Daisy Ginger held her forehead, thinking about the storm to co in the next few days, feeling the urge to just not take this on—Royal Entertainnt wasn’t hers anyway, she could simply walk away to return a favor!
While Daisy Ginger was pondering how to make her escape, she returned to reality and saw Elena Raven squatting in front of her, looking at her with a pitiful and worried expression.
It wouldn’t matter if she left, but what about Elena? This girl, apart from her looks and acting skills, isn’t very smart. If left in the entertainnt world, she’d probably be devoured by the wolves within a few months.
After all, she had personally picked her out, planning to nurture her talent; abandoning her like this, Daisy couldn’t bear it.
Daisy gently touched Elena Raven’s face and sighed slowly, "Elena, if you ever make a na for yourself and dare to do bad things behind my back like Helen Hyde did, I won’t let you off."
Elena Raven looked at her, confused, "I won’t do bad things."
Daisy didn’t say anything, she just vigorously ruffled Elena’s hair, turning it into a bird’s nest.
This damn sense of responsibility!
After coaxing Elena away, Daisy mustered up the courage to call Ryan Smith.
On the other end, Ryan Smith answered quickly with a lazy "Hello," asking, "What’s up with you again?"
Daisy collapsed on the sofa, "Is Edward Stephens with you? I have sothing to tell him."
"He went back early, do you think he’s free?"
"Then give his phone number."
Ryan snorted: "Who do you think you are?"
His tone was unfriendly, but Daisy didn’t get angry.
"Who are you to him anyway? You’re not even his wife, why do you care so much about him? I haven’t offended you, with your sarcastic attitude. Acting like you’re secretly in love with Edward Stephens!"
Ryan: "......"
Sharp tongue, what did Edward Stephens see in her?
Taking a deep breath, Ryan said, "I don’t have his number, and even if I did, I wouldn’t give it to you."
Then he cut off her call!
Staring at the suddenly dark screen, Daisy was so furious she almost threw her phone!
That annoying redhead!
Daisy squatted on the sofa, glaring at her phone for a mont, then pursed her lips and typed in a string of numbers from mory.
Four years had passed, she had changed her number several tis, not knowing if Edward Stephens still used the sa one.
Although she hadn’t deliberately tried to rember, when the first number was pressed, that string of digits appeared clearly in her mind, as if in dreams, appearing countless tis...
Daisy took a deep breath, suppressing all the emotions rising within her. No matter what Edward Stephens ant, she had to contact him now.
If it was to retaliate against her, then let it be aid at her alone. Royal Entertainnt had so many artists, and everyone had made so many sacrifices to co this far. It couldn’t be that because of her, she’d ruin the careers of a company’s employees.
Bracing herself, Daisy pressed the dial button.
The phone rang "beep beep beep" three tis, and in those short three seconds, Daisy’s anxious heart nearly stopped.
The call was answered on the other end.
Yet no sound was heard.
Across the phone, Daisy knew Edward Stephens was there.
This thought, for so reason, made her break out in goosebumps, unable to tell if it was fear or excitent.
"Sir Edward," she stamred, "is that you?"
The man didn’t respond.
Just when Daisy thought he might hang up, his mild voice finally ca through.
"It’s . What’s the matter?"
