Chapter 551: Chapter 160: Daily Life and Compensation (Part 3)

...

The daily life in the orphanage is always so peaceful and harmonious, with a kind of comforting tranquility. After playing with the kids for a while, Ian returned to his room.

Dinner was as usual, satisfying but not particularly innovative. Everyone ate happily, and although Ian felt a bit disappointed, he also enjoyed it thoroughly.

Even though he’s not at Hogwarts anymore, during the after-dinner rest ti, Ian still has another kind of small class—teaching his younger siblings so basic words and knowledge has always been his task.

Of course.

Lady Yelena would also teach the little ones when Ian wasn’t around, along with the other adults in the orphanage, but their classes weren’t as popular with the kids as Ian’s.

"Whoever can write down ten words learned today can listen to my ’Biohazard’ story tonight!" Ian always managed to spark the children’s interest in learning through storytelling.

Of course.

In contrast to the cheerful children, Lupin, who was just about to lock himself in his room, felt a mix of emotions upon hearing the Little Wizard’s words.

He didn’t know what ’Biohazard’ was, but he knew stories with such nas probably weren’t suitable for children, perhaps just another version of the sewer monster tale.

While guessing this, Lupin eavesdropped from outside for a while. Then, he finally realized who had been telling so of the scary stories he heard from the kids when Ian wasn’t around—even though he thought Ian’s stories were not suitable for children, Lupin was still engrossed in listening from outside.

For a mont.

He almost forgot his habit of locking himself up at a certain ti.

"And just like that, Ian, forced to beco a mutated test subject, successfully overthrew the evil Umbrella Corporation along with the vengeful Goddess Alice as they chose to clear the mutated monsters across the world."

"Though it seed everything was gradually returning to normal, in pursuit of hunting a strange Licker, they fell into a Licker’s den, starting the tale of Ian and his partner Alice wandering through the wonderland."

"To know what happens next, please shell 2 pounds of sunflower seeds for

tomorrow night." Ian naturally couldn’t just recite stories by rote; he was always good at weaving his own ideas into them.

And so.

In eager anticipation of hearing another lively and exciting story the next night, the children all eagerly promised, and Ian cleverly took out a big bag of sunflower seeds.

"No using your mouths to crack them!"

He reminded all the children one by one at bedti.

As night fell.

The orphanage gradually quieted down.

Only a few occasional dog barks from the distance broke the silence. A large black dog lay under a tree not far from the orphanage, issuing warnings to other stray dogs with ulterior motives.

Faced with these rather English-like stray dogs.

The black dog’s barks were filled with trepidation.

As previously ntioned, although under the inertia of fate, Voldemort’s remnant soul was ultimately defeated by the magic of love, so events influenced by the butterfly effect had already deviated.

...

Days continued to pass.

Life was still full of energy and vitality.

A new day.

A new beginning.

Yet another Mysterious Night without successfully stepping into the Misty Illusion Realm, Ian rose early with a bit of a downcast mood, as he once again considered pulling out the Black-robed Skeleton from the small suitcase for a beating.

However.

The Black-robed Skeleton seed to have anticipated it as well. Just as Ian unzipped the small suitcase, one of its pale bony hands would imdiately reach out to grab the zipper and seal the suitcase again.

He opened it.

It closed.

He opened it again.

It closed again.

This tug-of-war continued until breakfast, when it ended with Ian being called away by Catherine knocking on the door—grumbling under his breath, Ian had no idea that shortly after his departure, the Black-robed Skeleton unzipped itself, peeked around cautiously, then crept out and crawled under Ian’s bed.

No one knows if it’s planning to jump out and scare the Little Wizard tonight. Regardless, when a fed and satisfied Ian returned, he didn’t notice anything odd about under his bed or with the small suitcase.

"How much longer until I return to the Misty Illusion Realm?" a rather dejected Ian asked, sitting at his desk, surrounded by a chaotic pile of parts.

As the Little Wizard sighed and assembled.

"Knock knock knock~"

A knock ca from outside the door.

"Co in."

Without turning around, Ian could tell who the visitor was from the footsteps and the perceived "emotional entity"—it was the scruffy, drifter-looking werewolf, Lupin.

"Have you finally changed your mind?"

Ian raised an eyebrow, turning to look at Lupin.

"No, I absolutely won’t drink any liquid you offer, nor eat any food you hand over." Lupin remained his usual cautious and highly defensive self.

Considering that after breakfast, he would rather spend a fortune going to Diagon Alley to buy the Wolf Poison Potion rather than let the Little Wizard make it for him, it was clear he was truly concerned that Ian might use him as an experintal specin for the sewer monster.

"How about just a vial of blood?"

Ian persisted relentlessly.

Lupin pretended not to hear.

"What are you doing?"

He shifted his gaze to Ian’s desk, bluntly changing the subject.
