Chapter 1632
She had rely glanced over them, but among those signs, she saw her own na and Alexander Foster’s.
Indeed, the crowd wasn’t just welcoming their country’s President; they were welcoming them as well.
Quite a surprise.
"Tired?" Alexander’s voice rang in her ear.
Her attention was on the scenery outside the car, while his gaze was fixed on her.
Before she could speak, she was drawn to the spectacle at the grand hall building in the doorway.
What caught her eye was the couple descending the stairs hand in hand. They were very young, the man dashing and the woman beautiful. They didn’t look like political figures but rather like movie stars.
The man was tall and commanding, with a presence that was authoritative and features that were deep-set and handso. His eyes were a pale blue, indicative of his mixed heritage. The woman exuded a genteel and ethereal charm, with a lovely smile and a graceful posture, following her husband’s lead step by step toward them.
The President’s tie and the First Lady’s dress were color-coordinated, and the look they shared brimd with abundant love and acceptance.
"That’s Corynthia’s President Grayson Hill, and beside him is his wife, Darla Palr," Alexander said.
Chloe didn’t shift her gaze nor did she respond.
After a while, her eyes finally moved away from Grayson Hill and back to Alexander, and then, she slightly furrowed her brow.
With a smile mingling with a frown, Alexander asked, "What? Comparing to him?"
Chloe ca back to her senses, "It’s nothing. Looks aren’t that important. Don’t take it to heart."
The man’s smile faded a bit; did this an he had lost?!
"Are you guys the sa age?" Chloe looked ahead and casually asked.
"He’s a few years older than ."
"Ah, I see. It doesn’t really show," she said softly as she looked at the distant figure of Grayson Hill.
Alexander gently took her hand, turned her face toward him, and without a word laid a kiss upon her, a deep kiss that conveyed a shade of displeasure in his dark eyes: "Be good. Your husband is right here. Don’t look at others."
Chloe furrowed her brow but a faint smile spread across her lips.
Soon, their car door opened, and, hand in hand, they stepped out to greet the President and the First Lady alongside their country’s President.
The visit’s protocol was rather elaborate, but both were not the main characters; they only needed to quietly follow along.
During this eting, several economic cooperation agreents had been reached between the two countries, including the Foster Group vaccine.
Upon reaching this part, Chloe and her partner beca the focal point of the caras; only during this respite did they exchange a few words.
After this segnt, they weren’t required to continue with the President’s itinerary and were arranged to rest in a visitor’s garden in the Palace.
It was precisely two in the afternoon, nap ti.
Even though it was late autumn, today was sunny, everywhere was bright and clear, and even the breeze felt warm.
Alexander opened the window to let the gentle breeze in, freshening the room’s air. Turning back, he saw her sitting in a chair, dragging her shoes, and so he walked over, crouched down, took her shoes off, and started gently rotating her ankle while massaging her foot.
"Does that feel a bit better?" he asked, but heard no reply.
Looking up, he saw his girl had already fallen asleep, seemingly able to do so with just the slightest touch to the back of her head.
He picked her up, placed her in bed, tucked the blanket around her, and as he watched her sleeping form, his lips unconsciously curled up.
"My dear, this is a resting place for honored guests. If He knew you were here, you’d be penalized,"
"I’m just here on my father’s behalf to visit an old friend, and I’ve brought gifts too,"
Two voices, one mature and one young, drifted in from outside.
Alexander glanced at Chloe, and seeing she was still asleep, he felt at ease and walked toward the doorway.
