Chapter 584
Could it be that the worries in his heart are truly gradually disappearing?!
Rosalind Taylor was so shocked that she couldn’t speak.
After a long ti, she hurriedly sent a ssage to Raine Nolan, comforting her.
[Don’t worry, as long as you get three passes, this round will be considered passed. Combine that with your theoretical scores, and you’ll be considered qualified as long as your overall score is up to par!]
[Raine Nolan: But, getting three passes only gets sixty points. Even if I scored perfectly in the previous rounds, my average score would only be eighty, not ninety points. If it’s not ninety points, there will be no chance of becoming an apprentice!]
[Put the matter of apprenticeship aside for now, just focus on the competition!]
[Raine Nolan: I’m worried that Chloe Collins will play dirty, not giving a single pass, what do I do?]
This was exactly the problem that Rosalind Taylor was worried about.
In the past few months, Chloe Collins had been at odds with them, to say the least.
Now that there was an opportunity to make things difficult for them, how could she let it go?
[There are so many people here, I’ll snub her, so she won’t dare to act recklessly!]
So she reassured Raine Nolan one ssage at a ti until the competition began.
Tristan Collins’ phone vibrated several tis.
It was all ssages.
He showed the ssages to Rosalind Taylor with a delighted expression on his face, "Look."
Rosalind Taylor thought it was sothing to do with the competition and leaned over to take a look, her face slowly darkening.
It turned out to be people congratulating Tristan Collins on having such a talented daughter!
She checked those ladies’ group chats, everyone was talking about it.
Many people posted screenshots in the group, but no one ntioned her!
They were all ntioning... Evelyn Thompson!
One after another, they were congratulating Evelyn Thompson and praising Chloe Collins for being talented and skilled!
Rosalind Taylor quickly put her phone away, out of sight out of mind.
As she looked up, her gaze fell upon Chloe Collins on the stage, making her feel even more suffocated!
A heavy sense of resentnt rose from deep within her heart.
She clearly rembered that Joy Taylor had promised Tristan Collins back then that she wouldn’t teach Chloe Collins any of her skills!
She sneered.
It turned out that her so-called best friend had been lying to her! Lying to them!
Miles White... Young Master Miles White...
That wild girl turned out to be the famous Miles White...
She laughed derisively, her eyes nearly reaching the brink of madness!
Tristan Collins, imrsed in watching the competition, paid her no heed.
The theoretical knowledge could be quickly grasped through reading, but the practical part was where real skills could be seen at a glance.
In this round, the candidates relied on their luck to draw questions and had to complete the tasks within a limited ti given. Finally, they presented their finished products to the judges.
So questions were difficult, so were easy; which one you got was entirely up to chance.
All the perfus in the competition could be prepared in a short amount of ti, without requiring a long wait.
Raine Nolan’s turn ca up as the eighth contestant, and she didn’t have to wait long before it was her turn.
At this point, the results for the fifth contestant had already been announced.
Of the five contestants, only one had received a unanimous pass; two had received three votes; one had received four votes; and one had received only two votes, indicating failure in this round.
The unsuccessful contestant imdiately burst into tears and ran out of the room.
Raine Nolan stared at Chloe Collins.
From the beginning until now, Chloe had only given one pass.
And the one who had passed was the most experienced and respected candidate in this group, deservedly so.
Then, the remaining four contestants were all given a "fail" by Chloe.
Raine Nolan was extrely dissatisfied.
The other four judges were all older and more experienced than Chloe Collins, yet even they had approved these contestants. However, Chloe had given them a "fail."
Chloe’s reasons for failure were simple - "not enough," "a little short," "lacking uniqueness," "there is no middle ground, only good and not good, keep working hard."
The more Raine Nolan thought about it, the more she felt that Chloe Collins was deliberately targeting the contestants.
Her sense of injustice grew heavier and heavier.
Finally, amidst this overwhelming tension, she heard her own na being called.
It was her turn to take the stage!
