Chapter 1648
Bang!
A loud crash of a door being broken open suddenly sounded from ahead.
Alexander Foster and Chloe Collins stopped in their tracks, and Jas Cunningham, who was on the phone, got startled and hurriedly asked, "What was that noise? Has sothing happened?"
"You’re right, they’ve co up, take care of your side," Alexander said indifferently and then hung up the phone.
He put away his phone and started walking quickly toward the elevator, pulling Chloe along.
"Hey," Chloe tugged on his arm, "no need."
He turned around, t her gaze, and instantly understood what she was planning to do.
"No, Albert Green said that it could disturb the baby if you do that.
"It’s fine, I know what I’m doing." Chloe had just finished speaking when the door to the staircase was broken open, and several people surged out, like an invasion of zombies!
At the sa ti, the elevator on the other side opened, and a group of people scread as they ran out, bloodstains on their bodies.
They had just run out when the people on this side pounced on them.
Just as they were about to bite, the three terrified people huddled together.
Suddenly, they saw several mutated beings floating mid-air, and as their gaze widened, they spotted a young pregnant woman with a slightly bulging belly raising her hand toward them, seemingly controlling the beings.
Shocked, the people hastily got up and ran behind them to escape.
Chloe casually pointed, and the people were sent flying out the window, directly toward the mutated beings attacking the wire fence.
The mutated beings in this area were instantly cleared out.
She looked up at the man and said, "I told you it wouldn’t take much effort, do you believe now?"
Alexander saw that she could still joke at a ti like this and couldn’t help but laugh as he pulled her forward, "Alright, I believe you, let’s go."
The two of them quickly reached the top floor using the elevator and realized there were quite a few people hiding there.
Monts later, Jas Cunningham and others also ran up.
Seeing this, so people took things to block the doorway, probably worried that the mutated beings would co up.
A group huddled together, with many people staring at the two of them.
One could easily imagine what the situation would be like once the airplane arrived.
Chloe asked him, "You’re thinking the sa as , right?"
Alexander knew what she ant; it was nothing but the concerns about the arrival of the airplane.
He said, "As soon as the plane arrives, you must go."
"Regarding these people, I will contact other airplanes, and the local military won’t ignore them either."
Seeing him so worried, Chloe could only nod.
The rumbling sound approached, and everyone looked up at the sky.
Chloe wondered, "Didn’t they say thirty minutes?"
It had been less than fifteen minutes since Alexander had made that call, how could it have arrived so soon?
Alexander frowned, "It’s not our plane."
His grip on Chloe’s hand tightened as he strode toward the doorway, pushing all the obstructions away.
Seeing him do this without asking questions, Chloe knew sothing was wrong and helped him clear the obstructions, swiftly sweeping everything away.
The others saw this and ca forward to stop them, and so even started yelling at them.
Jas Cunningham and the others also gathered around.
"Mr. Foster, what’s happening?"
Alexander glanced over and addressed everyone in the local language, "The plane above us has co with ill intent, most likely with mutated people. We must leave this place as soon as possible."
"Impossible!"
"How could it be, that’s our military’s plane, they’ve co to save us!"
The locals all objected, paying no heed to Alexander’s advice.
Alexander had no ti to attend to others, pulling Chloe down with him, "We’ll take a car to another location."
Jas Cunningham and the others followed them.
