Chapter 282: Chapter 115: Ultimate Face-Off! Screams in the Underground Passage! (Part 4)

False happiness is also happiness.

Ian let the Dentor experience in his mind the scene of simultaneously absorbing the souls of hundreds of wizards - after jumping up and down in the cage for a mont, the Dentor happily lay down and rolled over.

"This is called kindness!" Ian ran up and plucked a few handfuls of tattered hair-like strips, the Dentor was imrsed in happiness and unmoved, he just thought the other party had already been converted by him, accepting his actions.

A whole morning.

Ian was imrsed in the process of studying materials for the Invisibility Cloak. When he felt hungry again, he walked out of the Room of Requirent and saw the bright weather outside the window.

"Just right, I still need Phantom Silk and Ghost Ash Stone Powder." Ian planned to use normal wizard alchemy techniques to forge the woven Dentor’s towel into an Invisible Towel. Of course, the complete manufacturing process for an Invisibility Cloak is a secret, and Ian does not possess full knowledge related to this monopoly industry.

But this doesn’t stop him from thinking and pondering.

Alchemy creations are things created from nothing by people, since they are things others can create, Ian wonders why he can’t co up with a similar forging process himself? All he needs is a temporary finished product with invisibility effects.

If this "fur" of the Dentor could indeed replace the skin of the Invisibility Beast, then it should be possible to make alchemical works with invisibility effects.

Even if the invisibility effect is very poor, it would still count as a verified result. If a seemingly simple Invisibility Cloak can succeed, he would have more confidence in replicating the Resurrection Stone’s effects.

"I should still give it a try; if it doesn’t succeed, it’s just a failure. My Skill Level is rising, nothing lost." Ian looked out the castle window at the earth outside.

The rain had already stopped.

Little Wizards began breathing fresh air outside, and there was a group eagerly training for Quidditch, shivering from the cold but still enthusiastic about dying on their Flying Brooms.

"Hagrid definitely won’t allow

into the Forbidden Forest, I need to find a secret passage leading directly to the Forbidden Forest." Ian took out his Living Map to carefully check over it.

In the entire castle, there are countless hidden passages, so of which even Dumbledore might not know about, and he quickly found a corridor in the basent layer of Hogwarts.

It’s a product of a dangerous background from the Middle Ages.

A secret passage that never sees sunlight all year round, almost never used during regular tis, but in ergencies, students and teachers can use this corridor to quickly leave the school without being detected by enemies.

"Just right for going to the Forbidden Forest!" Ian imdiately jogged towards the stairs leading to the basent, although it ultimately took him more than ten minutes to reach the destination.

It wasn’t Ian’s short legs, nor the long journey, but today he was perhaps a bit unlucky, encountering a boring wait for the staircase to change in mid-course.

The stairs continued to creak slowly like an old machine, Ian could only wait for them to recombine and stop before continuing down.

This was Ian’s first experience being "held up" in mid-air.

"ow~"

Unlucky experiences didn’t stop at one, Ian had just bypassed Snape’s office and walked into a rarely visited area when he saw the administrator’s slly cat pounce from the corner.

It held a grudge against Ian after Ian once used "Fear Descending" on it, always wanting to sneak attack Ian’s shoes, though it never succeeded.

Seeing Ian reach for his magic wand,

The clever cat imdiately escaped, running as fast as lightning, quickly disappearing from Ian’s sight, its speed making Ian feel it had the bloodline of a cheetah.

"That damn cat will surely go complain to the administrator!" Ian wasn’t planning to play hide and seek with Filch, he directly found the entrance and squeezed in.

This was a passage not too crowded or narrow, though the slope was sowhat steep, surrounded by darkness, Ian raised his magic wand and lit his Lighting Spell.

"Fluorescent Flickering!"

The Lighting Spell illuminated the entire corridor, Ian saw several rats scurrying madly, and there were so damp stains on the ground made of hard soil.

Those stains were from droplets constantly dripping from above, who knows if it’s from old pipes falling into disrepair, Ian almost didn’t manage to dodge the disgusting encounter of unknown liquid sliding onto his face.

"Could it be Snape’s urine?"

Ian thought there shouldn’t be many people urinating in the basent toilet, and he didn’t know the anti-rain spell, so he could only conjure an umbrella to protect his hair and skin.

With many knocking stones on the ground and so rotten bones of unknown creatures, Ian walked very slowly, knowing full well that a trip in such a place would disgust him for half a year.

Due to lack of cleaning and maintenance for many years, the air was filled with a rotten, disgusting sll, compelling Ian to cast a Bubble Head Charm on himself.

This is a magic for diving.

It creates a protective bubble around the caster’s head, allowing normal breathing and activity underwater for a long period, using it to block unpleasant slls is very adaptable.

"The school trustees must have embezzled the maintenance funds!"

Ian marched onward through the winding passage toward outside the school, after more than an hour the passage began to slope upwards, indicating he was nearing the Forbidden Forest’s area.

The Living Map had lost its "network connection" and went silent. Just when Ian considered if he should call the Little Elves to co clean this secret passage when available.

"Hiss hiss hiss~"

As the passage twisted.

Ian had just turned a corner, and with a hair-raising sound, a horrifying scene suddenly confronted him.

In front of the passage.

There curled a misshapen creature, its body twisted and huge, its skin covered with various strange patterns and lumps, seemingly a victim of so unknown disease.

The bright light from the Lighting Spell shone on this creature, revealing the disease it succumbed to, at the side of the creature’s head was an obvious twisted human face.

Pale, skinny, viciously terrifying—this face contrasts sharply with the creature’s body, as if forcibly embedded, making it feel eerie.

"I knew I had bad luck today!"

Ian was startled.

The misshapen creature was disturbed by his Lighting Spell, the face occupying the top of its head suddenly opened its eyes, cold and malicious, locking with Ian’s gaze.

"Turns out it’s a Hogwarts...student...seems fate sides with ." The face revealed a bizarre smile, its voice hoarse yet carrying excitent and surprise.

Fiery black mist began to envelop.

The twisted, incomplete soul controlled the misshapen creature to stand.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The eerie green light seed to dye the entire underground corridor with a layer of green.

It ca from the casting of a magic wand.

A tense Little Wizard seized the initiative.
