Daisy didn’t speak; she buried her face in the man’s warm chest. After a while, she said, "I won’t die. I’ve been lucky since I was a child, I could randomly guess the right answers on exams, and fortune tellers said I’d live a long life, not die young."
The man pinched her cheek.
The sentintal and suggestive atmosphere was completely dispelled by her words.
Edward Stephens released her, "Let’s go."
Daisy smiled, returned to the front passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and looked obedient and well-behaved.
Edward reached out and flicked her forehead lightly, "Do you really not need further treatnt for the wound?"
Daisy shook her head, "I already treated it, it’s fine, not deep."
Edward nodded, "Then let’s go ho."
Go ho.
Daisy turned her head to glance at him.
She wondered if Edward had noticed that he had already started to treat her small apartnt as ho.

Hospital.
Emma Magus had just finished her brain CT scan and, upon seeing the elderly man waiting at the door, almost burst into tears.
"Thomas!"
"Miss Magus."
Butler Thomas, polite and courteous, greeted her, stepped forward, and examined the bandage wrapped around her forehead.
"Are you alright?"
Actually, Emma wasn’t really in any serious condition—no concussion, just a wound on her forehead from Daisy hitting her, preventing her from seeing anyone for several days.
Yet, thinking about how, in front of everyone, Daisy had stepped on her, pulling her hair, leaving her with no dignity, she couldn’t tell how many people had witnessed the scene, perhaps it was even recorded on people’s phones and uploaded online, she was chilled to the bone.
So embarrassing!
She simply couldn’t imagine how she would face people when tomorrow ca!
Probably the entire entertainnt industry was now laughing at her, laughing at how she was beaten and had her hair pulled by a small-ti manager in front of everyone!
And the worst part was, Edward was protective of Daisy, and if she dared to lay a hand on Daisy, Edward would retaliate!
How frustrating!
Emma’s face shifted between pale and blue, remaining silent for a long ti to Thomas’s question. Her eyes were slightly red, it was unclear if from anger or if she was about to cry.
"Ah." Thomas sighed gently, seeming to show a bit of sympathy and compassion, he said softly, "The gentleman is already aware of your situation with Miss Ginger, and has asked to check on you. It’s great if you’re not too seriously injured."
Emma’s eyelashes trembled slightly, and she looked up at Thomas, "Does Brother Stephens worry about ?"
"The gentleman has always been concerned about you." Thomas lowered his eyes and said gently, "Because of the matter with the Second Young Master, the gentleman feels deeply guilty and hopes to make ands for the Second Young Master’s transgressions."
Emma shook her head, with a hint of resentnt in her voice, "It has nothing to do with Brother Edward, it’s that woman Daisy Ginger’s fault. Ever since she ca around Brother Edward, he’s turned into a different person—not just towards , but even towards Brother Stephens, he’s been very harsh..."
Lately, she’s been getting closer to Robert Stephens, and bit by bit, she’s heard about the rift between Edward and Robert because of Daisy Ginger.
She really hates Daisy Ginger—she’s never despised soone so much. Clearly already married, yet entangled with Edward, and causing a rift between the two brothers, between Robert and Edward, as family they are no longer as close as they once were; she vividly rembers when Edward used to speak of his brother with the utmost respect.
Thomas said nothing, just gave a gentle sigh and spoke softly to Emma Magus, "Miss Magus, it’s getting late, let take you ho."
