Edward Stephens brought her out of the clothing store, but did not go back.

Instead, he took her to the small supermarket in the town.

He pushed a cart inside, Daisy Ginger followed behind him, watching him pick and choose, buying eggs and pork, and even a bag of flour.

Finally, he bought five kilograms of rice.

The small supermarket didn’t have much, not even fresh fish or at, so Edward Stephens had to settle for a frozen raw chicken, saying he would "make her chicken soup" when they got back.

Daisy Ginger followed behind him, hearing this, she pouted, "Can Irene make chicken soup?"

Edward Stephens pushed the cart to the cashier, and said calmly, "I can."

Daisy Ginger looked at him in surprise, then scorned, "Do you have no sha?"

The man shrugged, "Just you wait."

Because they bought a bunch of stuff, when they got ho, Irene saw him carrying bags and seed a bit startled.

Edward Stephens said to Irene, "Go wash the clothes, Daisy Ginger needs them for tonight."

Irene nodded and then gave Daisy a sweet smile, taking the newly bought clothes away for her.

"There’s nothing much to do here, if you’re bored you can watch so TV," the man rolled up his sleeves, revealing slim forearms and knuckles, and started tidying the wrinkles on his cuffs, "I’ll go make you dinner."

"..."

Daisy Ginger looked up at him, seeing his serious deanor, for a mont she didn’t know how to criticize, hesitated, and simply withdrew her gaze, turned around, and went to sit on the sofa, picking up the remote control.

The man glanced at her a few tis, withdrew his gaze, and softly chuckled.

*

Daisy Ginger held the remote control, flipping through channels aimlessly, possibly due to having sothing on her mind, she couldn’t even pay attention to talk shows.

She couldn’t quite understand, initially she ca to Edward Stephens to get her money back, but sohow ended up sitting on his sofa watching TV.

What’s Edward Stephens doing now?

Is he really cooking?

Daisy Ginger looked up, glancing towards the kitchen.

The man had been inside for over half an hour.

Due to the small size of the house, she turned her head and could see Edward Stephens moving about in the narrow kitchen.

Then, there were the sounds of the stove being turned on, the silhouette of chopping vegetables, and the sound of water flowing from the tap.

It sounded quite skillful.

Daisy Ginger had never been in a kitchen, in this lifeti cooking seed to have no connection with her, Edward Stephens’s hands didn’t look like they were ant for holding a kitchen knife either.

She got up, sowhat stealthily walking over, wanting to see what he was actually doing.

Before she reached the doorway, the alert man noticed her, appeared at the kitchen door, gave her a glance with a smile, unceremoniously shook his head at her, and then closed the door in her face!

"...!"

Daisy Ginger paused, slightly raised her chin.

A bit annoyed!

It’s just cooking, why the mystery?

She really wanted to just walk over and boldly demand Edward Stephens open the door, but when she thought about her and Edward’s relationship, she gave up...

It’s not like they’re in any sort of relationship where they can make demands of each other... right.

Pouting, Daisy Ginger sat back down on the sofa.

The kitchen door was closed, and the noisy clattering inside suddenly quieted down, she curled up her legs, wrapped them in her arms, rested her chin on her knees, and with focused ears, sowhat mischievously thought—Does Edward Stephens really know how to cook? Hopefully, he won’t blow up the kitchen, right?
