Chapter 1703

The materials left were still not enough to et the market’s demand. If mass-produced, these dicines could only be given to front-line personnel who were injured first.

On that day, Chloe Collins and Alexander Foster, leading Albert Green and a representative from the officials, reported the matter to their superiors, waiting for further instructions.

Unexpectedly, in less than a day, news of the antidote’s completion spread quickly, and within hours, it made the headlines.

The officials did not co forward to confirm or deny the rumors, prompting the citizens to discuss and speculate about the truth.

Chloe and Alex did not rush to make a statent, but instead waited for instructions from above. Once they were granted permission, they would imdiately start mass production of the first batch of dicine.

The next day, just past noon, the family had just finished lunch and went to their rooms for a siesta.

The n were not at ho, so at the Company, others in the barracks.

But Chloe was at ho, and the won of the house were not worried about anything and went about their business with peace of mind.

Over the past few days, everyone in the house had unanimously started to regard Chloe as the Master. Where they used to consult the Master for everything before, now the Master told them to ask Chloe.

If Chloe agreed, it was settled.

She couldn’t be bothered with these affairs, so she troubled Evelyn Thompson to handle them instead.

At the mont, she was reading a book she had won from Chase Carrington, with a plate of sour plums beside her, eating them one after another.

She read quickly and soon reached the final page. When she was just about to finish the last page, a servant ca to report that Rosalind Taylor had arrived.

"Second Young Mistress, do you want to see her?"

Chloe thought for a mont and then said, "Don’t."

"But she says she knows where Joy Taylor is."

This threw Chloe off her mood, causing her to put the book down before finishing the last page.

"Let her wait in the guest room."

A few minutes later, Chloe entered the guest room, where only Rosalind Taylor was sitting.

She looked different from the day she knelt before Chloe, disheveled. Today, she seed to have recovered so of her forr splendor, looking neat and tidy with an assertive bearing in her eyes and brows.

Seeing her, Rosalind Taylor smiled faintly, "It’s good you’re willing to see your aunt."

"Stop with that act, state your purpose."

Chloe sat down calmly, composed and self-possessed.

Rosalind Taylor: "Fair enough, since you and I are hardly strangers, I won’t beat around the bush. I’ve co to ask for the antidote. You know that Raine has contracted the virus. She’s getting weaker every day. I heard that you have developed the antidote, though it’s in limited supply, so I wanted to ask for a portion."

She smiled, "Of course, I wouldn’t ask for it for nothing. I’ll definitely pay whatever is due, and I know you’re looking for my sister, and I happen to know where she is."

Chloe looked at her indifferently, "Do you think your words still carry any credibility with ?"

Rosalind Taylor did not mind her disdain: "Whether they do or not, you’ve seen today, haven’t you? This ans you’re willing to trust ."

"The location of the Camp of Third Battalion Fifth Company, Southwest Military District, is the entrance to where your mother is. If you don’t believe , you can send soone to check it out. I got this information from Raine, who had always acted alongside Valleys. There’s no mistake in the ssage."

"Actually, I’ve always trusted you a lot. I was one of the first to get your family’s Vaccine when it ca out, and I believe you could also develop this antidote. Despite the many misunderstandings between us in the past, it’s all in the past now. You wouldn’t really hold a grudge against your aunt, would you?"
