Mayra? Are they helping out in the kitchen?" Mathilda asked curiously. As far as she knew, Mayra was more sensible who knows few things about cooking but her own granddaughter was no different from the man of the house.
She liked drinking and rarely helped around the kitchen so most of the ti she would be dragged by Mayra to atleast wash dishes regularly after all they didn't hire any outside help to cook and clean and both had regular jobs. Most of it was done by Mathilda like breakfast and dinner and taking care of Elise when they were away.
" Well.." Samuel didn't know how to answer her. He expected them to wake up by now after all it's already past seven in the evening, if they sleep long they wouldn't be able to catch sleep at night which would ss up their biological clock.
" Did they go to work? I thought they wanted to take a break today?" She asked again.
" They did but right now they are too tired. Didn't Helga and Katarina moved out recently to visit their hotown? They are downstairs cleaning up the room after all it would sll moldy if left alone for too long."
" Oh.." Mathilda only nodded but Eleanor could tell the little grandson was definitely hiding sothing but she was too tired to gossip. The lemonade did help her relax so she just wanted to lay down for a while before thenfood was ready. Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire
When she learned, Samuel was cooking she was a little expectant in her heart after all whatever he cooks really taste great. She didn't know what kind of blessing he had but even back ho with world famous chefs, thry couldn't really create the sa taste.
She always thought he had so kind of secret recipe or ingredients otherwise the taste difference wouldn't be so great. She asked plenty of tis but he would always denynit saying it was just common food and ingredients. After many years, she leg go of such questions and began to enjoy his cooking more. He never cooked regularly so it was still a novelty to her even after all these years.
" What are you making?" She asked.
" Everyone's favourite food. There are few missing ingredients so the taste might not be the sa." He knew he couldn't really expect sa level of care in Kayla's ho pantry as back at the Estate. Still, he was confident in his techniques.
" Good, good, it's been a long ti before I ate als cooked by you."
" Well, it's too early to eat. Why don't you rest? I will let Ash out, he could accompany Elise for the ti being. Let her run around the house so that she wouldn't disturb the two of you." He went to another room and let out Ash, the black husky out of it's dog cage.
It's blue eyes looked at him with hatefulness obvious that everyone forgot about him today! He apologized to the dog and gave him so snack before telling it that it's little master was back.
Ash already knew about it so after wolfing down the food it went upstairs to find Elise. Seeing the dog speed through the living room, Samuel could only shake his head and went back to the kitchen.
