Chapter 498: Chapter 152: The Weight of the Crown, and Its Overthrow! (Part 3)
"Of course, I wouldn’t doubt a Prince’s talent in magic potions." Newt Scamander seed hesitant again, wondering if his sixth sense as a "Druid" was truly strong.
Newt Scamander couldn’t shake the feeling that sothing was off, his eyelids twitching uncontrollably.
"Actually, the Iron-eating Beast will do. I also like keeping Iron-eating Beasts." Ian didn’t see any records of this Eastern beast in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
However, he discovered in other books about fantastic beasts that in today’s world, Iron-eating Beasts are classified within the Level 4X range of fantastic beasts.
"Iron-eating Beast?"
Newt Scamander’s expression beca even stranger, displaying an awkward "You are putting
in a tough spot" look.
"Haven’t you seen one either?"
Ian asked curiously.
"Of course I’ve seen one, definitely. I rember, decades ago I visited China and observed this fantastic beast, almost listed as a Level 5X dangerous creature, up close."
Newt Scamander’s gaze beca evasive once again.
Just as Ian thought Newt Scamander might be feeling guilty, the master of fantastic beasts imdiately began to enlighten Ian about the knowledge of the Iron-eating Beast.
"Iron-eating Beasts naturally possess enchanting magic that causes people to subconsciously overlook their danger, and they have intelligence far beyond most fantastic beasts."
"Were it not for the fact that they generally don’t attack humans and other creatures when not hungry, I think they would be in the sa danger tier as the Snake Monster and Fire Dragon."
"Of course, when provoked, they showcase their absolute power. I once saw an adult Siberian Tiger’s skull crushed by their paw."
"Their fur gives them incredible magic resistance, and in terms of strength, perhaps only the Chinese Fireball Dragon can contend with them on that land."
Needless to say,
Newt Scamander truly seed to have detailed knowledge of Iron-eating Beasts, and the enchanting magic ntioned earlier was sothing Ian learned for the first ti, making him widen his eyes.
Upon reflection,
Perhaps it’s true.
However, Newt Scamander’s sowhat guilty gaze puzzled him greatly. Just as Ian was about to inquire, Tina explained to him the reason behind Scamander’s guilt.
"I knew you hadn’t given up on Iron-eating Beasts. If I hadn’t gone there to bail you out, you’d have been sentenced for decades because of smuggling endangered species!"
"Trying to snatch up an endangered fantastic beast valued by both the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds from the preserve, I still don’t know what was going through your mind at the ti!" Tina’s tone carried a hint of resentnt as she rolled her eyes, recounting Newt Scamander’s embarrassing past.
Newt Scamander’s face turned crimson.
"I said they have enchanting magic! I’ve been chard! Plus! They are really cunning! I was caught because they secretly reported
to the Muggles and Wizards!" Newt Scamander’s words were so ridiculous that even Ian, an eleven-year-old little wizard, found them hard to believe.
"Are you saying that the Iron-eating Beasts, who can’t speak or write, reported you without any communication devices?" Tina coldly laughed, issuing a soul-searching question.
"That’s right, exactly right. If you let
go back again, I’ll figure out how they did it." Newt Scamander looked very unwilling.
"We don’t have the money to bail you out this ti! I’ve paid for bail in over sixty countries for you!" Tina glared at Newt Scamander fiercely.
"No worries, I still have plenty of money here. I also want to see if Iron-eating Beasts really have enchanting magic." Queenie watched gleefully, stirring the pot.
She was clearly trying to provoke her sister and brother-in-law, perhaps all little sisters-in-law are like this.
"It’s not just Iron-eating Beasts. Because I was taken, I couldn’t figure out why the Fire Dragons active around the Yangtze River are getting fatter one by one."
Newt Scamander clearly had this matter weighing on his mind for a long ti.
"Absolutely, not allowed, to go."
Tina’s attitude was exceptionally firm.
Newt Scamander could only let out a heavy sigh.
He turned back to the little wizard.
Seeing Ian still with a suspicious expression, he seriously said to the little wizard, "Believe , Iron-eating Beasts are definitely smarter than most wizards think."
"They’ve crafted themselves as Level 1 protected animals in the Muggle World, critically endangered species in the Wizarding World, living comfortably and freely under this identity."
"This is all part of the Iron-eating Beasts’ sche..." Newt Scamander might really be a bit senile, or perhaps he indeed discovered so shocking mysteries among fantastic beasts.
It’s hard to say, really hard to say. In any case, Ian found it difficult to judge.
"Forget it, let’s talk about Thunderbirds instead." Ian felt he couldn’t beco the reason for Newt Scamander ending up in prison, sewing machines.
Perhaps at Scamander’s age, he wouldn’t need to work, but he would undoubtedly endure the ordeal of bland prison als; it’s not like ho where money could buy a sumptuous feast.
