Chapter 263: Had Enough?
Hagoromo Gengetsu blinked and, seeing that Naruto hadn't seized the mont to power up to Sage of Six Paths mode, lowered the black rod from his shoulder. He prepared to fight and eliminate the current nuisance.
Although he was wary of the Sage of Six Paths, there was no need to overly deify him. Even when alive, the Sage wasn't omniscient or omnipotent, let alone after death. In Gengetsu's judgnt, the Sage, now existing in chakra form in the ninja world, was largely unaware of current events, perhaps "sleeping" most of the ti.
As evidenced in the original story, the Sage only truly awakened when significant threats like the Ten Tails or Kaguya Otsutsuki, who were deeply connected to him, erged. As for the reincarnations of Asura and Indra, countless instances of battles and deaths, like those between Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, never saw the Sage's intervention.
Thus, until the Ten Tails reappeared, Gengetsu didn't need to worry about the Sage of Six Paths. Even killing Naruto, the reincarnation of Asura, was acceptable.
"Great Toad Sage! This ti we really need to step up!" Naruto, feeling stronger than ever and confident he could battle Gengetsu, assud a familiar hand seal.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
A vast cloud of white smoke erupted. Hundreds of Narutos clad in golden chakra cloaks appeared on the battlefield.
"Everyone, charge!"
With a rallying cry that shook the heavens, Naruto's clone army surged towards Gengetsu, raising a great cloud of dust. Gengetsu calmly observed the scene and nonchalantly ford a seal:
"Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Fla!"
Infused with senjutsu chakra, the massive sea of flas, ten tis more potent than usual, spewed from Gengetsu's mouth, sweeping forward. Before Naruto could react, the Great Toad Sage, positioned at the rear, spat a gigantic teor-like water sphere, which landed and spread outwards, neutralizing the flas.
Hissing steam rose as the water t the fire. The Great Toad Sage's water completely extinguished Gengetsu's fire.
"Well done, Great Toad Sage!"
With no obstacles left, Naruto's clone army, filled with renewed vigor, accelerated towards Gengetsu. Gengetsu glanced at the cautious Great Toad Sage, ready to support with ninjutsu, and summoned a Truth-Seeking Ball to form a massive fan, sweeping it horizontally.
Boom! Boom! Boom! The clones at the forefront were instantly dispelled.
"Don't get too cocky!"
Naruto's furious voice echoed as several clones, each wielding a Rasengan, charged at the fan. While non-six-path beings would be obliterated by the Truth-Seeking Ball, senjutsu techniques were immune.
With rare ingenuity, Naruto directed hundreds of senjutsu Rasengans at the fan. Although the Truth-Seeking Ball was impervious to senjutsu damage, the imnse impact force caused it to be repelled.
But that wasn't the end. Another group of Naruto clones extended nurous chakra arms, reaching out to grab Gengetsu. Gengetsu remained motionless as another Truth-Seeking Ball ford a protective sphere, blocking all the chakra arms.
"This is the mont!"
Naruto, assisted by two clones, raised a massive, swiftly spinning Rasenshuriken.
"Sage Art: Wind Style: Big Ball Rasenshuriken!"
After witnessing Gengetsu's Wind Style Rasenshuriken two years prior, Naruto had continuously researched and perfected this technique, culminating in its completion with the aid of sage training. With a piercing shriek, the enormous Rasenshuriken flew towards Gengetsu.
A blinding white flash.
Boom!!!
The deafening explosion rocked the area. Though the blast radius didn't match a Super Almighty Push or a Truth-Seeking Ball detonation, the destructive power was comparable.
Amidst the dust and debris of the forr Mount Myoboku, a Truth-Seeking Ball, destabilized by the massive impact, was propelled outward. This was the third Truth-Seeking Ball, previously unused.
"Just one left!"
Naruto, seeing the slightly offset and unstable Truth-Seeking Ball barrier around Gengetsu, prepared to press the attack with more shadow clones.
Ribbit! The Great Toad Sage suddenly jumped to the side, opening his mouth wide. From its depths, a trendous gravitational force erged, drawing in the surrounding debris into another dinsion.
In an instant, the Truth-Seeking Ball surrounding Gengetsu was also pulled away by the gravitational force, swiftly flying towards the Great Toad Sage. Learning from past mistakes, the Great Toad Sage kept his distance, then leaped away after pulling the ball.
"Well done, Great Toad Sage!"
Naruto didn't waste the Sage's help. So new clones ford chakra arms to prevent the Truth-Seeking Balls from returning to Gengetsu. The remaining clones, along with the original Naruto, seized the opportunity to charge at Gengetsu, aiming to take him down once and for all.
The leading clone soon spotted Gengetsu standing alone, holding only a black rod.
Excitedly, the clone sprinted forward, shouting encouragent:
"Gengetsu is out of Truth-Seeking Balls! Everyone, together..."
Boom! The clone felt a chill between his brows and vanished into white smoke.
A black rod retracted. Five strong fingers grasped it.
Gengetsu, the owner of the fingers, looked calmly at the advancing clone army and said softly:
"Had enough?"
