Chapter 689: Chapter 664: Harry’s Pain and Pleasure_3
Unexpectedly, he felt Snape’s gaze was sowhat strange, seemingly different from usual.
However, Harry didn’t pay much attention to it. He glanced briefly and then quickly turned around, heading towards the Gryffindor table.
Snape paused for a mont, his expression sowhat surprised. He didn’t expect Harry to have actually learned Occluncy, even if it was just from a sieve to a fine sh, it was enough to fend off those chaotic ntal invasions.
And to achieve this in just a week was no small progress.
But the more this happened, the more uncomfortable Snape felt. He had taught Harry for so many days, yet there was no progress.
But with Kai, he imdiately took off, which indirectly said that he was inferior to Kai.
As a bona fide professor, losing in teaching to a sixth-year student was sothing Snape couldn’t quite accept.
While thinking about this, Snape suddenly noticed Dumbledore beside him gave him a glance and showed an affirming expression.
Clearly, he had also noticed Harry’s change and attributed this change to him.
This made Snape feel even worse... He didn’t want to bask in Kai’s fa, yet he couldn’t explain in front of other professors, especially Umbridge, and could only stew in his own frustration.
On the other side, as soon as Harry returned to the Gryffindor table and sat down, Hermione and Ron gathered around.
"Where have you been?"
"We looked for you for over half an hour, but everyone staying at the castle said they hadn’t seen you these days."
"I’ve been staying in the Room of Requirent," Harry said in a low voice, "You know, to learn Occluncy."
"How’s the progress?" Ron asked.
"Um... not bad," Harry said, "I think I’ve already learned it."
"You’ve learned it?" Hermione looked at Harry incredulously and exclaid, "So fast!"
"Fast? Harry wasted a whole holiday, isn’t it normal to learn a charm?" Ron said, not knowing what she ant, "Does that an Occluncy is really hard?"
"It’s really hard!" Hermione nodded solemnly, "Or rather, much harder than any spells we’ve encountered before, including the Segnted Transfiguration Technique and the Patronus Charm."
Actually, after returning to Hogwarts, Hermione tried to learn Occluncy too. She read a lot of related books, including "Adding a Door to Your Brain," "Control Your Thoughts," "mory and Thoughts," all recomnded by Mr. Weasley. She also consulted Bill and Tonks for several days.
But what can I say, until this morning at the train station, she had not learned this technique.
Bill said she had made a lot of progress compared to two weeks ago, but Hermione could tell he was just comforting her.
Hermione originally thought Harry would be about the sa, but never expected he had already learned it... This made her feel a sense of defeat.
"How did you learn it?" She asked urgently, "What thod did you use, can you tell ?"
Hearing Hermione ask this, Harry thought again of that six-legged Wampus Cat and its tail whipping with a whoosh, and shivered subconsciously.
"Believe , Hermione, don’t ask, you definitely wouldn’t like it."
Listening to Harry, Hermione beca even more defiant. She said, "As long as I can learn this technique, no matter how difficult it is, I can persevere."
Hermione was qualified to say this. When it ca to learning, she always had great perseverance. For example, in her third year, she hung in there to finish all twelve courses... Even at Hogwarts, only a handful of students could achieve this.
"It’s not a matter of difficulty..." Harry said.
Seeing Hermione’s face of disbelief, he hesitated for a mont, then rolled up his sleeve to reveal his arm, "You see for yourself."
Harry’s arm was covered in marks, blue and purple, as if soone had spilled paint all over him.
"Oh, rlin’s beard!"
"Oh, my!"
Seeing these, Hermione and Ron both exclaid almost simultaneously, instantly drawing the attention of those around them.
Harry quickly put down his sleeve, pretending to be nonchalant.
"Was it Snape who did this?"
But Hermione didn’t care about these, she said angrily, "This is outrageous, how could he hit you, it’s against school rules... no, against Wizard Law, I must tell the Headmaster!"
"Yeah, you’re right," Ron was equally angry, "He’s not qualified to be a professor like this!"
"Hey, calm down," Harry said in a low voice, "Although Snape’s actions were equally outrageous, this has nothing to do with him, it was Kai."
"Kai?" Hermione paused, then continued, "Even Kai shouldn’t hit you..."
"No, no... it wasn’t Kai hitting , it was the Wampus Cat." Before she finished, Harry interrupted her.
Now, Hermione was completely confused.
Involving Kai was already sowhat unbelievable, now how co a Wampus Cat was involved too?
If she rembered correctly, it was a rare Fantastic Beast, with only a few found in the entire United Kingdom, how could it possibly appear at Hogwarts?
Harry quickly explained the events of the past few days.
Hermione and Ron listened as if they were hearing a story of a Troll learning ballet, wide-eyed and amazed.
No matter how hard they imagined, they didn’t expect Kai had found a Wampus Cat to teach Harry... even he himself learned Occluncy this way.
"That’s how it is," Harry said, "As for these, they just look scary, they’re actually superficial injuries, even if you do nothing, they’ll be gone in a day or two, don’t worry."
"So you’ve been with the Wampus Cat the past few days?" Ron clicked his tongue and asked.
"A whole week," Harry said, his tone full of undisguisable bitterness.
"Speaking of which, the Wampus Cat’s eyes really seem to have Legilincy abilities."
Hermione nodded thoughtfully, "But when its eyes turn purple, the ability changes to Hypnosis, which is the most terrifying aspect of the Wampus Cat, because very few known Defense Magic can resist Hypnosis."
"Huh? The Wampus Cat can hypnotize too?" Harry scratched his head.
"You didn’t know?" Hermione asked.
"I didn’t know," Harry said, "The Wampus Cat I saw always had blue eyes."
"Didn’t you consider reading books?" Hermione looked a bit angry, "You should know, the Room of Requirent adds corresponding books based on your needs. That’s what we did during D??A etings.
"And what I just said is all from ’Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’."
"Co on, Hermione, I was being chased and hit all the ti, how could I have ti to read!" Harry couldn’t help but retort.
"Don’t you still have a few hours to sleep?" Hermione frowned, "Can’t you spare twenty minutes? It’s always better to learn more about your opponent."
"Twenty minutes?" Harry sighed, "You know, several tis I fell asleep right on the floor by the door."
"But..."
Hermione wanted to say sothing, but eventually shook her head, "Let’s take you to the Hospital Wing after the dinner, Madam Pomfrey should be able to make you recover quickly."
"No need," Harry refused decisively, "What I want most right now is to return to the dormitory and sleep well on a soft bed... As for these, based on my experience, they’ll disappear in two days and don’t need to be dealt with."
"But Hermione, if you’re not in a rush, I think it’s better not to learn Occluncy this way, it’s really painful."
This ti Hermione didn’t retort, because Harry’s crash course thod seed really unsuitable for her.
