Chapter 589: Chapter 167: Return to Diagon Alley!_4

"Do you know any information about the lead role?"

As long as we’re not talking about dominating the Wizarding World or overthrowing it, Ian felt that he still had plenty to discuss with this couple from the Greengrass family.

Except for Lupin.

Perhaps this dinner could be considered a successful gathering. Gossip always passes by faster than usual, and as the sky grew darker, Ian tily proposed the idea of saying goodbye.

"I have another appointnt to go to." Ian brought up the arrangent with Hermione Granger’s family. He was still telling the truth, though he didn’t ntion the appointnt was actually for tomorrow.

"Of course, no problem. It’s already great that you ca." Theodore Greengrass didn’t try to persuade him to stay, having achieved his purpose.

"These are already prepared ingredients, just cook them a bit when you get back, and you can eat them." Madam Armand Greengrass tily handed over a small box prepared by the House-Elf.

She also didn’t forget to reimburse Ian’s travel expenses. The money bag was obviously more than two hundred Galleons, and after the Little Wizard declined and confird when leaving the manor, it was indeed so.

"A full five hundred Galleons!"

Looking at the bulging money bag, Ian’s expression was utterly joyful. He thought it wouldn’t be a bad thing if Miss Daphne Greengrass beca his sixty-ninth friend.

No other reason.

Just because Miss Daphne Greengrass has such generous parents.

"How are you going back?"

Lupin didn’t have any sour feelings about it.

He just sighed.

Perhaps the previous conversation reminded him of his good friend, so this downtrodden werewolf seed a bit low in spirits, not even wanting to go and report it to Albus Dumbledore.

Perhaps.

Reporting wouldn’t help either.

He finally realized so things.

"Of course, I’m taking the Knight Bus directly to a hotel in Diagon Alley... Are you going back to the orphanage or to Hogwarts? I’m just going to buy a book. Surely, you won’t follow

there too?" Ian wasn’t unwilling to add another travel expense to Lupin’s tab; he just felt maybe Lupin needed so quiet space now.

"Dumbledore told

to stay by your side for the entire holiday..." Lupin looked up at the shining stars in the sky, sowhat wanting to go see the child his good friend left behind.

"Oh, the old headmaster is really sothing. Am I a kid in desperate need of protection?" Ian was helpless, and after walking to the previous drop-off spot, he counted the money for two bus tickets.

Then he raised his magic wand and summoned the Knight Bus.

"I think Dumbledore wants

to ensure the safety of others..." Lupin had already understood this, which is why he was more on edge.

Perhaps it would be simpler if Ian were just a Little Wizard needing protection, then he wouldn’t feel so increasingly overwheld like now.

Other pure-blood families co expressing loyalty, wanting to pledge allegiance and have Ian lead them to so grand cause; he’s just a werewolf, completely clueless on how to deal with it.

Could he stop it?

He couldn’t!

"Perhaps Dumbledore never intended for

to stop it, just wanted

to prevent this guy from being led astray?" Lupin mumbled with so uncertainty.

Just like what was said earlier.

He had quite a few revelations tonight.

"Pffft~"

"Clatter"

At this point.

The Knight Bus arrived as promised.

Ian got on first, followed closely by Lupin. Their figures, along with the Knight Bus, vanished from the grassland, and in the distance, the couple who had been watching from the manor’s gate finally withdrew their gaze.

"Will he really be the hope?"

Madam Armand Greengrass looked at her husband with so uncertainty.

"He definitely will be."

Theodore Greengrass’s response was very firm.

"But he looks so young, too... I don’t know how to put it, peculiar character?" Madam Armand Greengrass seed less certain than she had been earlier.

Her tone carried so complexity; perhaps the Little Wizard’s self-deprecating behavior had indeed worked, making Ian seem a bit too jumpy in the eyes of the manor’s lady.

"The things he said, like mixing concrete with spaghetti, and inviting us for stir-fried asparagus and dragon fruit, pickled pepper mangoes, it all felt quite nonsensical to ."

Madam Armand Greengrass’s reaction was exactly what Ian hoped to see.

However.

The Little Wizard’s plan was quite clever.

But so things were beyond his expectations.

"My dear, you shouldn’t just look at things on the surface." Theodore Greengrass displayed a wise gaze, softly speaking as he looked towards where Ian had disappeared.

"The one who must not be nad also did similar things before, or rather, all those in high positions liked to point at sothing unreasonable and claim it reasonable."

"It’s a loyalty test, seeing if we would agree with his flawed perspective... Didn’t you see that after I chose to agree, this child selected by Dumbledore gave

a satisfied thumbs up."

"He is already exercising the rights of a leader, even if he doesn’t see it that way. But it precisely shows that Daphne’s classmate might naturally possess the qualities of a leader."
