Daisy Ginger coldly said, "He’s just a liar."
After saying that, she no longer listened to Ryan Smith’s nonsense and directly hung up the phone.
Because of her bad tone, Erin Ginger, standing next to her, also remained silent. Daisy looked at his cautious expression, realized she had scared him again, and sighed slightly, rubbing Erin’s face, "It’s okay, let’s go."
Ever since arriving here, she could hardly control her temper, and her tone had beco harsh. It was probably the first ti in all these years that Erin discovered his mother had such a bad temper.
Daisy wanted to hold back and be a gentle mother, but whenever it concerned Edward Stephens, she completely lost control of her temper.
She couldn’t forgive at all, no matter how nice Ryan’s words sounded, it couldn’t cover up the fact they deceived her for four whole years.
Those heart-wrenching, despairing, and chaotic tis were actually just a joke.
She spent three whole years healing from a word Edward Stephens said, even accepting the fact she had completely lost him. Now, they tell her it was all to deceive her, for her own good.
No one cared about her feelings all these years, as if not forgiving Edward’s sacrifice was unreasonable fussiness.
She so painfully accepted Edward forgetting her, nobody could understand her despair, fear, and confusion back then.
She sacrificed everything for him, and she couldn’t understand why he abandoned her for an uncertain outco.
Daisy took a deep breath, suppressing all her emotions, telling herself there was no reason to turn back since she had already chosen to let go.
She took Erin by the hand and walked out of the hospital to hail a cab.
Ryan’s call ca in again.
Daisy glanced at it and directly hung up.
Relentlessly, he kept calling.
Daisy didn’t know what kind of madness he was in, even though he was Edward’s friend, the matters between her and Edward were not his, Ryan Smith’s, business to ddle in.
She answered the call, cutting him off before he could speak, "Do you think you’re not ddleso enough?"
"......" Ryan paused, his voice hoarse, "Edward has gone into the operating room. Do you want to co see him?"
Daisy clenched her fist, "Are you trying to trick again?"
"What can I possibly trick you with?" Ryan sighed helplessly, "Daisy, I’m telling you Edward’s old illness has relapsed, it’s true. Co up, let explain everything to you properly, okay?"
"What can’t be explained over the phone?"
This woman, she really is...
Ryan let out a deep sigh.
"...I told you he regained his mory a year ago, that was a lie. A year ago, due to overwork, Edward’s leukemia relapsed, and he’s been undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital. The bone marrow fluid extracted from you back then has been cultivated in a laboratory under sterile conditions, so we haven’t contacted you."
"...You’re lying to ."
"Whether I’m lying to you or not, wait until Edward cos out of the operating room and let him tell you himself." Ryan gently urged, "He just had a nosebleed, is receiving a blood transfusion, and hasn’t woken up. If you could co and see him, I’m sure he’d be happy to see you when he wakes up."
"..." Holding the phone, Daisy stood in place, her gaze fixed forward, without saying a word.
She felt like a bird trapped in a cage by Edward Stephens, no matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t escape his grasp.
