Chapter 664: Chapter 656: Dumbledore’s Intuition, Phoenix in Hand (Double-Length)
Sirius’s injury seed deliberately concealed by the Ministry of Magic, and no one knew what happened that night; there was no report in the newspapers either.
The next day, Hogwarts was as lively as usual, everyone excitedly discussing the upcoming Christmas and holiday plans.
"What is the Ministry of Magic trying to do..." At the Hufflepuff table, Cedric put down the newspaper angrily and said, "Two people almost died, and they’re not weak adult wizards either. Is this their solution? Just leave it be?"
"Obviously... that’s exactly right." Kael spread orange jam on his bread, "That’s also why I’ve always wanted Professor Dumbledore to run for Minister of Magic, but unfortunately, he won’t be swayed no matter what."
"Yeah, it’d be great if Professor Dumbledore beca Minister." Cedric sighed.
Though he always believed Hogwarts couldn’t do without Dumbledore, the key was he was graduating next year... by then it would have nothing to do with him who the headmaster was.
So from the heart, he was also more inclined for Dumbledore to run for Minister of Magic.
"Alright, let’s change the topic." Kael shook his head, "Getting Dumbledore to be Minister is only possible if Voldemort becos headmaster of Hogwarts... What are your holiday plans?"
"Cho and I plan to visit Sirius at St Mungo’s." Cedric took a sip of pumpkin juice, "Then we’ll go to Diagon Alley; Fred and George have picked out a shop there, I’m planning to join them."
"Join Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes?" Kael asked curiously, "But didn’t you want to join a professional Quidditch team after graduation?"
"If I rember correctly, Moutohora Macaws recently sent you a trial invitation, right?"
"That’s right." Cedric said calmly, "But I can’t quite bring myself to leave the United Kingdom at this ti, joining a professional team is possible anyti, just not now.
"Just as well, the Weasley brothers need help, so it counts as finding sothing to do for myself."
"Are you sure?" Kael glanced at him, "That’s quite a good team, this opportunity is rare."
"But their current Seeker is also excellent." Cedric said indifferently, "Even if I passed the trials, I’d just be a substitute; holding off for a few years isn’t bad."
Cedric seed to have made up his mind and promptly changed the subject.
"Conna, what are your holiday plans?"
"Probably staying at school, since I wouldn’t have much to do going back." Conna said, "And I’m planning to try joining The Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers next year, so it’s a good opportunity to read so books related to magical potions."
"What about you, Kael?" Cedric continued to ask.
"I haven’t figured it out yet." Kael replied.
"Want to co with us to visit Sirius?" Cedric asked, then glanced at Conna, "But I feel like... you’d rather stay at school."
"That doesn’t conflict." Kael chuckled.
Even if he stayed at school, he could easily ask Dumbledore for a Portkey to No. 12 Grimmauld Place, and then head to St Mungo’s.
Or make it simpler, and just take the Knight Bus.
Choosing which thod would depend on whether Dumbledore was at school during the holidays, if possible, Kael preferred the convenient Portkey.
After all, the Knight Bus wasn’t exactly comfortable.
...
After breakfast, the group left the auditorium and headed to class.
First period for sixth-year students was Potion Class, and Kael and Conna arrived at the underground classroom on ti.
But curiously, Snape was late today... he only pushed open the underground classroom door with a sullen face twenty minutes into the lesson.
This was unprecedented.
And during the class, Snape was terrifyingly severe; no matter who made even the slightest mistake, even cutting a material too thick, he would rebuke them.
This led to everyone being silent, no one dared to speak more.
When the class ended, Snape didn’t linger for even a mont, he left the classroom before the bell had even finished ringing.
When Kael walked out, Snape was already nowhere to be seen in the hallway.
"What’s up with him." Kael turned to Conna and curiously asked, "Could it be he blew up a cauldron while brewing a magic potion?"
"I don’t know either." Conna shook her head, "But it definitely wasn’t what you said; Professor Snape’s magic potions have never failed."
"That’s weird." Kael mumbled, "Unless Professor Dumbledore asked him to care for Sirius at St Mungo’s during the Christmas holidays."
Kael couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of Snape doting on Sirius — that scene would be imnsely bizarre; if it were true, a major battle would surely break out at St Mungo’s.
But Kael didn’t pay much mind to this small incident.
After all, Snape being grumpy was normal; it would be strange if he ever looked genuinely happy.
But soon Kael realized, it wasn’t just Snape who seed off, Harry too.
After returning from St Mungo’s that day, Harry tried his best to act like nothing had happened to prevent Umbridge from suspecting anything.
Yet for so reason, he had suddenly beco silent, a few days later, his mood started turning irritable.
