Edward Stephens looked at the spoon brought to his lips, then glanced at Daisy Ginger.

Then, as if condescendingly, he opened his mouth and took a sip.

Daisy quickly scooped another spoonful for him.

In this manner, after about ten minutes of feeding, Edward had only finished half a bowl of porridge.

Daisy promptly poured out the dication for him.

"If you don’t get better from this cold, just go back to the city. It’s not like you’re a professional at this. Can’t you ask Ryan Smith to oversee things for you?"

The dicine was quite a lot, twelve pills in all, and Daisy put them in Edward’s hand, then poured him a glass of warm water.

Edward looked at the pills in his palm, and upon hearing her words, said coolly, "In such a rush to send away?"

Daisy lifted her head to look at him, and his gaze t hers, his dark eyes carrying a chill.

"I..."

"You don’t have to worry about clinging to you." He tossed the pills into the trash and stood up from the sofa.

Daisy instinctively stood up too, frowning slightly at Edward.

His face was extrely cold, and he seed sowhat aloof, "I’m going to get married too, there’s no way I would stay with you forever."

"..." She found herself suddenly speechless, just looking at him while gently biting her lip.

He seed to have nothing more to say to her and turned to walk toward his bedroom.

Daisy stood there, closing her eyes, warning herself to stop, not to get close to Edward anymore, yet her body subconsciously grabbed the bag of dicine and followed after him.

The man was about to lie down for a rest when he saw her co in, his pale face remained cold as he looked up at her.

Daisy gently pushed the dicine into his hand, "...No matter what, take the dicine first. Your health is important."

Edward sat there, unmoving.

She kept her head down, not daring to look at his face.

"I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. Edward, you’ll et a better girl, soone who likes you as much as you like her."

"What if I don’t?"

"You will definitely et her."

"Have you t him?" he asked coldly, "Do you like Jas Shelton?"

"I... do like him." Daisy admitted with difficulty, "It was love at first sight for us."

"If you like him, why are you with ?"

It ultimately ca to this.

What else could it be? It was irresistible, a lapse in judgnt.

"I was drunk." Daisy whispered, "I thought you were..."

"Are you trying to say you mistook for Jas Shelton?"

The excuse she had just thought of was ntioned by him first, Daisy was clearly taken aback, her dark eyes widening slightly, a bit flustered, and Edward scoffed at her: "Don’t talk nonsense, you knew it was ."

Daisy was speechless, her heart rate increasing, a baseless panic setting in.

"Now that I’m sick, you’re bringing dicine. Why do you care about ?"

Daisy was rendered speechless by his question.

If he kept asking, things would go wrong.

She gritted her teeth, shoved the plastic bag full of various cold dications into his hands, and turned to leave.

The next second, her waist was embraced from behind by the man.
