Charlotte Smith responded instinctively, the compliance to this man’s orders was ingrained in her bones, and by the ti she realized it, she had already followed him out.

She belatedly thought, why is Robert Stephens going to the hospital?

Since Edward Stephens was willing to listen to him and take over the businesses assigned to him, Robert Stephens had turned a blind eye to the affairs of Edward and Daisy Ginger, no longer interfering.

Perhaps this ti, Daisy Ginger has really stirred up sothing big...

Even Robert Stephens couldn’t sit still.

Charlotte thought of this and took a gentle breath, feeling a slight unease.

When Robert Stephens arrived, Edward Stephens was smoking outside Daisy Ginger’s hospital room.

Although Daisy Ginger had been moved to a regular ward, she still showed no signs of waking up after an entire day.

Every hour, a nurse ca in to asure her blood pressure and heartbeat. The instrunts indicated that her body trics, although low, were still within the normal range, suggesting nothing serious was wrong.

Yet, for so reason, she refused to wake up.

After finishing a cigarette, he tossed the butt into the trash can. When he turned around, he saw Charlotte Smith pushing Robert Stephens around the corner.

Seeing them, he was slightly taken aback, then slowly composed his expression, silently watching as Robert Stephens approached him.

When Robert Stephens’s n reached out to push open Daisy Ginger’s hospital room door, Edward Stephens raised his hand, stopping their action.

He looked down at his brother, "She’s still unconscious, probably unsuited to see you. If you need sothing from her, why not speak to , Brother?"

His tone was neither warm nor cold, only his hand blocking the entrance, yet not gently.

Robert Stephens looked at his brother, a warm smile appearing on his handso face. His voice was magnetic and gentle, speaking softly, "With sothing this big happening in our family, as the Family Head, naturally I must co to see."

"She’s not in any danger now. If Brother has any questions, maybe it’s best to ask directly."

"..." Robert Stephens squinted his eyes, looking at his younger brother’s youthful face, seeing defiance and indifference in his eyes.

This younger brother of his had always been very respectful towards him from childhood to adulthood. Raising him personally, he was more like a guardian than a brother.

But now, respect was gone, leaving only this defense and stubbornness.

"I heard you contacted the traffic managent bureau yesterday?" Robert Stephens said flatly, "Blocked the airport and highways, wasting quite a bit of manpower and resources."

Edward Stephens interrupted him, "I spent my own money. If Brother is afraid I’m confused between business and personal matters, you can directly ask the group’s finance departnt for clarification."

"These days, you’ve been on leave." Robert Stephens said slowly, "I rember yesterday was your last day of leave. Today you should be at the company, Edward. When you ca back, how did you promise ?"

"..." Edward Stephens’s brow furrowed, looking at his brother’s gentle face, "I won’t let the Stephens family lose a single penny. The rest, you don’t need to worry about, isn’t that right?"

Robert Stephens glanced lightly at the tightly closed room door, saying softly, "...I never expected that our family’s cold and aloof second son would turn out to be a romantic. But Edward, are you investing too much emotion into her?"

"How did I teach you back then? I certainly didn’t teach you to make such blind investnts, engaging in this kind of unprofitable business."
