Daisy Ginger said nothing and forcefully twisted the doorknob.

Once, it didn’t open. Behind her, Charlotte Smith’s figure was already closing in. Her five fingers were like icy cold pincers, gripping the back of her neck. Daisy sensed danger and tried to break free, but the next second, it felt like her spine was being pricked with a needle, and she slid helplessly to the ground.

"You..."

Not knowing what had been pinched, Daisy only felt her vision dimming. Her whole body went limp as she struggled to look at Charlotte standing in front of her.

"Miss Ginger." Charlotte half-knelt down, reaching out to gently brush aside the stray hair covering Daisy’s eyes, looking down at her, "I’m sorry."

After this round of turmoil, the foundation on Charlotte’s face was nearly all gone, revealing a pale, bloodless face under the light.

Daisy breathed faintly a few tis, her limbs weak and unable to move.

No wonder Edward Stephens had warned her not to provoke Charlotte. This whole family were damn lunatics.

"What do you want to do?" She stared into Charlotte’s eyes, "Do you want to kill ?"

She was so ruthless, she practically wanted to paralyze her completely. She didn’t believe Robert Stephens had instructed her to do this.

That man wanted her out of the Stephens family but didn’t intend to kill her while she was still Edward’s wife.

"Miss Ginger, sorry." Charlotte lowered her head. Her voice was very soft, her tone even more hollow and emotionless than before. She whispered, "I have no choice but to do this."

From her tone, Daisy detected a certain danger. She widened her eyes slightly as she watched Charlotte’s hand reaching towards her. She wanted to dodge, but Charlotte caught her neck, pressing hard on the sa spot.

Her brain suddenly shut down, and Daisy’s pupils shrank violently for a mont, then gradually grew dim. Her body went limp, and she passed out on the floor.

After rendering Daisy unconscious, Charlotte squatted on the ground, letting her mind go blank for a mont.

After a while, she stood up again, lifted Daisy horizontally, opened the door, and carried her out of the room.

*

The corridor on the second floor of the hotel.

When Robert Stephens watched Charlotte walk over to Edward Stephens in the crowd and lead him upstairs, he withdrew his gaze indifferently and said to the person pushing him, "Let’s go."

The wealthy girl who slightly resembled Daisy was already in the room, and Daisy had already been confined.

The next things, Charlotte would handle well for him.

He didn’t need to worry anymore.

...

At the sa ti.

In the elevator.

"She doesn’t feel well?" Edward Stephens asked, frowning, "What happened?"

"I’m not quite sure." Charlotte lowered her head. Her voice was as light as before, "She asked to invite you over."

Edward glanced at her without a word, and when the elevator reached the twenty-ninth floor, he quickly walked towards their hotel suite.

Charlotte followed him, and they soon arrived at the door.

Edward unlocked it with a room card and pushed the door open.

The room was dark, and his retina couldn’t adjust to the dim light right away. Edward saw Daisy wearing a wedding dress, sitting on the bed with her back to him. He walked towards the bed, "Daisy, what’s wrong?"

Sitting on the bed, Daisy heard the voice, stood up, and suddenly sprayed sothing in his face.
