The gigantic European-style dining room, Edward Stephens led her to her seat.

The golden chairs and tables glimred opulently in the sunlight; a row of servants attended to them, bringing the food Edward Stephens had just requested.

Daisy Ginger sat in a small solid wood leather dining chair, watching as the servant respectfully filled her coffee cup with a sculpted silver transparent coffee pot, while Edward Stephens, accustod to the entourage, began his al. She sighed inwardly at the decadence and guilt of capitalism.

Daisy Ginger ate a bit of sandwich but didn’t have much appetite. She quickly set down her utensils, leaned against the chair, and tilted her head to gaze out the window.

After a year of marriage, this was the first ti the two of them ate in such silence.

After about ten minutes, Edward Stephens laid down his dinner knife.

He raised his eyes, his gaze landing on Daisy Ginger’s snow-white profile, and asked, "What are you thinking?"

"I want to return to Banyan City." Daisy Ginger turned her head to et his eyes.

The man wiped his fingertips with a napkin absent-mindedly and nodded, "Sure. I’ll go with you."

Daisy Ginger looked at his face, her gaze slightly trembling, then fell silent again. She just turned her eyes away to look out the window, no longer watching him.

Edward Stephens stood up from the dining chair, in white shirt and black pants, his tall figure elegant in the sunlight. "The weather is decent, I’ll take you out for a walk. We can also discuss the future."

Daisy Ginger lowered her head, looking at the delicate fingers reaching toward her, and ultimately did not take them, simply stood up coldly and walked with him out of the villa.

The winter in the United States is very cold, but here, for so unknown reason, it feels warm.

Sunlight poured onto the lawn, exuding a warm and cozy feeling. Daisy Ginger walked out of the villa alongside Edward Stephens, the sunlight cascading down bringing a touch of warmth to her chilly skin.

She wore only a thin dress, the wind caught it, lifting her hem and revealing her slender, fragile snow-white ankles.

The man glanced sideways at her tousled hair and pale complexion, draping the coat that hung on his arm over her thin shoulders.

Daisy Ginger trembled slightly, but before she could react, Edward Stephens spoke lightly: "Don’t hurry to take it off. We have so distance to walk, the wind ahead is strong, if you catch a cold, I’ll have to call the family doctor for you."

"..." Daisy Ginger paused in silence, stopping her movent to remove the coat. The oversized coat on her shoulders accentuated her petite, vulnerable appearance, "What are you planning to tell ?"

Such unfamiliar politeness.

The man’s thin lips curled slightly into a faint sardonic smile.

He looked ahead, "Our relationship isn’t sothing you can end just by saying it. Let’s not talk about emotions, but properties, stocks, funds... We have no prenuptial agreent, so you’ll have to split half of the company your mom left you with , right?"

"..." Daisy Ginger clenched her fist, unable to hold back as she raised her head to look at him, her voice hoarse, "I think Mr. Stephens’ family background shouldn’t lack those shares from the Gingers, should it?"

Edward Stephens replied, "What if I say I really do lack them?"

This is rather shaless.

A wealthy heir with assets in the billions, a top-tier rich second generation, actually set his sights on her little company worth less than a hundred billion in Banyan City.

Daisy Ginger clenched her fist, unable to resist as she spoke coldly, "According to what you’re saying, should half of your assets be shared with ?"
