Chapter 623

At those words, Charles Carrington looked up, took off his glasses, and asked, "Awkward period? Ambiguous? So, they’re not together yet?"

Maurice Willis panicked, "Shh-- don’t let Mr. Foster know that I spoke about it."

"What’s the rush? He’s busy venting his anger, he can’t hear you. Speak, what’s happening?"

Maurice Willis laughed awkwardly, unconsciously smacking his own lips, ntally berating himself: serves you right for being a blabbermouth.

He paused his words, then said, "Actually, it’s nothing. It’s probably just that Miss Collins is still young and hasn’t gotten around to thinking about these things yet, which is why she has not yet agreed..."

"Excuses," Charles Carrington laughed, saying, "Girls her age are probably harboring the most romantic notions about love. It’s impossible that she’s not ready, the only possibility is that she’s not into your boss."

Having said that, he shook his head and comnted, "Trust Chloe Collins. I guess she’s the only person in this world who could reduce him to this state."

Maurice Willis imdiately rebutted, "No, it’s not that Miss Collins has absolutely no feelings. A few days ago in Firenze, she even introduced herself as Mr. Foster’s girlfriend to so people."

Charles Carrington frowned, "Hmm? Is that so?"

Maurice Willis widened his eyes, "It’s true! Absolutely true!"

Charles Carrington smiled, "Perhaps she casually ntioned it for her convenience. If she had decided to agree, she wouldn’t be stringing Alexander Foster along like this."

Maurice Willis disagreed, "Who can predict matters of the heart? Before this, I couldn’t believe that Alexander Foster would put himself down just to consider the feelings of a young lady. But isn’t that what he’s doing right now? After seeing the news, he didn’t even make a single call to Miss Collins! Don’t dare to ask. Mr. Carrington, have you ever seen Alexander Foster act so humbly?"

Charles Carrington laughed again, "Really? He didn’t even dare to make a call?"

"He held the phone and thought about it for a long ti. When he finally called, he only said one sentence."

"What was it?"

"The weather’s cold, rember to dress warmly."

"That’s it?"

"Yes, that’s all!"

Charles Carrington laughed heartily, showing no rcy.

"He’s such a coward... truly a disgrace to us n."

Even as they spoke, Alexander Foster had stopped circling and taken off his helt, beginning to walk in their direction.

With a face as cold as ice, he exuded an intimidating aura.

Charles Carrington did not hide his laughter, instead saying, "Don’t ntion that you’re my brother when you go out."

"Oh man, what a coward!"

He smirked and feigned a kick in front of Alexander Foster.

Alexander Foster’s dark eyes sunk, "What’s so funny?"

Maurice Willis quietly turned around, quickly tiptoeing away from the scene.

Charles Carrington candidly stated, "You haven’t won over Chloe Collins?"

Alexander Foster picked up a bottle of water and drank half of it, aloofly replying, "Mind your own business."

Just as he finished speaking, his mobile phone, which was on the table, rang.

Charles Carrington instinctively glanced over, catching sight of the displayed na: Chlo-Chlo.

Turning to look at Alexander Foster, he saw a stark difference in his expression compared to a mont ago.

Alexander Foster picked up the phone and answered, settling down comfortably on the chair as he did so.

Charles Carrington moved closer, straining his ears to listen.

From the other end, Chloe Collins’s calm voice ca through.

"I want to borrow you for a while, okay?"

Charles Carrington raised his eyebrows, continuing to listen.

Alexander Foster cheerfully responded, "How do you want to use ?"

"Pictures."

"Pictures?"

"Yes, send a side profile of yourself that you’re pleased with. Preferably a full body photo."

"Can I know what you’re using it for?" Alexander Foster’s gentle voice revealed his curiosity.

Chloe Collins answered directly, "For clearing up so stuff, you can consider it acting in a play."

Many thoughts flew around Charles Carrington’s mind, and he couldn’t help but speak, "Chloe Collins, what are you scheming? Hmm?"

Despite the light tone, there was still a hint of resentnt.

Chloe Collins paused for a second, then said, "Oh, Charles Carrington, you’re there too. Okay, then either of you can send a photo."

Alexander Foster coldly glanced at Charles Carrington, extended his leg, and unceremoniously kicked him aside.
