It’s night.
Elena Raven finished her last engagent, and as Daisy Ginger stepped out of the nanny van to pick her up, she saw a group of young boys and girls suddenly stand up in the crowd with a whoosh, bustling as they ran forward.
The night was already deep, yet the entrance of the television station where the show was recorded was still brightly lit. Young fans stayed up all night, holding flowers, to welco their favorite celebrity idols.
Elena Raven certainly didn’t receive such treatnt. She ca out through the staff passage, saw Daisy Ginger, and ran over with a smile, "Daisy, I’m here!"
Daisy Ginger draped a coat over her for warmth, looking complexly at the celebrity walking out from the television station entrance. There were too many people to tell if it was a man or a woman, but having that many fans waiting really made one envious!
"When will you give such face?"
Elena Raven stuck out her tongue, "Daisy, that’s Sister Kowalski."
"Her?" Daisy Ginger paused, unable to resist turning her head to look at the young woman erging with the crowd, holding flowers and under bodyguard protection.
Dressed in extravagant attire, with elaborate makeup and charming curls, who else could it be but Emma Magus?
"I only found out she was a special guest when recording the show." Elena Raven carefully whispered in her ear, "I checked on Weibo and found out her inner fans knew she was coming to the station to record. Today is her coback day, and they ca specially to welco her back."
Daisy Ginger didn’t really have any big emotional reaction.
Has Edward Stephens finally cald down?
She couldn’t help but wonder.
It’s been over a month, and he really held onto that grudge.
"Let’s get in the car." Daisy Ginger patted Elena Raven’s shoulder, "It’s half past one. We have a magazine submission tomorrow, let’s go early for the interview."
Elena Raven responded and got into the nanny van. As Daisy Ginger was about to withdraw her gaze, she felt a stare fall on her from afar. She turned slightly to glance and, sure enough, found Emma Magus lingering at the entrance, watching her.
Though the lights were bright, it was still night, and the light was dim, making the view unclear. Daisy Ginger couldn’t discern Emma Magus’s expression but could vaguely sense a trace of coldness.
Perhaps Emma thought she had whispered sothing to Edward Stephens, leading to her being blacklisted for so long.
Yet, when Emma left her for dead on the mountain before, Daisy Ginger felt that even if she had indeed asked Edward Stephens to do sothing to her, she wouldn’t consider herself in the wrong.
Besides, she hadn’t had a chance to do anything yet.
"Daisy?"
Elena Raven popped her head out from the car window and called out to her.
Daisy Ginger withdrew her gaze, sat down beside Elena, closed the car door, and told the driver, "Drive on."
Let her co back then, anyway, there won’t be any connection in the future.
After dropping Elena Raven off at her place, Daisy Ginger finally returned to her ho.
By the ti she returned to her apartnt, it was nearly 2 a.m. She took a shower and fell wearily onto the bed, glancing at her phone.
As expected, there was a ssage from Edward Stephens on WeChat.
One ssage asked when she got off work.
Then half an hour later, he sent another, "Why aren’t you replying to ?"
For so reason, Daisy Ginger detected a hint of grievance in those cold six words.
She stared at her phone for a while, couldn’t help but laugh out loud while lying in bed.
Thinking about one person softened her heart.
