Chapter 156: Chapter 154: Conspiracy and Preparations

At this point, the smiles on Fred and George’s faces disappeared instantly.

Fred covered his face and said, "Let’s not ntion this, and we’ll still be friends."

"Wood seems to have lent his brain to a troll." George shook his head and said gloomily, "He actually thinks our little brother Ron has the sa Quidditch talent as Charlie and wants to recruit him to the team."

"rlin, letting Ron be a Seeker..." Fred seed to think of sothing terrible and shivered, saying, "If that really happens, we might as well surrender directly. At least we won’t embarrass ourselves in front of everyone."

"Fortunately, Professor McGonagall didn’t agree."

"Even Harry Potter is more reliable than him."

...

Kael glanced at them thoughtfully... Could these two really have so prophetic talent?

"Let’s not talk about that." Fred stuffed a chicken leg into his mouth and mumbled, "We’re planning to explore on the fourth floor. Do you want to join us?"

Cedric frowned, "You don’t an the room at the corner of the fourth-floor corridor, do you?"

Fred blinked.

"Besides there, is there anywhere else worth exploring on the fourth floor?"

"But..." Cedric hesitated, "Didn’t Headmaster Dumbledore say we’re not allowed to go there?"

"Don’t be silly." George waved his finger with a look that said, ’You don’t understand anything.’

"Only forbidden places are worth exploring, just like no one would go wandering at night to the Transfiguration Classroom."

"There’s always the possibility of the Magic Potion Classroom."

"We went there in our first year..."

"Threw a couple of Dungbombs there..."

"Unfortunately, the sll was gone by the next day."

Kael’s eyes lit up, and he said thoughtfully, "Wandering at night to the Magic Potion Classroom, that’s a good idea."

"No, Kael." Fred shook his head and said, "We’ve already confird it’s not interesting at all."

"The fourth floor is still better." George said with a smile, "Headmaster Dumbledore was simply too great, giving us such a wonderful surprise on the first day of school."

"Have you decided if you want to co with us?" Fred asked again.

"But..."

Cedric was still a bit hesitant, "It’s dangerous there, aren’t you guys afraid..."

"You don’t understand Dumbledore well enough."

Fred said seriously, "If it were truly dangerous, he would never let us know about it."

"This..."

Seeing Cedric becoming hesitant, Fred and George exchanged glances and continued:

"Actually, before the first day of school, we’d already been there."

Fred lowered his voice and said, "There’s just one door there, not even a single portrait."

"I think it’s a test for us." George said persuasively, "As long as we pass the test, we can add a hundred points to our house."

"Maybe even better, get a Special Services to the School Award!"

Cedric was sowhat tempted. He thought the Weasley Brothers made a lot of sense.

The Forbidden Forest was guarded by Hagrid, not allowing young wizards to enter, but the equally dangerous fourth floor had nothing... it did seem a bit odd.

"Alright... I’ll join!" Cedric thought for a while and added, "But I’m going just to keep an eye on you, to prevent you from causing any big trouble."

"Oh, that’s the case..." Fred said solemnly, "Then we’ll trouble Mr. Digory."

Then they looked at Kael.

"Don’t look at ..." Kael blinked, neither agreeing nor refusing, but directly asked, "When do you plan to go?"

"Anyti, but before that, there are two problems we need to solve."

Fred said, "First, we’ve tried before, the Unlocking Charm can’t open that door... Kael, I rember you have a Universal Key, right?"

"Yeah." Kael nodded.

The Universal Key was sent along with the Invisibility Cloak, he just hadn’t used it much before.

"Then that should be no problem."

George continued, "That way, we just need to deal with Filch, as he’s been patrolling around the fourth floor at night for days. We need to think of a way to divert him."

"How about distracting him."

Cedric suggested, "Like throwing a few Dungbombs sowhere else before heading to the fourth floor."

"We thought about that too... but it won’t work."

Fred shook his head and said, "Doing that would only let us enter the room on the fourth floor, but not co out."

"If Filch is guarding the door, and there’s no other exit or secret passage in that room, we’ll be trapped inside."

"Filch can’t possibly guard there all night, can he?" Cedric said, sowhat dismissively.

"He really could." Fred and George said in unison.

They had been observing Filch with the Marauder’s Map over the past few nights, and no matter when they looked, his location was always on the fourth floor.

"What about getting soone else to help?" Cedric continued, "Set a ti, an hour or two, then use Dungbombs again to distract Filch."

"Are you sure... at that ti, they’ll definitely wake up?" Fred said gloomily.

Cedric was stunned, he couldn’t be sure.

And thinking about it, even if that person could wake up and did as agreed, if they didn’t ti it right, or got trapped by sothing and couldn’t get out in ti, it would be useless.

"Let’s check out Zonko’s Joke Shop."

At this mont, Kael suddenly said, "They should have sothing that can distract Filch anyti."

"Haha, you’re thinking the sa way as us."

After finishing dinner, Fred and George headed to Hogsade through the secret passage.

When they returned, they had a book familiar to everyone.

"Dark Power: Self-defense Guide?"

Cedric asked puzzled, "Why did you buy it?"

"This isn’t an ordinary book." Fred led them outside the castle, took out a quill, and said mysteriously, "Watch this."

With a snap, he broke the quill.

At the sa ti, the book began to shake violently, its pages flying everywhere and emitting a series of pops and crackles.

"Zonko’s latest prank product."

Fred said with a smile, "Designed for young wizards who don’t want to attend class, it perfectly matches our Skiving Snackbox plans."

"With this, we can create trouble for Filch anyti." George pulled out two identical books from his pocket.

"What’s the controllable range?" Kael asked.

"Not very far, but enough to lure Filch to another floor."
