Ryan Smith withdrew his gaze, furrowed his brows slightly, walked to the doorway, and leaned against the wall, lighting a cigarette.

Coco noticed his somber expression and ca out to quietly ask, "Should I tell Miss Ginger the truth?"

Ryan glanced at her.

"She refuses to et with Edward," Coco whispered, "What if three days later, Miss Ginger really takes Erin and leaves?"

"Don’t make things more complicated for ," Ryan warned, his voice low and hoarse. "We’ll just bring her here to him. The rest, they need to sort out by themselves."

Coco pouted, muttering quietly, "They’re already like that, how will they sort it out? I think we might as well give them a little push."

Telling Daisy Ginger the truth?

Ryan pondered over the possible outcos.

The best scenario, of course, would be Daisy Ginger letting go of everything, and reconciling with Edward Stephens, a happy ending.

But he always felt that, given Daisy Ginger’s personality, the likelihood of her and Edward maintaining a lifelong estrangent was higher.

He warned Coco, "If Edward hasn’t said anything, don’t stir things up, understands?!"

"Oh."

Coco pouted slightly.

Daisy Ginger was brought to the residence Ryan ntioned.

It really seed like no one lived there often; the place lacked any sense of inhabitance, and all the furnishings were brand new. However, she couldn’t tell if it was just her imagination, but the decorations had a taste similar to hers.

The servants had already prepared lunch, but Daisy Ginger and Erin were too tired to eat. Mother and son went directly upstairs to take a nap.

This nap unexpectedly lasted until the afternoon.

When Daisy Ginger woke up, it was already dark.

Groggily, she reached out beside her, feeling nothing, and suddenly beca fully awake.

At so point, Erin had woken up and was nowhere to be seen.

In a foreign land, even though this was Ryan’s territory, Daisy couldn’t relax. She hurriedly got up to find him, when she suddenly heard the sound of running water from the bathroom.

Soone was in the bathroom showering.

Daisy paused for a mont, thinking it was Erin in there, instinctively opening the door: "Erin, are you taking a—"

But before she could finish her sentence, her voice was abruptly cut off, her eyes widening slightly.

The one in the shower was a slender, fair-skinned figure.

Slick, drenched long hair clung to snow-like white skin as warm water flowed over it. Daisy’s gaze unintentionally lingered on the flat chest before it unconsciously traveled downward—

"Ahhhhhhhh—!"

The sharp scream ca from inside the bathroom, not from Daisy, but from the person showering inside.

Daisy stumbled back a step, the visual shock perhaps too great, her legs a bit weak. She staggered back, slamming the bathroom door shut with a loud "bang."

Her heart pounded like a drum, her senses spooked.

She walked out of the room in a daze, wandering out into the hallway, still a bit disoriented and unable to gather her thoughts.

What had she just seen?

Was she still dreaming?

Daisy stumbled along the wall, her legs wobbly, and slowly slid down onto the floor.

Hearing the scream, Erin, who had crawled out from so nook, saw Daisy kneeling on the ground, her face pale and worried. His little face tensed as he rushed over to her at once.

"Mommy?!"

Daisy lifted her head to glance at Erin, then turned her gaze to the door from where soone had just erged.

Coco, wearing a bathrobe, walked out with her hair down, looking at Daisy with a hesitant expression.
