Chapter 558: Chapter 161: Return to Diagon Alley, Knockturn Panic_6

That’s exactly why.

When Bogin Bock saw the shop keys hanging from Ian’s waist—keys that should belong to a dozen Pure-blood Clan shops—he imdiately connected them to the recent big events.

"Sorry, I really underestimated you. I should be the one apologizing to you." He put on his pince-nez glasses and said very sincerely.

"Huh?"

Lupin’s brain almost froze.

The Bogin Bock he knows is absolutely not this easy to talk to.

To Dark Wizards, Bogin Bock is soone to be wary of. You can tell this guy must be a real badass—anyone who can run a Knockturn Alley shop for so many years isn’t surviving off his good reputation.

"Even your attitude is throwing

for a loop..." Ian, feeling Lupin’s confused and suspicious gaze, looked at Bogin Bock with an odd expression. He genuinely hadn’t expected Bogin Bock to flip his attitude like this; the Dragon King villain act he’d prepared couldn’t even be played out.

"Any smart person, after learning what you’ve done, would keep enough humility in front of you..." Bogin Bock even gave a slight bow.

"What did you do?"

Lupin couldn’t help but whisper.

"I’d also like to know what I did, to make him even feel a trace of fear toward ." Ian’s eye twitched; he’d already noticed Bogin Bock’s obvious emotion.

"I know how to pick a side, so you don’t need to disguise yourself in front of . Anyone with eyes can see what you’re up to... Or maybe you just don’t trust your... werewolf bodyguard?" Bogin Bock spoke slowly, his gaze was sharp—he actually saw through Lupin’s identity at a glance.

Of course.

It’s also possible Lupin’s previous Wolf Poison Potion purchases were distributed from his shop.

"I am NOT a bodyguard! What fucking eye makes you see

as a bodyguard?" Having been outed, Lupin was a bit flustered, but still instinctively retorted.

"That’s right, Mr. Lupin isn’t a bodyguard—he’s my nanny." Ian spoke up for Lupin, though in Lupin’s mind, he’d rather Ian said nothing at all.

"..."

The desperate werewolf wanted to argue.

But.

Thinking about Dumbledore’s thorough instructions—

He suddenly realized.

He actually does kinda look like a nanny sent over to keep an eye on the Little Wizard.

"Oh, even your own lackey isn’t trusted enough? You haven’t told him your plan yet?" Bogin Bock’s tone had a hint of surprise.

He had no clue what kind of misunderstanding he was making.

"I feel like your word choices and the way you think... Are kind of weird. Maybe you know sothing about

that even I don’t know?"

Ian put down the eyeball in his hand.

He absolutely didn’t believe his secret plans to build a money-printing machine had been found out.

"If you don’t want to blow your cover, I won’t say a word... If you like the eyeball, I actually have another one. I’ll just give you both."

As he spoke—

Bogin Bock took out a box and handed it humbly to Ian. Even though he was still confused, Ian wasn’t about to turn down a freebie.

"Thanks."

He even showed a little politeness.

And just as Ian got the eyeball, while Lupin was still dumbfounded, he grabbed the desperate werewolf and dashed out, terrified Bogin Bock would suddenly change his mind.

"I hope next ti we et, you’ll choose to accept a fence-sitter like ... The destined great Ian Grindelwald Dumbledore Ambrosius Prince, sir."

The rasping shout ca softly from behind, courtesy of Bogin Bock.

But every word hit ho.

"I KNEW it! Those bastards went ho and started spreading rumors!" Ian was so pissed his hair almost stood up, and his magic wand even began to glow faintly with emotion.

"He called you what!?"

Lupin’s footsteps stopped at the doorway.

His body went rigid.

He chanically turned his neck to look at the Little Wizard.

Inside, a tidal wave surged.

[ps: Pulled an all-nighter last night, failed, overslept—count it yourselves, I’ll start double updates to make up for it the day after tomorrow]
