Chapter 317: Chapter 121: Three Great Shows! The Wrong Secret Chamber!
"Reveal yourself imdiately."
Snape suddenly raised his magic wand in the direction where Ian was hiding and cast a magic spell. Instantly, Ian, who was under the Illusionary Body Spell, exposed his little dark feet.
In the blink of an eye, his entire body appeared in Snape’s line of sight.
"Huh?"
Ian looked baffled.
"Seems like you’re deliberately reminding ; I should enforce your detention punishnt." Snape gritted his teeth and grabbed Ian’s collar with a swift motion.
"How did you know I was there! I used the Illusionary Body Spell!" Ian was speechless. It was understandable that Dumbledore could sense him, but how could he not hide from Snape?
Was this still an Illusionary Body Spell?
It might as well be called the Full-of-Flaws Spell!
"At least Quirrell and the soul on him didn’t discover you." Snape apparently had known about Quirrell’s secret, but he chose not to expose it earlier.
"So, you can see through the Illusionary Body Spell?"
Ian cared only about this.
"No."
Snape replied concisely.
"I figured you wouldn’t stay out of trouble this afternoon, so I sprayed so potion on you earlier. And sure enough, you tried to ddle in matters you shouldn’t be involved with again."
Snape watched Ian sniffing around, even raising his arm to sll his armpits, causing Snape’s eyelid to twitch. "Stop looking; if it were easy for you to sll, I wouldn’t use it on a sly little thing like you. Do you think I’m one of those foolish pharmacists at Saint Mangos Magic Injury Hospital?"
Who knows why he had to diss those innocent folks at the magic hospital.
"How long will it last?" Ian got no response from Snape and realized he was being dragged towards the storeroom, giving him a bad feeling.
"You wouldn’t really make
clean the toilets now, would you?"
Ian tried to use his pitiable deanor to earn Snape’s sympathy, but the Slytherin headmaster showed him what true indifference looked like.
"That’s the punishnt you’ve never completed."
Snape directly found a set of janitor’s clothing in the storeroom and dressed Ian in it, like dressing a doll, and then shoved a mop and plunger into his hands.
"It’s sleeping ti! You won’t grow tall if you don’t sleep!" Ian was still hoping to avoid cleaning the toilet, but discovered Snape had imdiately cast a spell on his magic wand.
"You’ve blocked my wand’s casting ability?"
Ian’s eyes widened. "Quirrell will catch and kill ! You know how much he hates ! He and the guy on his backside will turn
into little wizard jerky!"
His words caught Snape slightly off guard.
"On his backside..."
This might be sothing Snape hadn’t discovered.
"Casting spells is a right every wizard should enjoy! You can’t deprive
of my rights! I need to find Dumbledore!" Ian’s shouting imdiately made Snape’s eyelid twitch wildly.
"You uneducated fool, can’t you learn sothing other than the Dark Arts? I’ve only cast a little trick on your magic wand to perceive if you’re casting spells!" Snape genuinely thought Ian was a bit biased; able to make Fiery Fire so terrifying yet lacked understanding of this fourth-year knowledge.
"Alright..."
Ian’s voice weakened, though he was still rather discontent. He had chased Voldemort all around the Forbidden Forest this afternoon, yet now he was a re Hogwarts cleaner.
"I’ve done great things for Hogwarts, I’ve... almost shed blood for Hogwarts." His rebuttal, clearly, did not gain Snape’s approval.
"By morning, I want all toilets spotless, or I’ll severely punish your friends." Snape believed he found Ian’s weakness.
However.
"Not punishing ? That’s great news!"
Ian joyfully threw away the tools he held.
"??????"
This ti it was Snape’s turn to be stunned; he thought he understood Ian fairly well, yet Ian’s reaction was worlds apart from what he’d imagined.
Watching Ian preparing to sprint away.
"You still have money with , which I’m supposed to send back to your shabby orphanage during Christmas." Snape, quick on his feet, finally made Ian stop.
"You’ve got !"
Ian grumbled as he picked up the tools. He began cleaning the toilets under Snape’s supervision, though it wasn’t dirty, as little wizards sotis used a Scouring Charm before using the toilet.
It’s mainly mopping the floors and cleaning those sinks and faucets that was especially troubleso, given the hard water quality in the United Kingdom; so less frequently used toilets accumulated a lot of gray-white sedint.
If magic were allowed, a simple wave could solve it, but Ian was finally experiencing the frustrations of being unable to use magic, cleaning two toilets under Snape’s supervision.
"Speed up."
Snape perhaps thought Ian had resigned to his fate; he left to sleep once Ian was cleaning the second-floor restroom, where Ian indeed was dutifully cleaning a broken toilet.
Commonly used toilets didn’t need much cleaning; it was these broken ones that were the real hassle, especially when there was a ghost inside.
"It’s a boy! This is the girls’ bathroom!" The crying Myrtle was startled by Ian’s cleaning noise; she floated out from the stall and scread in sha.
