[Ding! Mission complete. Reward acquired: Mind Healing.]
Mind Healing: A high-level wizarding technique capable of restoring another person's emotional and psychological state.
(Uses ntal energy, or consus Holy Father Value instead. The more severe the injury, the higher the cost.)
A perfect ability for soone playing the Holy Father.
But this also ant one thing:
Harry and Hermione must have already sent Norbert away.
Darren wondered whether Harry had repeated the mistake from the original tiline — forgetting the Invisibility Cloak on the tower — and was now getting caught by Filch.
anwhile, Malfoy was discovering a far harsher truth: by trying to snitch, he had basically delivered himself into detention.
And the worst kind — Filch's detention.
The last ti, Filch had forced him to scrub every toilet in Hogwarts. Malfoy had vomited three tis and barely survived.
Now he'd earned another round for himself.
And he was supposed to apologize to Darren?
For what?!
Darren actually felt a little sorry for him. Almost laughed.
But he kept his expression gentle as he looked up at Professor McGonagall.
"Professor, Malfoy didn't scare . I'm very brave. He doesn't need to apologize."

…Three?
Who was the extra??
Was Malfoy actually touched? No way.
Before Darren could think too much, a cold voice cut through the hall.
"Potter. Malfoy. Perhaps one of you would like to explain why you're wandering the corridors instead of sleeping?"
Snape.
Darren's posture imdiately folded in on itself, guilt flooding his face. His green eyes reddened pathetically.
"Oh, Severus, must you always be so harsh?" McGonagall scolded quietly. "You're frightening this child."
She patted Darren's shoulder comfortingly.
Snape didn't soften.
"If they don't face consequences, they don't learn. Malfoy — explain."
Malfoy straightened, suddenly confident.
Snape was his Head of House. Surely he'd be believed.
"Professor, Harry Potter brought a dragon to school! I ca to report him!"
Snape's expression didn't change.
"Yes. Speaking of our famous Harry Potter…"
His tone dripped sarcasm.
"Milerva, Filch asked to inform you that he just caught Harry Potter and a schoolgirl and delivered them to your office."
Darren stiffened.
Snape noticed imdiately. He could practically see the blood drain from Darren's cheeks.
"Darren…" McGonagall muttered.
It clicked for her.
Harry must have tricked Darren into coming here.
Of course.
Older Gryffindor brother influencing the younger one. A classic disaster.
"I should have known," she said sharply. "Darren would never do sothing like this unless soone pushed him into it."
She stord upstairs so fast that even the portraits jumped out of the way.
Harry and Hermione were already standing in the office, terrified.
When McGonagall entered, they nearly fainted.
And then they saw Darren behind her — pale, eyes shimring, looking like the world's saddest angel.
"Pr-Professor…" Darren stamred. "I—I was the one who let Harry out. And I lied to Malfoy. The dragon Hagrid was raising has nothing to do with my brother…"
His voice shook. Tears gathered in his lashes.

Six notifications.
Soone only gave ten — definitely Malfoy.
He was mouthing "Scarhead" at Harry with smug delight.
Are they sure they're not secretly in love?
Harry didn't even look at Draco.
His focus was entirely on Darren — who had just taken all the bla for him.
"Professor, it wasn't Darren—"
"Of course I know it wasn't Darren," McGonagall snapped.
Harry's heart plumted.
"I believe there are four children involved tonight—"
She didn't finish.
Because Filch pushed Neville through the door.
"Professor! I found this one sneaking around outside. Shifty look about him, if you ask ."
Neville stumbled forward, trembling too hard to speak.
"Don't—don't be scared…" Darren whispered.
He stepped between Filch and Neville, shielding him.
Even though he himself looked terrified, he still protected soone else.

More values poured in. A flood.
Darren nearly laughed out loud from how ridiculous it was becoming.
He quickly bowed his head to hide the grin.
McGonagall saw his trembling shoulders, his lowered face — and sothing soft and painful flickered in her eyes.
Then she glanced at Harry.
And suddenly she rembered Jas Potter.
The pranks.
The trouble.
The reckless bravery.
Dragging friends into danger.
Getting caught.
Smiling anyway.
Harry truly was Jas's son.
And tonight, she was absolutely going to make sure he understood the weight of what he'd done.
