Chapter 636

The weather in Orlando was warr than in the Capitol, and it did not snow.

As soon as Chloe Collins exited the airport, she headed straight to a specific hospital.

She rembers that when Wanda Wesley fainted during the last exam, that was the hospital where she was taken.

She had her doubts at that ti, which remained unresolved to this day. Last night, after carefully thinking it over, a sudden anxiety gripped her as she realized that Wesley and Wandy might be connected. She was here now to confirm this.

Speaking about it would seem absurd to others, considering the stark difference in appearance between Wesley and Wandy. It was hard to imagine they were the sa person.

So she needed to find more evidence.

She scheduled an appointnt with the doctor who treated Wanda last ti then waited outside. After three others had gone in, it was ti for lunch, and she was the only one left in the waiting area.

Upon hearing her na, she stood up and walked in.

The doctor was paying attention to his computer but looked surprised when he saw her. Then he looked up at her.

Chloe Collins pulled out the chair and sat down, taking off her mask in the anti.

The doctor was startled.

Not only because the person before his eyes had been the topic of recent entertainnt news, but more importantly, she was the person he least wanted to see now.

He rembered being grilled by her last ti; he had almost slipped up. Now that she was here again, she must have discovered sothing.

"Where are you feeling unwell?" He forced himself to stay calm, reassuring himself that she might have just co for a regular check-up.

Chloe Collins, with her hands in her pockets, leaned against the chair’s backrest, a faint smile on her face. "You should rember , right?"

Initially, she was not certain whether the doctor would rember her, but his reaction now confird for her that he did.

The doctor’s gaze faltered. "If you’re not here for a dical consultation, please leave."

"Have you been living in fear these past days?"

The doctor remained silent, picked up his glasses and began cleaning them. His hand was shaking as if he might drop the glasses at any mont.

Chloe Collins pondered for two seconds. She looked up and said calmly, "The fact is, it isn’t her first ti suffering like this. I need to understand and learn about the symptoms that appear every ti she has an attack in order to cure her."

Her tone was relaxed, her smile friendly: "You know, I am a perfur. Sotis I receive odd requests to heal people, but when the patient won’t cooperate with , I have to turn to you."

As soon as she spoke, she leaned forward onto the table, a pen appearing in her left hand, spinning rapidly, constantly jumping between her fingers. The blur from the spinning pen reflected in the doctor’s pupils, as though possessing so srizing power and absorbed all his attention in an instant.

At that mont, her eyes, clear like a lake surface, focused on the doctor’s and she asked softly: "Tell , what exactly happened in the operating room that day?"

Her voice was very soft, like the sound of a needle dropping on the ground. Yet, in the doctor’s ears, it felt like the only sound left in the world.

He slowly turned his eyes to et Chloe Collins’s gaze, his eyes growing distant and unfocused.

"That day, we received a patient nad Wanda Wesley. She was a student from the Capitol who had co to Orlando University for an examination. She was unconscious, so we examined her right away. We discovered many tiny tubular objects inside her body, so we planned to operate and remove them."

Upon saying this, the doctor suddenly stopped, his eyes reflecting terror.

At this mont, he was already leaning against the backrest of his chair.
