Chapter 578
Rosalind Taylor suddenly rembered.
"Honey, I..." she began.
"What’s wrong?" Tessa Collins walked over, asking with a smile.
Tristan Collins stared at Rosalind, his voice low. "Don’t tell you forgot about this."
Rosalind jumped, hurriedly saying, "Don’t be impatient, I’m going to call him right now. Nothing will happen. He’s with his sister."
With that, she took out her phone to make a call.
Tristan, looking displeased, turned away and went inside the house.
Tessa asked, "Chloe Collins is in Firenze too?"
Rosalind nodded. "That’s what Theodore said. Apparently, she ca over with her friends. Theodore went to hang out with them."
Tessa chuckled. "Of all the places to vacation, she chose here. Perhaps she wanted to be with us but was too shy to say so, so she followed us sneakily."
Rosalind managed a strained smile and didn’t reply.
Tessa went inside the house in high spirits, carrying the shopping bags.
Raine Nolan noticed that sothing was off with her mother, so in a low voice, she asked, "Mom, what’s wrong?"
As Rosalind dialed Theodore’s number, she told Raine, "Chloe Collins showed up here out of the blue. When Theodore saw her, he went to find her on his own. Your father asked to arrange for soone to look after them, but I forgot."
Raine frowned, "Chloe Collins is already an adult. Does she still need soone to look after her? Besides, she probably doesn’t even want our help. Why should we proactively reach out to her?"
Rosalind replied with so irritation, "It’s about appearances. Your father may be strict, but he cares a lot about Theodore. He’s the only male of our generation in the Collins family. If anything happens, he’ll hold responsible."
Just as she finished speaking, a long dial tone sounded from the phone.
"Why isn’t the child answering the phone?"
Rosalind muttered.
Raine, holding Rosalind’s arm, suggested, "Let’s go inside first. It’s freezing out here."
"He doesn’t like us, so he’s probably not answering your call on purpose."
Rosalind waited for a while, a frown on her face. Eventually, the call ended automatically.
She redialed.
Again, no one answered.
"Mom, just as I said, he definitely won’t answer your call. Maybe he’s even laughing at us while looking at his phone now!"
Raine grumbled.
Rosalind retorted, "So what? As long as he’s still the eldest grandson of the Collins family, I have to show him respect."
Seeing that the call was not going through, Rosalind dialed Chloe Collins’ number.
This ti, the phone was switched off.
"Mom, they’re doing it on purpose! One isn’t answering and the other has turned off the phone. They must have planned this!" Raine shook her head.
Tessa, who was eating fruit, overheard this.
She ca over and asked what was going on.
Raine explained briefly.
Tessa imdiately looked serious. "Rosalind, don’t spoil them, ignore them!"
Tristan was coming downstairs after changing his clothes, so he asked about the situation.
Tessa replied, "Both children are intentionally not answering their phones, ssing with us."
"Tristan," she continued, "these are not my words. You can’t spoil them. Rosalind is their elder, and she’s being treated this way. You, as their father, must discipline them properly."
"They didn’t answer?" Tristan raised an eyebrow.
He took out his phone and was about to make a call when Tessa snatched the phone away.
"No! You cannot coddle them. Listen to your big sister!"
"If you keep indulging them this ti, they’ll get too arrogant. They need to understand the attitude of their elders."
Tristan didn’t try to take his phone back. Instead, he said, "Prepare dinner."
That was his agreent with Tessa.
Tessa was delighted, "Exactly! That’s how you discipline children. Call them tomorrow. By then, they’ll definitely be back. There’s no need to worry!"
