"......"

Charlotte caught a breath, almost choking on his words.

She watched as Robert Stephens called over the sales assistant and selected a diamond ring.

The diamond ring was the latest model of the year, elegantly stylish, with a rare pink diamond set at the top, exuding a lively and romantic aura.

Robert Stephens asked her, "Does it look good?"

Charlotte lowered her eyes, too lazy to bother with him, and replied perfunctorily, "As long as she likes it, it’s fine. I’m not her."

Robert said casually, "I don’t understand what girls think."

Charlotte gathered her spirits and looked at the pink diamond again. Pink diamonds are relatively rare, and with the sa design and carat, they are hundreds of thousands more expensive than white diamonds. With this gift, Robert was spending a fortune.

So generous, indeed.

A tinge of sourness spread at the tip of her tongue, and Charlotte turned her head away, annoyed, "I don’t understand what girls think either."

Nicholas Woods stepped forward to diate, "Mr. Stephens, no girl would dislike pink. Janet Madison would surely be delighted with this."

Robert remained silent. He took the diamond ring from the sales assistant and examined it in his hand.

His long, cool, fair-skinned fingers holding the silver ring were a pleasing sight, more alluring than a ticulously shot advertisent by a professional photographer.

He stared at it for a while, seeming to ponder deeply, then said to Charlotte, "Hold out your hand."

Upon hearing this, Charlotte glanced up at the man.

His handso face, eyes looking down at her, those particularly profound eyes seed unintentionally affectionate at this mont.

"Wh-what?" she stamred, unsure of why.

Impatient with her slowness, the man, in stark contrast to his refined and handso face, lacked any gentlemanly deanor as he directly lifted her right hand and slipped the ring onto her ring finger.

The slight chill of the ring against her sensitive fingertip seed to make her heart skip a beat. Charlotte’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Robert Stephens’s face.

The man, with lowered eyelashes, perford this action with focused expression, pushing the ring all the way to the base of her ring finger.

Nicholas chid in flatteringly, "Mr. Stephens, this pink diamond truly complents fair skin. A keen eye indeed."

"..." Charlotte, eyes wide, couldn’t help but gaze at Robert Stephens, hoping he might say sothing at this mont.

Robert, holding her hand, examined it from side to side for a while, then asked in a calm voice, "Does it fit well?"

"It fits well," Charlotte stamred.

The man nodded once, then turned to the sales assistant, "Wrap it up."

As he spoke, he slipped the ring off her finger.

"..." Charlotte couldn’t help but look at him.

While waiting for the gift to be wrapped, the man replied to a few work inquiries on his phone, his gaze eting hers as he seed to rember sothing, finally explaining, "Her fingers are the sa size as yours. If it fits you, it should fit her too."

"......"

Charlotte was silent for a few seconds, resisting the urge to lose her temper, clenching her fingers tightly.

So he brought her here just to use her as a fitting tool?

Nicholas, standing by, said, "It seems Miss Smith’s birthday is coming up as well. Mr. Stephens, since we’re out today, shall we buy a gift for Miss Smith too?"

A feeling stirred within Charlotte, and she couldn’t help but look at Robert Stephens, only to hear him say coolly, "No need."
