"What else can we do? There are no clues! And I don't know where that guy is hiding," Andy said in a slightly annoyed tone of voice. While talking, he also glanced at the woman with the colour-changing hair in the corner of his eye.

"Okay!"

The woman seed a little helpless, "I really hope you can catch him sooner!"

Andy turned to look at the woman and asked in return, "Do you really hope so?"

In fact, Andy already guessed who the woman was asking about.

Sirius Black!

At this ti of night, it seems that there is no one more worthy of discussion than Sirius.

I just don't know what this woman's mother had to do with Sirius, and why she was asking about Sirius.

"Of course!"

The woman's hair turned black, and her tone beca a little firr, "If it weren't for Scrimgeour's disapproval, I would even be willing to catch him myself!"

It's an Auror!

Rufus Scrimgeour, the current head of the Auror Office, is a sharp and tough guy, according to Kyle.

Scrimgeour did not agree to this woman's involvent in the capture of Sirius... That ans that this woman is related to Sirius, and is also a relative within three generations.

Andy knew who this woman might be.

Nymphadora Tonks, whose mother was a mber of the Black family, is Sirius's cousin.

Ding-

The lift door slowly opened.

"I will step out here," Andy said.

"The Departnt of Mysteries?"

Tonks gave Andy a curious look. "What are you doing here?"

"Visiting a friend," Andy said, and then walked out of the lift as if nothing had happened. He let out a sigh of relief when the lift door closed again.

Inside the lift, Tonks muttered, "Does this guy have a friend who works in the Departnt of Mysteries?"

Having said that, Tonks didn't really doubt Andy's identity.

The wizarding world had been at peace for twelve years, and although the Auror office had not been left idle, it had certainly beco a lot more laid-back. What's more, Tonks was a new Auror and had very little experience fighting dark wizards.

Without Voldemort leading the Death Eaters in their rebellion, ordinary dark wizards and criminals simply did not dare to provoke the Ministry of Magic.

Not to ntion infiltrating the Ministry in disguise, even if they saw an Auror, the criminals would imdiately scatter.

Tonks had never even considered the idea that soone would dare attack an Auror and use their identity to infiltrate the Ministry.

'Hm... a bit ordinary?' Andy looked around.

After stepping out of the lift, there was a simple corridor leading to an unadorned black door.

Andy opened the black door and walked into a round black room. The room was very large, and everything in it, including the ceiling and floor, was black.

So candles with blue flas were dotted on the wall, cold and flickering with a weak light.

There were twelve identical black doors in the room, spaced apart from each other, without markings or handles.

As the black door Andy entered slowly closed, the circular wall quickly rotated, then slowly stopped.

'To make it impossible to find the way out?'

Standing in the circular room, Andy was not panicked by this sudden change.

The Fiendfyre Curse could destroy this place.

The Apparition of the house elf could also lead Andy out of here safely.

Andy was well-prepared.

He casually walked up to a black door and pushed it open with his free hand.

It was a rectangular room, empty but very bright.

In the centre of the room, there was a huge glass tank filled with dark green liquid, big enough for Andy to swim in.

'What is this place?'

Andy noticed that so white things were swimming around in the glass tank. Upon closer inspection, he realised that those white things were actually human brains.

'This is the Brain Room?'

Andy's eyes twitched slightly, and he suddenly felt an excitent in his heart, as if he had finally t like-minded people.

There was no doubt that this room was evil.

In conventional thinking, only the most evil dark wizards in the magical world would experint on human brains.

I never thought that the Ministry of Magic would also be involved in such experints.

'Was the Ministry of Magic established to manage the magical world or to hide these secrets?' Andy suddenly had this doubt in his heart.

'Maybe... the predecessor of the Ministry of Magic was originally a small group of people who studied the mysteries of magic. They discovered secrets, studied them, and gradually grew the team.'

'But human desires and ambitions are sothing inherently born with us.'

'Their great power and the chaotic state of the wizarding world gave them a sense of responsibility to 'protect the wizarding world', and that's how the Ministry of Magic was established.'

'Is that so?'

These thoughts flashed through Andy's mind.

'Should I get so back?' Andy took a small crystal vial out of the pocket.

The composition of this dark green liquid was just the kind of thing that Snape could be asked to analyse.

As he approached the glass tank, Andy suddenly sensed a not-too-strong sense of crisis.

'Huh?'

Andy instantly raised his wand.

The room hadn't changed, but Andy felt sothing trying to burrow into his brain.

Andy imdiately operated Occluncy into its full effect.

'Are these brains attacking ?'

Having detected the source of the attack, Andy's heart trembled slightly.

'Whose brains are these? They can survive outside the human body and even attack!'

Andy used Occluncy to defend against the attack of the thought tentacles; while using his full concentration to try to peer into the mories of these brains through the thought tentacles.

This was a battle of the mind and will!

This was the first ti Andy had encountered such an attack, and he had never even seen it in a book before.

'Do these brains have mories? Can they still think?'

'If...if we can inject one wizard's ntal concepts such as thoughts, mories, and emotions into other wizards' brains, can we replace the other wizard and live in their bodies instead?'

'mory reincarnation?'

'But...after such a transformation, would you still be yourself?'

These thoughts flashed through Andy's mind.

Under the protection of the Occluncy, Andy had already perceived the way these brains attacked.

These brains had turned their own mories and thoughts into an invisible tentacle-like attack thod, constantly trying to invade Andy's brain.

Without the protection of the Occluncy, these thinking tentacles would have left a deep mark on Andy's brain.

It was a mark of thoughts and mories.
