This irresponsible attitude of his made Charlotte feel a bit chilled.

She put down her knife and fork, stood up from the dining chair, and said softly, "I’m done eating."
Seeing her turn away like this, Robert’s previously smiling expression instantly darkened. Watching Charlotte’s retreating figure, he thought, fine if her temper is getting bigger, but now she throws a tantrum at a few words.
With her whole rotten temper, she still thinks of having a child.
A child isn’t a tool for her to vent her temper on.

On the way back, neither of them was in a good mood.
When Charles Grant ca to pick them up, he was in a good mood at first, but seeing both Charlotte and Robert with cold faces, he didn’t dare to speak, and nervously drove them back.
Charlotte was dropped off at Robert’s residence.
The man had spent a week going out to pick her up, and as soon as he returned, he went straight to the company. When Charlotte first returned to this place she grew up in, she unexpectedly felt a bit unfamiliar, but the maids at ho were very happy to see her return. Listening to them, Charlotte only felt annoyed. She didn’t want to know about Robert’s matters with the Madison family, so she left the crowd and went directly upstairs to find a guest room and slept.
When she woke up, the air was filled with the scent of dicine. Charlotte sat up and looked out the window, realizing it was still broad daylight and she had only slept for a little over two hours.
A maid ca in after knocking on the door and brought in a bowl of soup, smiling as she said to Charlotte, "Miss Smith, Mr. Stephens asked soone to bring you a century-old ginseng. He asked us to cook it to nourish your body, so hurry up and drink it while it’s hot."
Half-asleep, Charlotte asked subconsciously, "Ginseng?"
"Yes." The maid snickered, "Mr. Stephens said you’re pregnant and weak, needing ginseng to replenish. He even took the birthday gift for Lady Stephens being given in a few days to brew it for you."
Looking at the ginseng soup in the maid’s hand and rembering Robert’s attitude when he returned, Charlotte felt a bit confused.
What on earth did Robert an?
Does he...want or not want this child?
She blinked lightly, looking at the ginseng soup in the maid’s hand, cautiously asking, "There’s nothing else in it, right?"
"Yes, there is!" The maid replied quickly.
"!"
"We added a few other herbs, all for nurturing pregnancy. You’re really sothing; even pregnant, you have squabbles with Mr. Stephens, and Mr. Stephens is worried sick about you."
"..."
