Chapter 748
Late at night, everyone in the Fosters’ household was asleep.
Chloe Collins turned over in her bed, and Alex, upstairs, did the sa.
If they were in the sa room, they would be facing each other.
Before long, they both turned over in sync once more.
A little while later, the lights on the first and second floors turned on simultaneously.
The door opened.
Chloe went out to get a drink of water.
Soon, she heard movent coming from the second floor.
She turned around and saw Alexander Foster standing on the stairs.
The instant their eyes t, she blurted out, "Good night."
Then she quickly walked back to her room.
Alexander watched the young Miss Collins’ retreating figure, chuckling lowly before tossing back, "Good night," from a distance.

The next day, this brief winter break ca to an end.
Over a week prior, many students at Affiliated High School had already spontaneously gone to the school for self-study.
Robert Foster’s recordings were temporarily paused, and he was no longer participating, opting to return to school to prepare for the College Entrance Exam instead.
Early tomorrow morning, Chloe and Wanda Wesley would report to the Training Squad with Lilian Pearce.
So Lydia Lowell suggested that they take advantage of today’s break and have a great ti, also as a way to welco Wanda to their research group.
Chloe woke up early and agreed upon seeing this ssage.
At around eight, she had already packed her things and left ho early.
The three agreed to et at Hidden Nooks for breakfast.
Not long after Chloe arrived, Layla and Lydia showed up as well.
Soon after, the waiter served their food.
Wanda said, "Feel free to eat. From now on, when you co here to eat, you don’t have to pay."
Lydia blinked, "Why? Aren’t you just working part-ti here?"
Wanda laughed sheepishly and said, "Actually, I own Hidden Nooks."
Lydia paused in her movent, the shrimp dumpling in her mouth still unswallowed.
"Sotis I co here to cook, but it’s not part-ti work. Cooking is my hobby, and I make ti to co here at least once a week. I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want to attract attention."
Lydia and Chloe nodded slightly, looking at Wanda with admiration.
Chloe: "Girls who can cook are incredible."
Lydia: "Agreed."
Wanda smiled, "Do you want to learn? I can teach you."
Chloe: "I only want to eat."
Lydia raised her hand: "Sa here."
Lydia: "Whoever marries you is going to be so lucky."
Chloe raised an eyebrow and exchanged glances with Lydia, nodding in agreent.
Wanda suddenly put down her chopsticks and said, "I like Robert Foster."
Chloe: "I know."
Lydia: "Cough, cough... Since when?"
Wanda smiled, "You guys aren’t interested in him, are you?"
Chloe ate her food and said indifferently, "I won’t fight you for him."
Lydia laughed twice and said, "Robert? I’m not interested in him, but several of my friends have crushes on him!"
Wanda’s eyes flashed with a hint of nace, "Who are they?"
Lydia blinked and laughed, "Nevermind, nevermind. They’re fickle, and not only interested in Robert."
Wanda looked down, "I only like him."
Seeing her serious expression, Lydia glanced at Chloe and mouthed, "Did she confess her feelings?"
Before Chloe could respond, Wanda suddenly spoke, "I haven’t confessed to him. I’m afraid of scaring him."
She looked at Chloe and Lydia, her smile a little bitter, "I asked him once, and he said he doesn’t like girls who lie. But I’ve been lying all the ti... Even this appearance is fake."
