In this world, probably only a man like Edward Stephens would say sothing like "seeking a sugar mommy" with a straight face.

Where’s your face? What about a man’s pride? At the very least, couldn’t you put it more subtly?

Daisy Ginger took a deep breath, glared at him, and said harshly, "Keep dreaming."

The man glanced at her with a smile, then sighed, shook his head, and continued fishing.

This place is picturesque, and as soon as the bait was lowered, a dumb fish took the hook.

Daisy watched him leisurely catch five fish in half an hour. Curiously, she walked over to look, and the man glanced at her, warily covering with a lid.

"What are you doing?" Daisy asked.

"Don’t co over, you’ll scare away my fish."

Really?

Daisy snorted, took a few steps back, saw he was a bit displeased, picked up a small stone from the ground, and threw it far into the lake.

"Splash!"

Water splashed everywhere.

Taking advantage of the man’s lack of attention, Daisy imdiately ran away.

Edward Stephens looked at the ripples in front of him, slowly turned his head, and watched Daisy’s retreating figure for a while.

There was a bit of a smile on his face, then he sighed lightly and muttered, "...Idiot."

*

Daisy didn’t return to where Edward Stephens was staying.

Mainly because that little shabby place of his wasn’t fun at all.

Having eaten enough and not feeling sleepy, Daisy planned to stroll around the town.

The town was full of native-born Aricans, and because it was remote, their clothing and fashion lagged a few years behind the city, and their accent made it hard for Daisy to understand their conversations, even though her English was good.

There was a small bar in town, and Daisy planned to go in for a drink.

It was dayti, so there weren’t many people in the bar. In the dim light, a few locals sat in scattered groups, looking up at her as she entered.

Daisy sat at the bar, ordered a whiskey, and took out her phone to chat with Zoe Hilker.

It was nightti in Banyan City. Zoe, a night owl, was in their shop, and when she saw Daisy’s ssage, she imdiately replied.

Just as they were happily chatting, soone suddenly grabbed Daisy’s wrist from behind and pulled her up. An unhappy man’s voice ca from behind, "What are you doing here?"

Daisy turned around to see the man’s tensed brow and stern expression.

"I..." She was about to explain when, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed several n standing up from the sofa, their gazes fixed on the two of them, adding an oppressive feel to the air.

Edward glanced at Daisy’s unfinished whiskey, took it to sniff, and his expression soured further. With a cold face, he gripped her slender wrist, said nothing, and led her out of the bar.

Daisy also sensed a strange vibe, so she said nothing, letting the man lead her away from the n who had gathered for unknown reasons.

For so reason, those people didn’t make a move against Edward.

It wasn’t until they were outside the bar, bathed in sunlight, that Daisy exhaled a breath.

Before she could finish exhaling, her forehead was flicked hard, causing her to cry out "Ah!" in pain, "What are you doing?"

Edward looked back at the bar as a few n followed them out, frowning, he lowered his head and whispered harshly, "I’ll deal with you later!"
