"She’s the only thing in this life that I want to hold in my hands forever," Edward Stephens turned his head, looking at Daisy Ginger lying on the hospital bed, his tone softened, "As long as she’s well, I’ll also listen to big brother."
Robert Stephens smiled blandly, his gaze also fell on Daisy, carrying a certain obscurity and unpredictability.
Agreeing to Edward’s request to bring Daisy back was naturally because he felt that as long as Edward obediently returned to him and brought Daisy back, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
He didn’t really take this woman seriously.
Edward grew up by his side, surrounded by socialites, well-mannered and cultured, perhaps it was the first ti he had encountered soone as fiery as Daisy, hence his montary infatuation.
Young affection always is, too impulsive and passionate, but it cos quickly and goes just as fast, fireworks fade easily, just like people.
He thought that leaving the two together, Edward’s impulsiveness would eventually calm down through their constant consumption of each other.
But now it seems, he thought too simply.
Not only is he not waking up, but he’s even sinking deeper.
How can the future CEO of the Stephens family indulge in such personal feelings?
Robert cast a faint glance at Daisy, that glance already carried a bit more malevolence.
She was unexpected in his plans. He thought that laying the truth in front of her, clearing the absurd relationship between them, could sever their ill-fated connection, but unexpectedly Edward persisted, making them more entangled now.
Perhaps, it’s ti to...
"Big brother." Edward’s voice suddenly sounded.
Robert looked up lightly at him.
"If you dare do anything to her, I won’t let you off."
These words were spoken casually, yet they resounded powerfully in the ears.
Rarely did the two brothers face each other, one gaze cold and sharp, the other smiling softly yet with hidden intensity.
After a mont, Robert chuckled lightly, "She is your wife, what could I possibly do to her..."
The next sentence, however, abruptly shifted.
"But, if I really want to do sothing, what can you do to stop ?"
This sentence once again pushed the oppressive atmosphere in the air to freezing point.
The entanglent between Edward and Daisy had already brought dissatisfaction to Robert.
His brother, grood by him, had always satisfied him greatly, but as he grew up, he beca increasingly disobedient, dared to open his own avenues right under his nose, and now dares to confront him for a woman.
But it’s only a woman, in his eyes, she’s as insignificant as a speck of dust, easily removed, just like casually wiping away a speck of dust...
Just like when he was bored, wanting to find sothing for Edward to do, casually asked Abigail Perry to push Daisy’s mother into the river.
Robert laughed lightly, "Have you forgotten how Alice Lesser died?"
"..." Edward was slightly stunned, a hint of ferocity appearing in his eyes.
"You probably already thought about it... but I still want to remind you - when I want to remove soone, sotis it doesn’t require to personally do it. Edward, if you behave, I naturally won’t harm your beloved toy, but if you don’t listen, I also don’t mind letting you switch toys." He looked at Daisy lying on the bed, "But I advise you, this woman isn’t worth investing too much thought in, if she dares to create embarrassing situations for the Stephens family again, I don’t mind letting you find a more obedient and ta one."
