Chapter 1650
With this sound, the crowd all breathed a sigh of relief and clapped cheerfully.
However, not a single one of them left, each and every one of them stayed by Chloe Collins’ side.
Seeing this, Chloe moved the airplane to an open area and stopped there, an act that took a great deal of effort. She felt so discomfort in her abdon and quickly withdrew her hand.
Alexander Foster returned just in ti to see her holding her stomach with a pained expression on her face.
"Are you feeling unwell?" he asked, concerned.
Chloe recovered from that bout of strength, shook her head and said, "I’m fine."
Therefore, Alexander Foster was even more determined to send her away, not just her, but all of them needed to leave the city.
"Excuse , may I take a look?"
Suddenly, a woman’s voice sounded.
Chloe turned her head and saw a woman in her thirties looking at her with concern, with a child behind her.
She spoke in Chinese.
"Are you from Grearon?"
The woman nodded, "Yes, my husband works here. My son and I ca to visit him, but we didn’t expect to encounter this troubleso virus. The place where we originally stayed was no longer inhabitable, so we had no choice but to seek temporary shelter at the hotel here."
She looked at Chloe’s belly and said, "I am an obstetrician. Miss Collins, if you have any discomfort, I think I might be able to help."
Chloe listened to her and looked at the child behind her, her expression softening.
She asked, "Young miss, you’re very brave."
Other children were shivering in their parents’ arms, many of them had already started crying, while this boy seed unusually calm, even able to calmly observe the Mutated People passed out on the ground.
He looked at Chloe, said nothing, and suddenly flashed a smile.
Chloe withdrew her gaze.
"If that’s the case, then I’m troubling you."
She said to the woman.
The woman took her pulse, and after a short while, she concluded, "Madam has been affected by fetal distress, you must lay down and rest; fortunately there’s a pharmacy nearby. I’ll go and get so dicine for you to take, and after resting for half a day, it should be better. You must not travel long distances, otherwise it could cause serious harm."
As she said this, she looked straight at Alexander Foster, as if she were specifically advising him.
At this mont, Jas Cunningham and others hurried over and said, "Miss Collins, Mr. Foster, you two should go back first. I’ve already left the task to others to handle, and they will take care of it!"
"Yes, you two must not be put in danger!"
The woman interjected, "Madam, forgive my bluntness, you really shouldn’t be traveling now, doing so could harm the child."
Jas Cunningham was confused, "What happened?"
The woman looked at Alexander Foster, "Mr. Foster, you also wouldn’t want Madam and the child to be endangered, would you? I advise you to wait a while longer before leaving. If you really must go, at least eat the dicine first."
Chloe herself didn’t feel it was urgent, but since it involved the child, she had to consider it.
Alexander Foster was concerned about her health, and if it were as serious as described, he couldn’t risk her developing permanent health issues by rushing these few hours.
Just as they were undecided, Alexander Foster received a phone call.
The caller was from the airplane.
Alexander Foster took the call, and as it continued, his face grew increasingly grim.
"Has there been an incident with the plane?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, this city has essentially fallen. There are their people everywhere in the sky, our airplane dares not co over."
Chloe made up her mind, "If that’s the case, it must be fate. Tell them not to co over for now, it won’t be too late to co after things have settled down here."
If she left like this, she wouldn’t be at ease.
