Chapter 761

Alex crouched down beside her and called out to her, "Wandy?"

"Hmm?" Wanda Wesley responded with her eyes closed.

Alex gently asked, "It’s very late, should I send you ho?"

Wanda nodded and stood up.

She was very drunk and couldn’t stand very steady.

Alex simply carried her on his back like he did when they were young and walked out.

With her on his back, his heart finally felt settled.

After placing her in the passenger seat and fastening her seatbelt, Alex set the navigation, recalled the na of the residential complex Wanda had ntioned earlier, and was about to start the car when suddenly a voice ca from the side.

"Brother."

The long-lost title made Alex’s heart clench tightly.

He felt an overwhelming emotion that brought him to tears.

"Yes?" He responded.

Wanda didn’t open her eyes; she was speaking in her sleep.

"Brother, I’m sorry."

In that mont, Alex suddenly beca selfish.

He changed his mind and didn’t take Wanda to her ho but brought her to his own.

When he bought the house, he had prepared a room for Wanda and his foster father, which had been reserved all these years.

He wanted to bring her ho.

With that thought in mind, he imdiately put it into action.

After dinner, Robert Foster contacted Charles Carrington to book his ti for the following two days to practice driving on the weekend.

Alexander Foster had already notified Charles Carrington in advance, so when Robert asked him, he directly ntioned the ti and place.

After settling this matter,Robert was very happy.

Chloe Collins glanced at him, thinking of how Wanda liked him and wanting to help her out.

So she said, "It’s so late; I wonder if Wanda is ho yet."

Her words successfully caught Robert’s attention.

"She hasn’t gone back?"

"I don’t know," said Chloe. "She hasn’t replied to my ssage."

Robert thought about it and said, "Should I go over and take a look?"

Ever since he saw how coldly the Hamiltons treated Wanda that day, he began to worry about her.

Especially now.

Thinking about it, he turned to Chloe and asked, "Did Alex look for her because of Shelby Hamilton’s matter?"

Alex was Shelby’s boyfriend, and Shelby was Wanda’s half-sister.

He could only think about this aspect, otherwise he couldn’t find any other explanation.

Chloe: "You have to ask her that."

Robert nodded, "Yeah, it’s better to ask her in person. Anyway, I have nothing to do now, my howork is done, I don’t want to watch television, and I just ate a lot, so I might as well take a walk."

As he spoke, he went to find his coat to wear.

In a short while, he went out.

As soon as he left, he ran quickly, kicking up snowflakes behind him.

Then, Chloe heard soone say in her ear, "Has Cain taken a liking to her?"

The person speaking was William Foster.

Chloe bit an apple and looked at Alexander to let him speak.

Alexander said, "He might not know what ’liking’ ans yet."

Evelyn Thompson: "Nonsense. How could he not even know what ’liking’ ans? I think he likes her very much."

In the blink of an eye, the clock’s hour hand reached twelve.

The surrounding lights had dimd, and Robert stood at the doorstep of the Wesley’s ho with a bag in his hands, filled with snacks he bought on his way.

He looked at the unread ssage on his phone and felt anxious.

There was no sign of life in the surrounding area of Wesley’s house; obviously, no one was there.

He had waited for several hours, and Wanda should have been back by now if she was going to return.

After so thought, he called Chloe to ask if Wanda wasn’t coming back.

The phone was quickly connected.

But he couldn’t speak, his eyes fixated on the second floor balcony of the Wesley’s house, suddenly straightened!
